The bread here is best of the best. It has a nice crust without being too tough and the middle is soft with the perfect amount of chew. I got the cheese loaf and literally ate it all, by myself, in under 2 days. Some may say that’s a lot of bread in that amount of time but I challenge you to visit Dear Grain. If you manage to ration it any longer, I invite you to question all your life choices up til this point hahaha ENJOY !!!

There is a variety of sourdoughs inside, some treats and sandwiches, and other fun stuff like oils, dips, plates, bowls, etc. The sourdough is some of the best I’ve had in Toronto and will definitely be one of my go-to places for bread near the Dundas and Ossington area.

Definitely the best place to get bread in Toronto's West End! The staff is super helpful and knowledgable as well. Highly recommend visiting this place even if you're not looking to pick up any bread. Their pastries and coffee are very yummy.

The bread is delicious, the pantry section is very extensive and all the sandwiches and treats look so tasty. My only feedback would be to implement some kind of capacity or better organization for customers as it was way too busy and unorganized when I went in.

Beautiful store with great sourdough bakery and delicious coffee. Super friendly staff (which is rare to find in times of covid). It is such a great addition to the Ossington strip.

Amazing bread!!! Not sure the sandwich I got was worth the 20$ though…

Visited Dear Grain for the first time and I think I'm in love! It's a perfect neighbourhood bakery & café. We got an Americano and a Cappuccino, both creamy. The Savoury Brioche makes for a delicious breakfast - the egg was nice and yolky and paired nicely with ham and mustard. The Classic Country Loaf is one of the best sourdoughs I've had in a while. It had a nice crunchy crust and the inside was perfctly moist. The staff were all warm, friendly and efficient. I've already got my eye on a few yummy treats for my next visit. This will definitely be a go-to bakery of mine from now on!

Having frequented the Detour location in Dundas Village, I was so excited to see Dear Grain opening on Ossington! Not only is their sourdough amazing, but they also serve amazing coffee and treats. Welcome to the neighborhood! Please bring over the sourdough donuts from the Dundas Village location ????

lovely concept store, Christina and her staff are so welcoming, the bread is super as it lasts 3 days, the crumb is more moist and wet than most. Highly recommended!

Like all great bakeries -- Dear Grain had exceptional bread, coffee, sandwiches and sweet treats but what really set them apart was the incredible staff (I was pleasantly surprised how great they were given they just opened), the awesome assortment of really unique shelf items (canned seafood that I'd never seen before, an assortment of vegan items, beautiful condiments and so much more). It was better than a luxury grocery store. Also I really enjoy that area of Ossington. Just off the crazy bar and restaurant strip, there was ample room in the front (only part of Ossington south of Dundas like this) to sit with our dog and friends at a cozy little table outside the bakery. It was the perfect balance of still being at Ossington and Queen but not having people step on you as they walk along the sidewalk. Loved the whole experience! Awesome new post-covid addition to the area.

Hands down the best bread in Toronto! Their multigrain porridge pan loaf is so special - a perfectly crunchy crust and a surprisingly moist center. They also sell all the fixings you need for a unique and delicious charcuterie board (spicy canned oysters, cheese, even the board itself!) This is a must visit

I live in Vancouver and ordered bread online for the first time. The results were successful, the delivery was very fast, and the bread was really fresh. This bakery is a true gem! Great variety of homemade fresh sourdough bread. Highly recommend this place????

Omg so good!! This Cocoa Sesame Loaf with Tahini is to die for! Also the complementary Tahini Honey Butter is a perfect match. Can't wait to try more amazing things from this beautiful shop.

So excited for dear grain to open in toronto! Have been ordering their bread online for months. The bread is so fresh and flavourful! It’s hard to choose just one loaf! They also have sourdough pastries, babka and amazing coffee. Love the playful pink coffee machine.

So happy to have a place in the neighborhood to get a coffee, incredible bread, a sandwich or a pastry (the sour dough cookie is insane), AND get cute things for entertaining or quickly picking up the perfect hostess gifts for when we go to friends' places - The vibe is just overall great and everything they sell is really unique and cute - love it.

Beautiful little bakery! This place is well thought out and has a big selection of house made bread. All their bread is by default vegan, which I love because a lot of brands add milk powder for no reason. Their bread is so delicious and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I will be returning regularly!
