This has been our neighbourhood bakery for over a decade. I’ve worked at other italian bakeries in the city so I can speak to the issues. 1) Accessibility - not wheelchair accessible, no accessible customer washrooms. Not sure how this can still be allowed in 2021 and considering the demographics of the neighbourhood, there are many older people who frequent. 2) Quality - items are kept on the shelf/fridge too long. Many many times old buns/french sticks are kept on the racked mixed with fresh bread. We’ve brought home stale bread on multiple occasions. (Not nice). 3) No prices on anything. I mean nothing in the cases, hot table, or fridges. No receipt is ever given. Makes you wonder if there has been mistakes...especially on the deli! Lack of transparency on pricing. Then you get attitude for asking... 4) Customer service, I have never seen anyone under 60 working behind the counter. So you wait, and wait and wait. I’m sure they’re doing their best. Nonetheless poor staffing. There’s an older lady with glasses and crooked lips who is EXTREMELY rude and abrasive. Other family members of mine have also noticed. 5) The items in their freezers are full of freezer burn and look like they have been thawed and refrozen. 6) Here is what’s good Bread (when you don’t get old ones) Hot table food (pizza is very doughy, like focaccia) Donuts Deli Avoid: Cakes and cookies Or just go to “R bakery”

Classic Italian bakery with your sweets your hot table and your freshly baked bread I don't think they bake on site anymore but I could be wrong just stop by for a zeppole and an espresso which was pretty good

I think they stayed in business this long only because they are the only bakery in the area. The attendant who was closing shop was rude and abrasive. When I asked for some delis I asked the price for a 100grams of ham and her response was "I don't know, I have to weigh it." EXCUSE ME!! Not very professional and also rushed me out with comments like "come on hurry up". I will never go back!!!

Almost all the ladies who look after the place are friendly, except one (who has short black hair) who is always in a bad mood and treats clients with rudeness, if you see her, avoid it!. She needs to retire.

Most of the time the food is fresh, bread, pizza etc. but I always ask if the pastries, or cake or cookies if they are fresh, they always answer the same way, everything is fresh, not!

*This review is only based on their vegetarian pizza* I bought two slices and I asked before purchasing it if the pizzas were fresh and the staff answered yes. I just ate it and I couldn’t even swallow it. Regardless of the slight stomachache (bcuz i ate few only) the vegetables looked not fresh and smells stinky when eating it. They are big slices each for 3 which is good but it is almost rotten. I hope that’s only a mistake and not their real taste

I passed by it on my way to get my tires changed and stopped by on the way back. It's cozy, friendly, and everything you would expect from an Italian family owned business. The food is delicious. Try their veal on a bun. You wont be disappointed.

This place was awesome almost a blast from the past a vintage-style grocery store you should go there perfectly organized bountifully stocked multiple options Italian Goods and bakery with a delicious Hot Table Mini Gourmet offerings custom-made sandwiches and the most awesome selection of homemade desserts I felt like I wanted to eat everything when I was in there I grabbed the sandwich it was great one for my girl 2 she liked it lots the baked goods were to die for too bad I live so far whenever I am close I will come back

Small Italian bakery. Quiet and cozy environment. Not too busy bakery. Very clean and organized. Foods looks delicious especially hot table. For customer service, staffs seem quiet without saying greetings such as "Good morning", "How can I order for you?". No accessible entrance door or ramp.

Everyone is helpful and the food is delicious, they make a batter veal sandwich than California sandwiches because their tomato sauce is cooked and seasoned perfectly, as they say in italian "saporito" not to mention allot of other fine items throughout the bakery.????good job ladies

I'm in this place at least twice a week since I live in the neighborhood. It doesn't matter which day I go in the staff are rude. Older ladies that don't even make eye contact with you they just go about their business. I stand there waiting for one of them to notice me and if I get their attention I get yelled at for standing in the wrong spot. Completely disorganized and depends on who is working that day if you want bread sometimes you need to stand at the back and sometimes you need to stand at the cash. You have to take a guess and if you are wrong, you will hear them yell and reprimand you. Obvious their priority is serving customers at the hot table so if you are in there for any other reason be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait. Horrible service. They don't enforce the COVID protocols, masks below their noses, no social distancing, and nobody uses the hand sanitizer. Also, I agree with the other review that they don't have prices listed especially in the fridge items and they have many expired items on the shelf. If I could rate zero stars, I would.

Very bad experience, the lady was upset that I sat on her little patio chair outside to eat my lunch I had bought from a store a few doors down. I bought pastry from her and began to eat both there. she came out and start verbally abusing me . So I apologize for not asking her to sit there and left . To my surprise a second after she took the chair and table into her shop . I was huge and didnot have my car beside its covid unable to eat anything indoors . I am so disappointed at how people can behave over the little stuff in life .

I was in here the other day for lunch and I'm severely disappointed. You'd think that a small business would want to keep their customers happy, but not this place. I waited for a good 10 minutes before someone acknowledged me (there were 4 ladies behind the counter). While I was being served, the lady went to help someone else, delaying my wait time even more. When I finally got my lasagna, I found it to be really non-authentic. Pasta and some basic no name sauce with a couple chunks of beef. As for covid measures, the staff were wearing their masks below their noses, there's no limit on the amount of people allowed inside, the cooks don't even wear masks. I will definitely not return here, they lost a potential new customer.
