You can email to order ahead to avoid shortage esp with popular items, they will put it aside for you????. Places like this remind us to eat for joy. Let the organic and fresh flavors melt your cravings away, and southe your high standard taste:), It reminds me of fresh bread in Paris. Ever since I discovered Bad Dog Bread, I don't bother buying bread else where. I drive all the way to west Van from Vancouver for my figs bread, no complaints:). Best French toast I have ever had, made with brioche served with vanilla bean mascarpone. Chocolate chunk sea salt cookies and a latte. So good. We also bought a lot of bread for my birthday charcuterie. Baguettes were perfect.

Good bread; nice pate. Pretentious. Fruit flies on my plate. (Clean under surfaces with hardcore cleaners, staff.) Pasta was undercooked. They kindly took one pasta dish, not both, off the bill. Crowded. No bar or waiting area. We had to walk across the street and have a glass of cheap wine while we waited. Staff was kind but overtired and inexperienced. Wine glass was chipped. Server took away my half full glass and apologized, replacing it with an empty one. Would not return.

Bad Dog Bread is tucked into a cozy corner, right next to Orto Artisan Pasta. It has a small storefront, so only 1 person allowed at a time. There's ample street parking right around. Their croissants are the best and made with freshly-milled organic flour. I've had their cinnamon scrolls, a blueberry galette and peach galette. In the galette, there is also a smooth pastry cream that balances the tartness of the fruits. It's one of my favourite treats. I always grab a loaf of their sourdough bread so I can make my own toasts at home, and of course, a couple more galettes to go!

The best bread in Vancouver. We came from Italy and could not find any good bread which would taste like home. When we found Bad Dog Bread bakery it was such a pleasant surprise and relief. Email ahead to have them hold what you want-the bread/baked goods go fast! Had the Sourdough, the Sesame, and the Porridge loaves. The Sesame has a nice nutty flavour and the Porridge is soft inside. Excellent with just butter or olive oil. Good flavour in all. Free (untimed) parking on Churchill Crescent so grab some bread and enjoy it on one of the trails/hiking around Bad Dog. Daniel

Wife and I did a trip out from the Valley to buy some fresh bread and explore the North Shore. We were a bit early and decided to shop in strip mall the before going into the bakery. Did not even make it away from the car before we were abruptly told we could not park there. When we asked were we could park at the shops, no real answer was provided other than another stores spots. Left a sour taste after such an unnecessary response.

Absolutely delicious Bread, I make a biweekly trip to Bad Dog to stock up, the country loaf and the baguettes are beautiful. Today the baguette didn't make it home as my husband and son couldn't wait and decided to feast on it in the car. Secret garden - Little oasis in a concrete jungle. Sandwich special was tasty ???? and the bread is amazing. Has a small menu which makes everything real fresh. Give it a try on a sunny day and enjoy.

I just finished breakfast which included two pieces of the whole wheat coriander and raisin. I have had Bad Dog bread a few times now and find it makes eating any other bread difficult as it tastes so good and fresh! The loaves themselves are beautiful and are obviously made with much love and care! If this is the only bread I ever eat again I would be totally ok with that!

Their bread is awesome. I love the sourdough everything approach. So healthy and filling. I normally buy from my local grocer, Nourish but was passing by and dropped in to their storefront. Very friendly and helpful staff. Keep on baking great bread; I think bread will become the new superfood.

Absolutely delicious! Probably the best bread I’ve had in a long long time! Gail is very friendly and I am sure is one of the reason why there are so many return customers. Their baguettes are ready around 9:30am but you may need to contact them ahead of time to make sure there’s enough! Personally I love and enjoy their croissants; they are very flakey and made fresh! Chocolate one is great as well. If I could rate it 6/5 stars I would!! :)

This is a great little bread shop in the neighbourhood. I have been here a few times. I tried their croissants, apple turnovers, baguette, and brioche loaf. All of them were great especially they were freshly baked. A lot of people buy the bread here. Due to covid-19, there is always a lineup outside the shop. This bread shop supplies bread to different restaurants in the neighbourhood and others. I visited a couple of these restaurants and ate their bread. The quality was very good. I kept eating and eating and wanted more and more. Finally I got to the point that I had to buy the bread from Bad Dog Bread. Save myself some money by buying the bread here and make any sandwiches or types of food I want with the bread.

I'm not sure which loaf of bread we were given, as several were kindly donated to the Multi Grouse Grinders last night. I think the loaf was the Whole Wheat, Raisin and Coriander. It's a lot of bread! The loaf itself is very filling. What I really like is the obvious level of care that has gone into making it. I think these guys put a lot of effort into their baking, drawing upon the old traditional ways of making bread. Eating it, I felt, put me in touch with how bread was baked many years ago in Europe. Perhaps I'm mistaken, but that's how I felt anyway. It tasted great. It's certainly a new flavour and I'm looking forward to many more! Great to see people taking bold new chances!

I seldom right one star reviews. Yet I feel compelled in doing so due to the service I recieved . That being said, I work with hundreds of restaurants/cafes due to the nature of my business. Customer service / attitude is key when it comes to developing a following and customers coming back for more. I just wanted to try something since this was my first time there. Upon entry I tried being friendly / sparking a conversation. The woman at the front immediately told me they were sold out of bread (this was around 1pm). I didn’t know what I wanted (since I wanted sourdough) and immediately she said this is all we have left in a very dismissive you need to hurry up attitude. I was immediately taken aback by her demeanour/ and lack of caring. No recommendations. Just get up and leave. After purchasing a chocolate croissant she gave me a piece of something (sample). I asked her what it was and rather than taking a few seconds to explain she just pointed at a sign and said “the description is there.” If you wanted to do everything wrong when it came to a first experience here you go. I’m writing this in hopes that someone who reads this will take this to heart. First impressions are everything and this was probably the worst service I have had in a very long time.

Noticed their sign from the road a few days ago, when we wanted a baguette for dinner tonight, we decided to pop by. Not only is this one of the best baguettes I've ever tasted, I'm happy to say we were the first customers to try it! Fresh out of the oven, baked with love, not to mention the place is so gorgeous. Wow! North Vancouver-Marine Drive area finally has an amazing local baker. We went by this morning to check it out, and bought a loaf of country bread (850g) and a chocolate chip cookie. Within the first bite we both said "this is the best bread/cookie we've ever tasted." You can tell the goods are baked with love, care, and attention. This will definitely be our new bakery. My friend ordered toast with cream cheese; I ordered toast with butter and honey. It took us a very long time to wait in line, and the workers there seemed like they were struggling (looked short staffed). The bread was very good, but there was way too much honey on my toast, so I had to take some off. Our americanos came in dusty glass mugs. (I guess they don't sell too much coffee) I would definitely give credit for the quality and taste of the bread, but would not recommend if you are looking for somewhere that has experienced servers (especially if you are in a time crunch!).

This is not your typical bakery. The owner specializes in handcrafted, natural yeast bread with very interesting flavour combinations. It recently opened and I managed to score two loaves - a fougasse and a toasted sesame (and I mean score because they had basically sold out of bread when I got there). They are lovely, chewy and have a good contrast of a soft interior and nice crunchy edge. Even a day later, when most bread has lost that "just-out-of-the-oven" goodness, these ones still manage to fill my kitchen with such an enticing aroma! I'm definitely coming back for more.
