REVIEWS OF Twiggs Coffee Roasters IN North Bay

The food is nothing to write home about, the desserts are good but usually a bit stale (as I go in the afternoon) it all comes to a head when the topic of price comes up, my overall rating would be overpriced and a little bit pretentious.

Such friendly staff. Came to visit relatives from Toronto, Great Food and Coffee. Good Prices. Wish you had a place in Toronto!

marcus etienne

Always a pleasure to be aerial d by the amazing staff.

Chantal Cain

I ordered the Cobb salad and the pomegranate Italian soda. *I added corn

Gary Galan

I had the best pizza of my life at Twiggs. Since then I have visited this place numerous times and my opinion about this pizza has still not changed. Such a great experience eating at this restaurant. The service was top notch and the pizza was to die for. Try the Hawaiian Pizza.

J Skramo

Local coffee roaster that has expanded over the years. 2 locations in North bay. The pizzas are thin crust and very delicious. Good healthy menu options. Always a joy to visit and eat here. Go visit the twiggs in Sturgeon falls overlooking the marina.....awesome spot!

Del Chemery

Was very nice being inside of tiwggs because it's been over 2 years since I have been here . I am going back tonight .

Judy Lew

The coffee was great, the butter tart not so great. I thought it was homemade, but I was disappointed. I don't believe it was homemade.

Mishael Philip

Good place to have some coffee by yourself or your friends.

Chaitanya Wagh

Such a lovely place to go while you are in North Bay. Amazing place to hangout and have a freshly brewed coffee and breakfast options with friends and family. The staff is lovely, energetic and efficient???? Kudos to the team.

Tiffany S

Great service and tasty food!

Susie Heiman

my favorite coffee shop in North Bay..staff is friendly and I only brought 4 lbs of coffee home from my trip. Great favorite of snacks, coffee, cold drinks food and I like the gf option as well

Anne Grindl

An oasis on a very quiet Sunday morning, just what we needed on our way through town.

Loved this Coffee place in Downtown North Bay . Great selection of coffee and was nice they had whole beans for sale. Prices were ok and the atmosphere was very friendly. The staff was helpful and very pleasant. My only complaint is the parking is tight and the lot should be marked better go cars ..this would give more parking as many just random park taking up valuable space. Besides this was nice to discover this place and I highly recommend it..

For the new location - super slow, unprofessional service. looks dirty over the counter. took 15 minutes to get a bagel with peanut butter and jam. also going through the drive thru, their menu has different prices of what you're charged when paying. one item in particular seems to have jumped a dollar in price and the change wasn't made on the drive thru menu and they wouldn't honor it, due to their own mistake. because of this experience, i will not go back and I will tell my friends about my experience too. starbucks is opening up close by so they need to set up their game if they want to remain competitive in any way. it's unacceptable to have such slow sloppy service and rip off pricing.

My partner lives down the street and we used to go a few times a week. We love Twiggs. Unfortunately this location has lost our business. We have both experienced our orders that are wrong more than they get it right while both of us have been sick at separate times from the smoked salmon, which used to be our favourite. Today will be our final time going to the Fraser location. They had got my food order wrong and iced latte order wrong twice as we were headed to Sudbury. Luckily enough the kindest lady Kim, a manager at the sturgeon falls location made a very kind and generous exception to redo my drink order. Twiggs on Fraser is not a good representation of Twiggs and for now has totally and completely lost its spark in us. I do not recommend.

I come here almost everyday before heading to work, and given that Starbucks and Tim hortons are across the street from where I live it's safe to say I definitely go out of my way for my morning twiggs run lol. The staff always treats me very nicely and nothing beats their coffee. Oh..and the shakes. Damn those shakes are goooood

Paula Kro

Amazing coffee, good seating options, lots of outlets indoors and wifi. Yummy scones and bfast/snack options.

wayne wiseman

Very nice people, great service love northbay

Alex Mow

The customer service is not as friendly as Opera House Bakery and Cafe in my opinion. Not a multicultural environment. However, the coffee tasted decent but not as smooth as Starbucks.

Tealia Carriere

Always amazing customer service. The patio is great for a wonderful chat with a friend and indoors is great for studying. I appreciate that they serve alcohol and have wonderful desserts. My only complaint would be that they run out of soup too fast. They even offer Milk-Bones for the puppy through the drive-thru. They pay their stuff fairly so all the stuff work above and beyond for you.

Traveling The World

If i was to do a review of the espresso I had, it would be a 4 stars. But the pistachio cheesecake I had was horrible, it tasted like cardboard. Looked good, but tasted awful. The service was excellent.

