I had lunch here with a friend on October 6, 2021, the third day of the provincial mandate which legally required all restaurants to ask for proof of COVID-19 vaccination from all dine-in customers. Later, it occurred to us that no one had asked us for our proof of vaccination. It really bothered me so the next day I called and spoke to the owner, asking that she abide by the law to ensure the health of her customers. She told me that the proof of vaccination was entirely voluntary on her part. If we would like to show it, that was fine, but they did not need to ask and if I was uncomfortable with this I could stay home. I felt I had no choice but to report the illegal activity of the business to both the police and NS public health.

Perfect! Need some comfort food? We got homemade soup and sandwiches made with fresh products! Have a blast and eat one of their cookies or cakes made in the bakery. Éloignez-vous des grandes chaînes et mangez de la vraie bouffe!

Food is always hot and fresh with home made bread for toast. I am particularly hooked on the Hash browns so much that I purchased a container of spice to use at home.

Stopped here for breakfast based on a recommendation from the people at the Visitor Centre. Friendly service and delicious and reasonable priced breakfast. Coffee is nice and there is a bakery attached to the restaurant. Cookies are delicious!! Close to the highway.

We have been going to the Brookfield Bakery (which is amazing also) for many years, but only tried this adjacent cafe this year. Well, the food is incredible, everything is homemade and delicious, but the Eggs Benny’s are the best we have ever eaten (and we have eaten them everywhere) you will not be disappointed with this place, only wish we would have tried it sooner. 5*

Mask mandate seems to be optional here. No one working or walking in is wearing a mask. Bathroom needs a good cleaning. Kids running around everywhere. Server also not wearing a mask. However the food was very good. Coffee is great also.

(Translated) Wearing a mask does not seem mandatory for employees at this restaurant. The toilets are not very clean. However, the food and coffee are excellent. Homemade bread and jams. In addition you can buy good pastries on site. (Original) Le port du masque ne semble pas obligatoire pour les employés à ce restaurant. Les toilettes ne sont pas très propres. Par contre, la nourriture et le café sont excellents. Pain et confitures maison. De plus vous pouvez acheter de bonnes pâtisseries sur place.

Great breakfast place! You go in and instantly smell the heavenly smell from the bakery! Breakfast was on point, atmosphere is cozy :)

Went for lunch. No tables available. Waited 15 minutes. No one greeted us or let us know how long the wait would be or gave us a menu or gave us the option of ordering so food would be ready when a table became available. No one in the restaurant had their food. Lots of tables that held 4 or more persons with 2 people sitting at them.
