My eggs were undercooked while my sausage and ham were overcooked. My pancake was still gooey inside. They served a poached egg in water, the fruit cup had fuit that had turned brown. The scrambled eggs were extremely salty to the point of being inedible and the home fries were half cooked and half raw. The restaurant was almost completely empty and it still took almost 30 minutes to get our food.

Went in for brunch and the wait staff were unfriendly and unwilling to accommodate a table of 7, regardless of the fact that we were willing to wait until they had enough room. They insisted that we had to separate or we couldn't eat there. Do not recommend for large groups! Very sad as I normally love to eat here; the food is excellent!

Delicious, delicious food! I had the bistro burger with fries and it was divine. My husband had the panko fried salmon cakes and a greek salad; it all looked, smelled, and tasted great. I was very happy with our service as well. We are on the road for our honeymoon and so we have been trying some new non-chain restaurants and I'm very glad we chose to try Justamere! If ever in Antigonish again I'll be coming back :)

We ordered eggs benedict medium eggs on a Sunday morning on a recent trip to the area. We were served powdered hollandaise poured over runny eggs and oil saturated potatoe slices. Lacking in any flavour except for the awful taste of the powdered sauce. Left most of it on the plate and left - never to return.

I had Fish cakes , fries , hard boiled eggs and toast here was amazingly delicious and wasn't hard on the stomach at all I would recommend if you want to dine out but still want food that taste like home cooked meal also cheers to the server who was extremely calm about the picky old lady behind me lol definitely recommend this place. Family of four. Belgian waffles were perfectly done and well enjoyed by the children. The eggs Benedict was delicious and the eggs were perfectly done. The star of the show, which just happened to be what I chose to eat, was the Portobello burger melt. It was simply divine. I paid the extra couple of bucks to have a cup of seafood chowder as my side and it was more than worth it. Unlike many of the other chowders served in the area, theirs is a just-thick-enough broth with a generous amount of seafood. It was the perfect place for a quick lunch stop on our road trip. Two thumbs up!

I heard so much about Justamere from family and friends. Took my son here for the chicken and waffles and there was not a crumb left on his plate. I had the eggs Benedict, it was delicious. We tried a number of baked goods from the bakery while back home visiting and all were super tasty. We will return!

I'm usually in for breakfast. Went for lunch today. Ordered the smoked salmon sandwich and specifically no onions. I could smell the onions as soon as the plate arrived. I picked as many off as I could see but the taste stayed in the sandwich. Sitting like a lump in my stomach. Huge disappointment. Won't be back

Maybe it was an off day but our food was bland and took about 20 minutes to get to us. Just disappointing. It was very busy that day. Upside, the place is a very nice space and our server was a very pleasant fellow. I would give it a second try because it seems like it should be a good place.

The service was good and the staff were quite friendly, but the food was only so-so and fairly expensive for small portions. A listed ingredient was missing from my sandwich, and the side soup that came with it was about three spoonfuls. Overall it was not a terrible experience or anything, but I'll be going somewhere else next time.

Really terrible experience. We went to this restaurant today ( I suggested this place as a place to stop for lunch while we were driving through Antigonish..I remembered stopping here years ago and having a positive experience). Unfortunately the staff they currently have are sub par and extremely unwelcoming to say the least. We walked into the nearly empty restsaurant ( one table in the restaurant ) and had the two staff members stare at us blankly and not say a word or tell us to sit down. We brushed this off and sat ourselves. We sat and waited for 10 minutes for one of the two serves to give us a menu or even acknowledge that we were there instead of them ignore us and advert eye contact.. We eventually just felt really awkard and not welcome so we left. Food looks great but honestly this place needs to hire better servers. We went down the road to BrownStone Cafe and had a great experience. Awesome friendly service and delicous food.

To be fair, they were swamped. But the service was awful, my fiancés omelette was visibly black burnt, and my omelette was still mushy. Would have asked for new plates, but no one even checked on us or asked how our meal was. Sausages were good.

