One of my "Go To" places to get lunch. I go for there $5 meal special. My favourite is a Crispy Chicken sandwich with a choice of side. I have the option of vegetables, wedges, fries, mac and cheese or onion rings. I have to say that the mac and cheese is pretty good! Service is friendly and the food is always hot. There is a modest place for you to sit and eat your meal, and that is why I am giving it three stars.

They don't enforce mask wearing. Twice now I see a costumer walking around without a mask, touching everything and not one employee says anything. He even gets through with the cashier, no one says anything. Seems like management doesn't care about anyone's safety if this is allowed.

It's more expensive than most nearby stores, but the quality of the meats and produce is also quite a bit better. If all I need are basic canned goods I'll go to Walmart, but if I'm cooking for myself, I always choose Zehrs.

Big store, clean, lots of parking and lots of variety and amenities. Really handy having a pharmacy inside too. Cant give it 5 stars because employees are few and far between. If you really needed help with something it’s hard to find someone for help.

This is amazing shop! You can get so many organic food! I found there fresh (not frozen) rabbit! Antibiotics free and hormone free meat! Lactose free milk and cream. Gluten free bread! There is also a good kitchen stuff, etc, etc. For me it's a shop #1. I can get there all I need.

The worst customer service ever at the pharmacy. 4 or 5 people are there, all looking busy while the customers line up. Finally after 10 min or so, one staff person asked me if I needed any help... no I just stand here because that’s what I do. That was my third attempt to purchase meds at this pharmacy.

Good clean store. Often their sale prices aren't on the register which is super frustrating. Last time I went to the store, 2 of 3 sales prices didn't activate on the register. The cashier was less than helpful in ensuring the problem was resolved. Frustrating.

Went to the pharmacy today to get a flu shot.. BIG sign at the front of the desk that says flu shots available by walk in and appointment.. The desk is busy and I have to wait about 10 minutes...no biggee.. finally my turn and I am told oh sorry we arent doing flu shots today just Covid??!!? I pointed out the large sign at the front of the desk but it fell on deaf ears.. Seriously... if you have a frickin sign at the desk that says you do it...then do it!!! Reat assured I will not be back to this pharmacy again for anything..

Man I gotta say when I saw the sale on the yogurt I really enjoyed going to the store like before it was just a normal Zhers but when they brought that yogurt in it was a WHOLE NOTHER LEVEL I MEAN I GET MORE WITH THE SMALLER CUPS then I do with the BIG CONTAINER on top of it I have allergies and I can finally have flavored yogurt like banana strawberry and peach and ends up having actual peach chunks in it. So that's pretty cool. I sent like probably $30 on yogurt because of the sale. Like it happened twice so that's pretty cool. However the store is not perfect since they took away the presidents choice frozen dumplings so I can no longer have dumplings with my college experience. Yeah also there was this one guy I called "GateKeeper" probably the coolest staff member there I asked for his phone number when I was starting out in college and it's almost the end of the first year and I still haven't contacted him and I'm wondering if it's like to late to say hi or not. I feel kinda bad and I don't have yogurt to help my troubled nerves aaaaaaah sheeeeit I also don't have ice cream I goto to go get ice cream now...and it dark nice, nice

New to the area. Liked the overall selection at the store and seemed pretty clean BUT disappointed to see one cashier wearing NO MASK, talking & yawning away. (thank goodness for the plexi.....?) Do employees not have to obey the rules and bi-laws? Also bought some chicken which when I opened the next day to cook it smelled really bad and rotten. I see I am not the only one to mention bad meat.

In their Deli / Ready to go Meals they have Fried Chicken. I swear their chicken is heaps better than anywhere else in town. For $25 we purchased 2 Large sides of our choice ( This time we chose wedges and onion rings--- in the past we have had scalloped potatoes and macaroni w/cheese as well) I cannot honestly say I know the other options but the ones we have chosen have been a huge hit. With 2 adult men, one teenaged hockey player after a game when his hunger is at a peak and myself there were still leftovers for the evening munchies or lunch the next day. I am not a big fan of fried chicken but THIS is the juiciest full flavoured breast I have ever had the joy to pop in my mouth. BEST CHICKEN EVER!!

We haven't been here in years since moving to BC. I forgot how much I loved Zehrs. My GF is gluten free and their selection of products was incredible. When we went in the afternoon we were surprised to see such a large line up. Understand the covid precautions in place but it was slow entry.

