We moved back to NS and thrilled to find Brookfield Bakery still in business. I have been going there since I was a kid. Their bread and rolls are second to none and their pies and cookies won't disappoint. They also have a great selection of jams, jellies and homemade pickles. If I told you my favorite it might be out of stock when I go back so I will let you be the judge ????

The Brookfield Bakery is a small jewel many people don't know about. It's hugely popular, and their products are delicious! Fresh bread, cookies, jams, pastries, ALL so good it's worth the trip from HRM to indulge... Bought scones that are to die for yummy, as well as date turnovers... Everything at this shop is incredibly tasty! If you get the chance, it's so worth the visit!! Give yourself a treat and check it out! You won't regret it, but you might get spoiled for lesser goodies!????

Best valued breakfast we have had since moving to the area. Classic breakfast with an extra egg and a second classic both with homemade toast and pan fried hasbrowns were excellent. The seasoning salt on the hasbrowns is instantly addictive. Friendly staff and a neat environment ensure we will be back

Love this place. I remember when I was young and my grandmother and grandfather (god rest her souls) used to take me to Truro ever 3 or 4 days or so. They always took the old way witch at the time I always complaned about but I must admit I very muchly enjoyed and now cherish. I remember my grandfather always saying something along the lines " we don't need to stop there today we have enough sweets and bread at home women", but my grandmother aways got her way and we would stop,witch I didn't mind at all because I knew I would get what I wanted there, lol. My grandmother found it strange that I wouldn't eat cookies I just didn't like them. But when we stopped at the bakery I always had one of their cookies. It must be the freshness of them or maybe a secret ingredient, cause still to this day I do not care for cookies unless it's at the bakery and I always have to eat it right away or I won't eat it. Funny thing hey!!

Stopped in for a snack and a coffee on our way camping. Drove by a few times in the past and never stopped in. I was pleasantly surprised at the selection of goodies from breads, cookies, cinnamon buns and loafs! We had peanut butter cookies and cinnamon buns, delicious!

Lunch was good. Very little selection but what was offered was fresh and tasty. Unfortunately the baked goods were of poor quality. Two types of cookies and a pie were all disappointing (filling was tasteless). Bread was mediocre. Servers were not masked. Likely will not be back for lunch or baked goods.