Pleasant lunchtime stop while travelling. We had tasty sandwiches prepared with in-house bakery bread with fresh salad and a really good cup of seafood chowder! It was reasonably priced for the quality of food. Would visit again.

My husband and I might have spent about 1/3 of our time in this restaurant on a quiet afternoon actually enjoying our meal. It takes time to make excellent food - and the food is excellent - so we can understand why the kitchen wasn’t exactly fast, But though the service was accurate and friendly, it was exceptionally slow. We waited to be seated. Then we waited to be provided menus, to have drinks delivered and to have our order taken. The kitchen was about a 20 minute wait (worth it). But the most frustrating of all was the 25 minutes between finishing our meals and being able to pay. My husband left after the first five minutes because by that point we realized it wasn’t going to be quick. He made three transactions - in the mall, the pet store and the grocery store - by the time I was able to settle the bill. He asked where I’d been when I got to the car and was shocked that I was just getting out of the restaurant. Other than this it was a great experience. A creative menu, amazing ingredients and amazing baked goods. We look forward to visiting again and we will be prepared to be patient, but hopefully they can streamline things to reduce the unnecessary delays - from the customer’s perspective it really does seem like eons and it overshadows the excellent work in the kitchen.

DON'T eat here!!!! Went there for breakfast today, only one other couple there when we arrived so hoped we would not be there long as it was cold inside. Waitress toke our order and we did not have to wait long. Our breakfast both included home fries and toast. The home fries were sliced, warmed potatoes. Not fried, warmed in grease. They were brown as cut for some time like overnite. The toast was warm bread, not toasted. Warmed in a toaster. Scrambled eggs were oily as fried in oil. Why got one cup of coffee and were not offered any more. My wife (who does not complain)said it was the worst breakfast she ever had. We complained to the waitress but she still charged full price. We will NOT be going back!!!!!!!!!

Really tasty breakfast. The omelette was delicious. Service started out really great. They would have been given 4 stars if we hadn't waited a really really long time for our server to take our plates and bill us. We had to go to the counter after we had been waiting and needed to leave. Good food though and maybe our server just had an off day. We still tipped... no one is perfect.

Looked for 'breakfast in Antigonish' and its the second place that poped up ! As soon as i got there the atmosphere is great, calm. They seem to be busy. But they have nice art on the walls to look at when waiting for food. Waitress and waiter are very nice, quick service. When i get the food it is ever better than I expected!!! I took the normal breakfast: two eggs, real patatoe thin wedges, thick cut bacon and thick bakery bread and a thick pancake with maple syrup and a Honey Lemon tea! I'll definitely be coming here again!!! :)

Had the roasted pepper and Portobello wrap and it was amazing. The kids menu is reasonably priced and has an impressive variety. I wouldn't really have expected pizza here but much to my daughters delight there was! I've heard nothing but good things about here and am happy to find that they have a vegan friendly option!

I was in town this weekend for my mother's 75th birthday and wanted something really special to mark the occasion. I called Justamere and ordered the cake having never been to this bakery and having never heard anything about it. I was met with excellent service all the way. The cake was perfect! It was decorated with fresh edible flowers and it was truly a work of art. We thought there was no way the cake would taste as good as it looked and we were pleasantly surprised. The cake itself was also perfect, in fact, almost everyone that had a piece said it was probably the best cake they'd ever had. For the quality of cake and attention to detail in the decorating the price seems low. If you want to treat yourself to amazing cake that you won't soon forget, order one!

Restaurant was clean and server staff was nice. Took over 30 mins for our order to come out when there was only 3-4 other tables in the restaurant. Scrambled eggs were so salty they could not be eaten. Some of the home fries were cooked outside but still raw inside. My tablemates poached egg was served in a cup of water, and the $6.00 fruit cup was full of brown mushy fruit. Pancakes were cooked outside but not inside. For a table of 4 ppl who ordered full breakfast meals over half of the food we received was inedible. They offered to remake food but after waiting over 30 mins the first time we did not have time to wait again. Manager discounted out bill 50% which was appreciated but we will not go here again due to food quality. Other tables around us were complaining about time to receive orders and quality of food as well. Disappointing.