They often have numerous check out lanes open, and they have a good COVID queuing system that seemingly makes checkout seem faster. Been there for Birthday Cake, called 3 times before to get info about writing greetings on the cake, could get through due to no responses from bakery department. As I was there, one of the staff from bakery department said no body there to help me to get greetings on cake and the person was not trained, it was frustrating as I had to manage something else on the top of the cake instead any writings.

For a quick quality snack while your on the run that is satisfying for me it's the Zehrs hot case right inside beside the entrance. You can pick up two nice piece's of chicken with a side like potato wedges or onion rings for six dollars plus tax. They have chicken fingers, pieces of chicken, macaroni & potato salads plus quite a bit more hot case items. Kind of like a buffet, chose the type chicken piece you like dark or white. The only problem I find is you have to cash out with the grocery people, I wish they would always have the till open & available at the hot case. RETRACTION: Today is April 16th 2021 & I needed something nutritious to eat so I once again stopped in for a hot case item. I just wanted to add that Zehr's has a self checkout for the hot deli now debt only but quicker than going back to the main cash out. The chicken was really good today, 2 pieces of chicken & onion rings $6. Satisfying.

Overpriced groceries. Many items are close to the best before date. We purchased Boost Pudding only to notice at home that it was a year past the expiry date. The Bakery has yummy stuff but usually the best before date is only a day or two away.

Zehrs used to be one of the few places to get certain things you’d otherwise have to drive out of the city for, but they’re slowly getting rid of these great brands and products to replace them with their own President’s Choice brand, which are usually inferior in comparison. We are no longer shopping here because of this.

This store was truly horrible , I purchase 2 packages of salmon and another whole fish just to open up the next day and find out the all 3 wore bad , smeel was so bad so I called the store and made my way there they reimburse my purchase and my fare for travel as I don't drive . So I give 3 starts just because they honored the purchase and expenses but if for quality I give them 1 specially because I didn't see any one taking away from the freezer any of the other product that was left from the bad fish . I gave 2 stars because the store looks pretty good and it's always clean. But wow the prices are extremely high. I just don't get why they have to be at least 20 percent more than other grocery stores in the area and Walmart. I used to go to Zehrs often, but the prices are just insanely high. It's just pure greed. I'd rather give my money to better companies. If they didn't have their PC Plus points system that tempts people to shop, I don't know how they would ever survive the market.

I've always had a pleasant shopping experience here finding good quality food and good sales, but today when my two week old started crying an employee politely offered a private space to feed her! Had three deliveries via Instacart, because we're stuck quarantining, and all three have contained rotting and wilting vegetables. The quality has been entirely unreliable. The bananas were fresh and green, half of the avocados were barely ripened and the other half were bad, the mandarins were all browned and rotting, the kale was yellowing, and the arugula was wilted (though edible). Most of the other food was fine. Bread was good, bagels were good. Just the produce that was spotty. Receiving such low-quality produce makes the experience of being in quarantine even more disheartening. I would not recommend for anyone forced to travel like us to use Zehrs via Instacart or maybe just avoid the area. Edit: added photo of the best mandarin we received yesterday. Threw out 7 of 10.

I have been using PC Express since March 2020 and I have nothing but praise for the service and safety measures. I normally wait less than five minutes for a pick up. If something isn't available I have received a phone call with a substition choice several times. For someone with food allergies this is important. Don't forget to read the last paragraph 2. Well, they've lost a star with me. Remember I told you I loved going there for that delicious full bodied sour dough brea. Sadly it has shrunken into regular sized, airy, tasteless fluff. I was upset the first time it happened but the bread kept coming home the same. No texture, barely any flavor, full of air fluffy. If I wanted that, I'd go buy a cheaper loaf of reg. white bread. Also, I have been disappointed in their baby celery. You take it out of the pkg. and it's all slimy at the other end and the stalks are dry and grainy through out. Just be careful when you buy veggies and fruit that is packaged. You will get some surprises. BUT....There is a lot of variety to choose from in every department. The drug store and optical office, the wine shop and the floral shop make it a multi-taskers dream.

