Given their locations the prices are really quite reasonable. The bakery always has fresh foods, produce is equally fresh but their deli section lacks a bit of variety. On the whole a good spot to grab your groceries

Have had lunch at Nans Kitchen a couple of times now, great food and service. Bought some treats after of course. I personally found the chocolate on the boston cream donuts and the graham squares way too sweet. The bread was excellent.

Powell’s went above and beyond for me. Our family wanted to buy lobster for New Year’s Eve but could not get there in time before the store closed. The Customer Services Manager waited in the parking lot after the store closed for us to come and pick up our lobster. True Newfoundland hospitality!

Powell's is a great place for homemade baked goods. They have a good assortment of breads and as I have diabetes I always pick up a loaf of their sugar free homemade bread. However, as with other privately owned businesses the regular groceries tend to be slightly more expensive than the major retailers.
