The service was really bad. There were two ladies in the store who were not treating very nicely. We asked one of them the price before we bought some pastry. When we actually wanted to pay, the other lady said a different higher price. I wouldn't ever go back.

The best Persian pastry out of the big three in Lonsdale. (Rex, Laleh, Golestan) After being repeatedly disappointed by Golestan and Laleh, a friend recommended Rex Bakery and we are so grateful that they did. Everything we tried, from the dry pastries to the cakes, were made perfectly and tasted exquisite. I would definitely recommend Rex over any of the other nearby bakeries. I had no issues with their customer service when I was there twice.

Clean yet down-to-earth Persian bakery. Their zoolbias are heavenly. My favorite. Their nokhodis are my second favorite. And then come their cakes and other sweets. All really good. I buy a box, go home, finish it in a day or two, and come back next week and I don’t even live close by. They have ice creams and bastani nooni too although I have never tried them. They used to have inside sitting and function as a little coffee shop before COVID-19. I hope that comes back.

My favorite of all times. A very dangerous place for me as I can literally stuff my face with their pastry until I explode. General aesthetic of the place could be slightly better but the goodies in the fridge is what I care about. highly recommended

Beware of food poisoning ! I bought a cake that appeared to be at least a week old when I opened the box . The taste was bitter . The owner refused to take it back .

We are very happy with Rex bakery for our wedding cake. It was very tasty, the price was reasonable and and it looked exactly like what we wanted. I strongly recommend it for any wedding, engagegement or birthday pary. Sooo tasty!

First time visiting the bakery today although I have passed a few times. The service was prompt and efficient. Not overly friendly but not rude. I filled a box full of cookies and pastries...about 30 pieces in the box plus 2 that didn’t fit in the box that I ate on my way home from the bakery! The total cost was $24 which I thought was quite well priced! I was having a kids sleep over party with some of the Mom’s staying for tea and treats. Everyone loved the cookies and pastries. They were fresh and flavourful.

No greeting no nothing and the first question you get is "what do you want".… Who says that to a customer?! The younger woman that works there gives you an attitude like she's doing YOU a favor by selling you... Really terrible attitude

The service is bad. Always check the receipt. Because they are frothy. My total bill was for $79. When I check the receipt, I found that they charged me $10 extra. I asked to refund the money, but answer was, it’s not refundable. Strongly not recommend.

(Translated) This was my second visit and the last one. I am really trying to support small and local business, but Rex Bakery customer service was poor, same as the first time. No greeting for arriving customers. This is the basic when you have a business like this. And I noticed the staff were not wearing a mask. They are not aware of the type / quality of their products. I bought two packs of Sohan (Sohane Khelali Khodkar). I inquired about the type and quality of Sohan Khellai and they have no idea. We found that the taste and texture is not even close to a real Sohan ????. Not recommended! I got 2 packs of self-tapping screws from this shop. First of all, not knowing what Sohan Khalali is at all, the question you ask says that another Sohan is either from these morsels or from those rounds. Later, when we bought it, we realized that they are of very poor quality. The staff is the same as last time, somewhat indifferent to the customer! Not recommended! من 2 بسته سوهان خودکارخلالی از این مغازه گرفتم. اول که اصلا نمبدونستن سوهان خلالی چی هست، سوال هم که می کنی میگه سوهان دیگه، یا از این لقمه ای هاست یا از اون گِرد ها. بعد هم که خریدیم فهمیدیم بسیار بی کیفیت هستن. پرسنل هم که مشابه دفعه قبل یه جورهایی بی تفاوت به مشتری! مرتبه دوم و آخر من بود که از این مغازه خرید می کنم.

Unassuming façade but really great treats. I've walked past this place for years and never thought to walk in. But it was a warm today and the ice cream sorbet on display beckoned. The mango gelato was bursting with fresh fruit flavor, so was the banana something. I noticed they also had knafeh. I'm not usually impressed because I was pampered with treats from a famous Syrian bakery before the war started. But these were light crunchy and not too sweet. They also had baklava with ground pistachios. These were light and wonderful. I also was surprised to find Turkish delight, Rahat Locum. It was the right texture, did not skimp on nuts and wasn't too sweet. It was funny, another elderly customer saw me taking pictures and was quite defensive, thinking I was spying on the operation. Once I allayed his fears, he explained the owner is in his 70s and has been baking since he was 13 years old.

I am a local Persian and was in the area so I stopped by this bakery to buy a few different sweets, bread and ice cream. I was not only completely disappointed by how old it was but also disgusted by the taste of absolutely every item I purchased. This is not a true Persian bakery and I am ashamed to have the public eat here thinking they are purchasing real Persian sweets. If you are looking for a great Persian experience please go down the street to Laleh Bakery on W 15th street instead.

When I arrived there,they said I have to wait for 45 mins and the cake was not even close to what I wanted!!! This bakery is so expensive and not worth it. they sell everything by pounds so thats why they add so much sugar syrup to make them weight more, but they make everything very very sweet i feel thats too much. they can make them less sweet and sell them by pieces i dont think is healthy to eat that much suger.

I never post comments on Google review but I had to share this. I just had the worst experience with Rex Bakery. The girl that works there is incredibly disrespectful and rude. She gives you attitude when you walk in as if you're not welcome. I just spent $60 there and that is the last time I'll ever spend my money there. The sad thing about this is that they don't even care. They don't care if you're not happy about their way of conducting business and most certainly don't care about how you felt about your experience. I will never return to that store again. As an Iranian/Canadian I sincerely recommend that you find your business elsewhere