Ian McKenzie

Nice cafe/restaurant with reasonably good food and coffee.

Andrew Gagnon

Fast and friendly service as well a wide variety of coffee, tea and food to choose from. I would choose this franchise over tim hortons or Starbucks because of the selection and fresh quality of ingredients. Whether you are looking to get a quick cup of your favourite hot beverage or looking to sit down with friends or study this is the perfect environment. They have patio seating available in the late spring/early summer.

Brian W

Consistently good experiences at this location. They mean business when it comes to coffee & offer a blend/roast for everyone. Their espresso-based drinks and teas are solid. Baked goods never fail to impress and their scones are my personal favourite. 8/10 for service since some servers seem to have bad days often. 9.5/10 for prices.

Brad Goldthorpe

This place is welcoming to those looking to read, write, study, or simply meet up with others to converse. They offer a wide selection of primarily fresh food and drinks, they also have a liquor license for beer and wine. Staff are friendly and the multiple locations are convenient. One particular critique I would add is the need for a more conscious attempt at recycling. An overall nice place to go!

I will be sharing a picture of the terrible blt my husband brought me from this location. No butter on my toast, barely any mayo, they couldn't even be bothered to pull the bacon apart. The first few blts I had from here were great, now it seems service is worse and the food is terrible. Driest, worst blt I've ever had, my 9 year old males better breakfast

Aly Zindel

Love love love the coffee and all the food is amazing here! Great service too! 10/10 recommend

Michael Mekhail (Move With Mike)

I bought in house roasted coffee while passing through town. It was delicious! I finished a bag in one week. I would recommend their coffee. I'm surprised I don't see Twiggs around more Ontario towns. Hope to pass by once again and get some more bags of coffee. The vibe seems nice and cozy. The staff were warm and helpful.

Mark Boller

Clean washroom classy atmosphere nice staff lots of selections in food and drinks. Service could be improved. Treated more like a number than a person.

peter janjanin

Awesome breakfast! Huge portions and quite tasty. The coffee is great, probably one of the best Espressos I've ever had and the Americano was equally as good. My girlfriend also enjoyed her BELT on a Bagel very much. We will definitely be coming here every time we're in North Bay

Priscilla Murphy

Drove through and had the London Fog. With a dash of vanilla this tea is delightful. Give it a try and thrill your taste buds.

Diffy

I enjoy their Breakfast, dark roast coffee, their Crab Salad, and the baked goods.

Shannon Auld

Great coffee, great food. What's not to love?

Tim Scanlon

There coffee is so smooth and their classic pizza is amazing. Thin crust with pepperoni, olives, onion, green peppers. Great service too. I always drop by here when in North Bay.

Mitchell McKinnon

What a gem! Really enjoyed stopping by this spacious cafe and trying out one of their dessert squares. Definitely recommend dropping by and next time I'll look forward to trying out the nachos.

Mike B

solid coffee nice place and great staff

Shawn Moreton

Great place for fresh roasted coffee. Locally owned business. Good food too, with a couple Vegan/Vegetarian options.

Mona Cummins

Great service, darn good dark roast too

Sophie Bee

4 star because it's local and the food and beverages are good. I didn't put 5 because they don't always get the order right. Waited in line for a long time at drive thru (which is fine because want to support local) but when I tasted my drink it was the opposite of what I wanted. It happens. Try to be more on point and make sure you understand what the customer is asking is for.

Samuel Dane Alexander

Best coffee in town! Asked for a flat white, though not on the menu (latte with less foam), turned out great! Always impressed with their service and atmosphere.

Shawn Wolfe

Better than Tim Hortons. Good prices. I'm glad I tried them out It's been my go to coffee break place the last month

David McPherson

With the selection of coffees, teas, pastries and lunch menu items, this is always a pleasant go to spot. The fact that they roast their coffee beans is such a big plus for them. Never a disappointment

Paula Pedro

Great breakfast, very delicious. Fast and friendly service.