I had a horrible experience dealing with Kathy the supervisor. long story short i found a plant that had a sale sticker on it for 50% off with excitement i quickly ran it inside to claim the item. I called Kathy over to help me out and she promptly did so by asking me to wait at the till while she got the original price tag, after standing there for 5 minutes waiting she came back telling me this bogus story about how people have been putting stickers on the plants and getting them at a lower cost insinuating that i had put the tag on the plant... I told her that she has to give me the plant at the sale price as per section 74.05 of The Competition Act . she looked at me and ripped the sticker off saying "no i don't" she then grabbed the plant and proceeded to carry it back outside. i asked for her name and assured her i would be writing a review, she then shouted across the parking lot that she did her job. I hundreds of dollars every week at this location and now i'm starting to think that i shouldn't continue this trend.

There's no question that the prices at all of the Weston stores, including Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaws and Zehrs. Therefore, the customer service should be stellar. Unfortunately, it's not. I wanted to buy some fish from their fresh fish department in Niagara Falls Zehrs. I'm very picky about the freshness of my fish. So I ask questions. Is there something wrong with that? There was a woman working at the fresh counter and I asked her about the freshness of salmon filets. She became immediately irritated and waved her hand in the air saying "yeah, yeah, the fish is all fresh." I thought she was damn rude and I told her so. I went to customer service, waited for a manager to appear and then complained. He told me he would take care of it and apologized. So I was satisfied with that. A couple of weeks later I saw that same woman at the fresh fish counter. Needless to say I never buy fresh fish from this store anymore.

Great store to shop in. Very large isles and lots of signage. They were installing more self serve machines the last time I was there and they do a great business so they really need more. Also, good news, they have bathrooms there and a pharmacy and you can buy cans or bottles of beer (several brands and types) and the prices are comparable to the beer stores as well and some even better then the beer store. The also have a wine store with very reasonable prices and a lotto desk. So enjoy.

Staff have allowed patrons to not wear masks, and to (also) walk not in the directions required (up or down aisles). I asked one unmasked woman if she had forgotten her mask and offered her a spare: she said no and kept walking the wrong way down an aisle. This was in view of staff. I hate to say anything bad about this store, but perhaps this post will help it understand it should take action, and support its workers to enforce its rules (they deserve support in this).

Pharmacy has good customer service. I give them 5 stars. The produce is sad, asking top dollar for decaying fruit and vegetables. I see this often when picking out the good from bad. Also had a 4L bag of milk that was sour as soon as I brought it home. The 4pack cheese bread was stale. The selection is great for oraganics and beauty products and ingredients you can’t find at no frills or food basics, Zehrs usually has them. Joe fresh clothing is cheap as in quality, it’s loses its shape fast after one wash and doesn’t look good after a few wears. Cashing out is fast as they always have Enough staff to cash you out. Bonus on the newly put in self serve check out.

Over all the store is clean, well stocked and quality produce but they didnt enter the sales correctly makes a frustrating trip. Also if your going to INSIST that you bag our groceries could you PLEASE teach your baggers how to correctly bag items... my produce was placed with cans and bruised and my bread with jars and were crushed. Very disappointed with the service.

Great location. Staff are friendly. Produce department is always helpful with food suggestions or to find something for you. Quality is higher than most grocery chains and you tend to pay around 5-15% more on products. Large variety of items compared to smaller chain stores.

I was treated very poorly by a cashier at Zehr's because of my service dog. She told me I should not have dogs in a grocery store. I explained that they are service dogs and she said it wasn't right and she'd never heard of a service dog. She told me she was allergic and then whispered "its disgusting". I spoke with Steve the manager on duty who apologized, but didn't take my number. Steve said the cashiers have training on service dogs. The lady in line behind me came up to me and said the way I was treated was horrible. I was polite and tried to educate without any success. Obviously I won't be returning to Zehrs.

Have been going to the Welland Zehrs since it opened. Have always been able to find what I'm looking for and then some. I find it clean and organized, little on the pricier side for some things but it's not a deterrent. I go in for the warm, positive feeling I get as soon as I walk through the door ???? It's nice going somewhere where the staff is very friendly, call you by name, ask how your family is and vice versa. Gotta say, I love collecting the points too!!

