Such a great spot for lunch or a snack! The lunch menu is limited, with a soup of the day (which is usually vegan-friendly) and grilled cheese sandwiches being offered. Of course, there is also fresh baked bread, cookies and pastries, as well as a small selection of local products including hot sauce, ceramics and salted caramels. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, and the owner is clearly passionate about what she does!

We've been searching for a great bakery since moving to Nova Scotia from Ontario a couple of years ago. This is it! Great selection of sourdough… some of the best we’ve ever had. Thank you!

Me and my family LOVE croissants (we have had them in just about every province and in several countries), spending between $50 and $150 on them each time and these are the best that we have had. The flavour profile, amount of flake, the chocolate they use and just about everything about these croissants is done right! Great job and we will be back next time we are in town.

People used to look at me and say "Why do you hate scones so much", to which I would reply "They are dry, miserable, and tasteless" That is until I stepped into Red Knot Bakery. This pleasant little couple urged me to try a Cheese and Herb scone, even after hearing how much I have hated scones in the past. I stand before you all now a man who enjoys the odd scone (I am currently enjoying one as I type). But ONLY if it comes from Red Knot Bakery. NOT TO MENTION They make the finest damn bread in North America.

Well, decided to try this spot around Valentine's Daysince I got a Facebook notification regarding some treats for someone's sweets...I ordered too much...as usual, but even a tiny crumb did NOT go to any type of waste ( oh, ok my waist..ah me). In theory, I ordered for 'my sweetheart' 4 cannelloni ( a weakness); 4 dark chocolate truffles; 4 chocolate cream puffs and 6 strawberry cream puffs( I just had a feeling they'd be good). Everything was amazing.SO yummy.I almost put myself ( and my partner) in a coma..So began my ongoing love of this delightful, talented person(s)..the croissants..( usually plain, almond, chocolate and chocolate nutella) over the moon delicious. Recently the danishes have been strawberry shortcake, tastes exactly like it; cherry cream, so good, and now offering savory ones. The other baked goods she offers are mostly sourdough breads, very healthy muffins and cookies.I have yet to try these as I have some food allergies and issues. They are usually busy so it helps to call ahead. Also I have yet to learn their names so I can thank them personally. Your taste buds will be forever in your debt for trying anything from the bakery.

We just tried the Red Knot bakery for the first time and we are absolutely in love. We tried the plain croissant, the chocolate croissant and the banana chocolate hazelnut danish and they were to die for! These are at the top of our list for best croissants ever. We also grabbed an Americano and a latte which were delicious and we bought a loaf of country bread for later. Super excited to try that too as I’m sure it will be amazing like the rest. you can tell they do great business because there is a lineup of people waiting to get pastries, so come early! Super happy to have this gem in Truro! Looking forward to visiting often.

Small selection of exquisite pastries. The rhubarb and cream treat is one to run in for as it's only there for a short time. Delicious lattes, and impressive selection of kombucha flavours. They also sell Lure caramels, which are local and divine.

The best bakery in Truro... Period.