Julie Boissonneault

I went to the new Twiggs location for lunch yesterday with my husband and my son. My husband and I ordered the crab salad on a toasted sesame seed bagel, our son ordered the smoked meat sandwich on a toasted sesame seed bagel, my husband also ordered an oreo cheesecake with a carrot/apple juice and I ordered a raspberry lemonade. We received the cheesecake right away and were told to grab a seat and they'd bring us the rest of our order. It took over 15-20 minutes to get our sandwiches so my husband ended up eating his cheesecake before our sandwiches arrived. Then we were able to all eat our sandwiches and still had not received our drinks. When I inquired twice about our drinks I was told they'll be ready in a few minutes. The second time I asked, the 3 young workers (1 guy and 2 girls) proceeded to talk about me in front of me and laugh at the situation. We received our drinks 15+ minutes after our sandwiches had been consumed. The service was terrible and the workers were very unprofessional. I love their food but am seriously considering never going there again. Julie B.

Had not had the chance to have one of their awesome bagels for 10 years, it did not disappoint. Easily my favorite part of North Bay. Excellent coffee and good service round it out. Wish we had one close to home

Jason Fox

If you are hungry... order the pizza. Salmon sandwich was delicious. I have tried any of the other food however the two meals I tried were great. Coffee is excellent. Staff is very friendly too.

Summer J. Bodnar

Excellent coffee! There is a great selection of gluten free pastries available which I find a rarity in most coffee shops. I enjoyed a small Greek salad abundant with toppings to go with a delicious gf chocolate chip cookie and coffee. ????????

Jess Belle

I went here yesterday morning before work and kindly let the lady know at the counter that the last time i had an cold brew i got a fruit fly in it. The lady at the counter gave big time attitude to me and looks at her co worker and says “do you want to come deal with this?” In a very rude manor and her co worker says “well it just means no one checked the cup fruit flys cant get in here”. I told them “ i wasnt expecting anything for free i was just letting you know” even though they should have given me it for free. Absolutely terrible customer service i will just back to going to tim hortons.

Honey Wahi

Couldn't get enough of the London fog with hemp milk and great service!

Steveno001

Coffee was very good (and fresh!), very clean operation. Great atmosphere, wait staff were friendly and pleasant. If I didn't live 400 km away I'd be a regular!

Susanne F

Great hot & cold beverages. Take out best option as acoustics are horrible making it difficult to have conversations. And your clothing smells of burnt toast &/or coffee beans long after you leave.

Amanda Middlebrook

Last time I went they didnt have pickles. Understandable, even though its one of the main reasons i get sandwhiches from here. They didnt tell me until after i had already paid though. Went again today and the lettuce on the sandwich was so disgusting, i dont know how they could put it on a sandwich! Probably wont go to the fraser location again, the other one is so much better.

Drake White

Nice, clean, beautiful coffee shop. Better then the big chains and locally owned and started in North Bay. The food and pizzas are always tasting delicious and if you have dietary concerns -- I have never had them not be as accomdating as possible (allergy folks, you are typically out of luck as with most places but they do try) I dont think I have ever seen a guy working behind the counter but the girls are always nice and warm welcoming :) Their menu is extensive and if they dont got what you want but you know how to make it -- they will definitely give it a try if they got the ingredients!

MONA B

I had never been to this chain before. Ordered a 2 egg Sunnyside breakfast with eggs and rye toast. Have to say the breakfast was a lot better then I anticipated. Cooked accordingly, bacon was pretty good too. A little greasy but cooked properly. Coffee wasn't bad either actually. I have to say though...the bagels they serve are very similar to Van Horn bagels in Montreal. Yum yum yum. Side topic: you need to try the bagels from Van Horn bagels if you never have.

Tai Arbour

Great atmosphere! I got the cappuchillo and it was very tasty! Uses real espresso shot instead of espresso syrup which I like because I like the caffeine. I also got the smoked salmon bagel and it was tasty but my bagel was a little stale. Overall good experience. Totalled approx. $20 for 2 drinks and 2 sandwiches for my boyfriend and I.

Daniel

Twiggs is top notch! Great coffee and food! Watch out Tim's and Starbucks, twiggs is about to take over!

Anne W

Good coffee and nice vibe but was shocked to see a very inapropriately dressed waitress in a short mini skirt on a few occasions here. Simply unprofessional. I would expect servers that work with food/drinks to follow some sort of dress code. Reflects poorly on this location’s hygiene protocoles as well. I was not happy to be flashed while eating my breakfast, neither was the rest of my family.

A Duncan

The bagel was delicious. There was a pleasant atmosphere, helpful staff with great service. Better than any Starbucks or St. Urbain and Indigenous owned is an added bonus.

Ajax McGraw

I've never gone to Twiggs and felt the service, food, or price point were ever worth it. Every time I've gone, the service has always been so slow. I'm literally writing this review as I wait in the drive-thru..lol. 22min...still waiting. Its just not worth the bother.