This particular location is amazing, the staff are always on point even late night. I just went to pick up a cake for my moms birthday because I was working late, however the bakery was closed and all was available were smaller cakes, I asked an associate if it was closed and they said yeah but she'll see if she can do something, a minute later the manager came and opened the door and the associate got me the cheesecake I wanted, couldn't be more blessed by the team at Zehrs. Since the renovation, some designer thought it would be a great idea to change the isles and make the support posts not in where the shelves are like before but rather in the middle of the isles making it difficult to maneuver, especially with a full cart. Then there are all the displays in the middle of the isles that one has to move to get at products. Going shopping to purchase sale items and half of them are out of stock. Living out of town its disheartening to happen every time in there. It used to be our regular shopping store, now its about 5th on our list, only because there are a couple products there we haven't been able to find at other stores yet. otherwise we would only continue to go for the pharmacy, which has been terrific. if I could rate that separately I would give that department a 5. I personally stopped shopping there alone, I need my husband with me to push the trolley, its just that difficult. Then there are the staff, not always overly friendly. There is one gentleman that has been there a long time, he helps pack and gets carts and does a lot of things. He is the man! I like him very much, he's awesome! best staff they have.

Not only can you buy all of your groceries here, but they have cute home decor items and an awesome clothing section (Joe Fresh)! There is always a fruit basket in the produce section for young kids to choose one item from as a snack (great for not only promoting healthy snack options to young kids but also for curbing hangry tantrums from little shoppers when us parents have forgotten to pack snacks). Has some of the best produce in town. It also has deli, fish, , bakery and meat departments. The middle of the of the store has a Joe Fresh section with a wide assortment of clothing for kids. The prices are a bit on the higher side but the bakery will give kids a cookie if you ask.

I love Zehrs generally, however I’ve never had great luck regarding meat at this location specifically. For the third time in 6 months I have had to return raw chicken. The most recent return (this past weekend) was the icing on the cake. The chicken thighs were green and smelled of rotting meat, with a best before date of June 29th. It actually made me sick just from handling it. I should have know better and not purchased it, all the chicken (under the chicken section in the meat department AND in the open cooler) were COVERED in sticky chicken juices. And when I returned the chicken the next day the customer service rep said that they knew there was a problem (turns out I wasn’t the only one that returned) but her manager was shocked to hear about it. Needless to say, Woodstock Zehrs is ok, has a good selection but is always busy, and crowded unless you go late at night, but I’ll stick to a different Zehrs where I work. At least that way I know I won’t get sick from just touching their fresh meat.

A few years ago, all of the staff at this Zehrs location were very friendly and welcoming and I gave them a five-star rating at that time. Today, however, I'm revising my star rating down to three stars because it seems the friendly staff has gone and all that's left are people that do not smile, and in fact, seem like they don't want to be there at all. Moreover, the prices here are through the roof expensive. If you are shopping before 10:00 pm, then I would recommend going to Food Basics up the street, where you're guaranteed to save between 20 - 40% on your entire grocery bill.

Bought 3 $100 gift cards and asked for triplicate receipts so as each recipient would get a receipt with their card and cashier wanted to know exactly why I wanted a receipt for each one and accused me of going to return them for the reason I wanted 3 receipts! This store is my favourite . Always fresh food. I love how they have food items for individual or for party size. Nice arrange of fruits and vegetables. Zehrs is a nice grocery store with fresh produce and items are usually easy to find. I just had issues today with staff... They left a bunch of clothing racks and step ladders in aisles blocking stuff I needed to get at with a stroller! And the lady monitoring the self checkout spent the whole time standing in front of my machine, staring at me while I was scanning my items. Very unsettling!! Did she think I was going to try to steal stuff?? As I am a tired new mom I ended up staring back at her until she looked else where =_=

Got turned away at the door because my two-year old son didn't have a mask. I'm not sure how they landed in this arbitrary age, but clearly there wasn't a parent in the room when that decision was made. The public school boards have collectively agreed that students should wear masks beginning in grade 1, which puts the kids at around six years old. I'm not opposed to children wearing masks, but it is impossible to expect any child under the age of four to keep a mask on. Until they smarten up, my family of five will be buying our groceries elsewhere.

Reviewing a grocery store seems a bit preposterous given the only real expectation is cleanliness, inventory and getting through the checkouts with limited hassle. I half expected that only those who had a negative experience would take the time to air their grievances. That is until I entered this location. Like other reviews of here, this location wins on cleanliness and inventory. What sets it apart though is their hot deli department. I have no idea why any of the fast food locations are in business, because this place offers your choice of a hot or cold meal for a much better price. The ladies behind the counter, specifically Judy, Sue, Marissa and Becky seem to treat their job as if they are feeding their own family. (If anyone is looking to be adopted by an experienced mother...you may want in inquire if they are excepting anymore children...age not restricted!) For me, I'd pass by the local fast food joints for a healthy chicken sandwich from this deli!

Loblaws prices aside, the managers have gone way too far with Covid-19 measures, you'll wait outside for the same amount of time you'll spend inside. Covid-19 is just a convenient excuse/scapegoat at this point, no other grocery stores have lines, and they're just as busy. Take your business just up the road to Food Basics or even Sobey's, they have paper bags instead of environment killing plastic, better prices, and you won't spend an entire afternoon there.

Great store! I grew up with a zehrs in my hometown and always enjoyed it but they ended up rebranding it as a Great Canadian Superstore and lost some of it's charm. After moving to this area I was very excited to see that not all the Zehrs were closed or transformed and this place has that charm I missed from the old store of my youth. The store is big! They have a great selection of everything, excellent service, and a wine rack if you're looking for something to go along with your dinner. The only thing they could improve is there Men's section in their Joe Fresh department. It's pretty pathetic. One more thing I found interesting is recently I went to use their blood pressure monitor near the pharmacy and was very impressed with the new system they have for evaluating your health. Not only does it do BP but its also a scale and a body fat calculator. After an accessment it can email the results and will store the information on your own personal account.

Floral department did the flowers for our wedding. Unfortunately when my mother went to pick up the flowers at 8am on day of wedding they were not ready as they wrote the day wrong (we got married on a Friday which is a little unusual). The folks working created the bouquets and boutonniere to the same standard they would have without the rush. They delivered to my mother's home before we were to leave for the ceremony at 10 am and gifted us a beautiful orchid. In addition they refused payment for the error and inconvenience. Above and beyond customer service to make things right and smooth for our big day. Will recommend over and over again. Thank you for making our day special.

Terrible service. I placed my order on the weekend for pick-up to be on Tuesday 7pm-8pm. The app said it was ready and I called the store and they said it was being picked. Over a period of 3 hours I waited to get my order. I called them a few times to see if they maybe couldn't find my car, as other vehicles had gotten orders that arrived after me. The employee working said "OH I'm sorry, I've talked to you a couple times. We're picked several ahead of you. We're now picking 9pm orders. We should be out shortly." This was at 805pm. We were 7pm, I'm writing this at 945pm and still no order to my vehicle. This is unacceptable. I understand it's the week of Christmas and a pandemic. But this is wrong. I wouldn't have come to wait in a parking lot in the winter for 3 hours. Absolutely unacceptable!

This location has a butcher, bakery, joe fresh clothing section, household items (microwaves etc), and a cell phone store. Their customer service is excellent. Lots of parking spaces. Bathrooms are clean. You can earn or redeem optimum points here.

I went into the Joe fresh section, picked up a dress. I looked around for an attendant so I could try it on, when I couldn't find one I decided I would just exchange it the next day if it didn't fit. So my three kids and I went about paying for our groceries. Took the dress back in brand new condition with tags and receipt, just to be told no exchange. I was very upset. I should have never gotten excited in the first place. I just had my third baby and now my clothes don't fit me anymore. It was a really hard day for me.

Very unfriendly staff monitoring the entrance and exit. No signs stating what is the entrance and exit & an employee walked by me saying “didn’t know this was the new exit” tried to explain no signs and will gladly exit through correct exit when another employee just walked up to me pointing in the direction I had to walk without saying a word. Very rude. Very unfriendly. Will not be going to this zehrs again, very disappointed

Nice flower and instore wine boutique. And of course, great Joe Fresh baby, children and adult clothing and accesories. Always a huge outdoor parking lot.

Honestly, this has been our favourite grocery store in Woodstock since moving here, however on multiple occasions we have noticed staff not wearing masks or even face shields. We understand it can be difficult to force all customers to wear masks at all times, but staff interacting with customers, especially when distancing is difficult, should be mandatory. This comment is more for the management as opposed to other customers, as we have found our customer service to be very good here, however we do not feel safe continuing to shop at this location until a more consistent protocol is followed. Hopefully this can be corrected as this would normally be a 4 or 5 star rating, but a customers feeling of safety needs to be paramount. I hope this helps in future!

Disappointed - only 2 checkouts open with 6 customers each with lots of groceries waiting to checkout in each lane. They have also removed the Express checkout lanes. They are obviously trying to force customers to use the self checkout. Seems like they have lost their customer focus!
