You may have noticed that it has an average rating is virtually the top, and it's founded on a very large number of opinions, so we can say that the valuation is quite accurate. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they are happy, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to put tatings when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Bakery belongs to the category of Grocery store.
Fantastic supermarket! I love the deli and bakery section (the cranberry artisan bread is amazing!) Well organized, clean. Staff are super nice. Great local store.
Coleman's is a small grocery store they dont have many locations but they have been around awhile the one on the corner of torbay road and NL Drive are very friendly
I commend Coleman’s for standing their ground and not allowing maskless individuals in their establishments... I will surely shop there more often knowing this.. oh, and Chris deserves a raise... ????
Really great produce and cheese and meat selection. Staff really friendly.
Really digging the store location. Not really digging prices. $6.50 for a handful of Brussell Sprouts. WOW. Right side of store as you walk in filled with the good stuff. Produce, bakery, food to go (or eat in). Very pricey outdoor style store branches off the right side. Small express style liquor store inside. Staff very fast and friendly. Store aisles aside from the previously mentioned right side is pretty blah.
This Coleman's is a model for all other supermarkets to follow. Classy, yet not pretentious. It is inviting and filled with products displayed in a way that makes you want to shop there due to their quality, not their level of manipulative marketing.
Totally awesome... So many choices for prepared meals... Who needs to cook every day??? LOL Love this grocery store..
Smaller grocery store, in terms of size it pales in comparison to nearby Sobeys & Dominion locations. In terms of selection and interior, however, it doesn’t at all. Selection is great, the store is well laid out and is extremely clean, as one would expect from a new store. Overall, it’s clean, staff are friendly, and it’s well laid out. Only negatives are: The prices are a bit steep, and the parking lot isn’t very good. Otherwise, great grocery store, and an excellent addition to the East End of the city.
A variety of local food establishments have food avalible here now, not just colemans own. Sequerea's, sugar mamas, Indian express to name a few!
I truly enjoy Coleman for how Management treat their staff. I also appreciate a locally-owned supermarket thriving here! I love the variety of local and international foods, and the bakery is amazing. I've heard a lot of wonderful customer service-related stories about Colemans over the years and it's no surprise.
The meat and seafood is great and priced well. The produce I find over priced. The bakery is great. They also have a premade/salad bar but haven't tried that yet. My kids love the mini shopping carts.
Awesome store. I love shopping here. Fresh bread and pastries daily. It quickly became my main grocery store.
First time ever had ordered grocery online. 3 items were missing despite $10 delivery fee, although didn't get charged for it. Called & asked to get atleast Chicken Tray 30 pcs delivered the next day. Customer Service folks were nice but delivery driver didn't even care to call despite instructions the previous day. On 2nd day of delivery, he called after I complained about it to Cx service. But he had a loud rude tone & ended the call abruptly & left before I reached the door. Finally these 30 pcs of Chicken seemed that quite a bit of Chunk was scraped off as mostly there were just bones in them smh
Very fresh food and amazing lighting. It makes a difference. I love the deli and the produce options. My favourite grocery store since I've moved a toN worker called Mark told me a lot about peppers. He was extremely friendly and informative.
Great selection, clean bright store
Very friendly staff, very clean and bright, great produce. My favorite grocery store in town. I love supporting local.
Beautiful store with delicious offerings. Makes me proud as a Newfoundlander to see the local options and variety they provide, even if the prices can be a bit higher. One experience though had the staff treating me a bit odd even though I had just asked where to find a product. Maybe my hair was messy or disheveled but it face the impression that I wasnt trusted.
Great selection fresh food
Really nice bakery with so many different kinds of bread to choose from. They also have a hot food counter, salad bar and a sandwich counter (sandwiches made while you wait). I had the roast chicken sandwich on whole wheat with sliced pears, tomatoes, spinach and red onion (you can add whatever toppings you like). They will also give you a carrot stick and a pickle spear for $7.99
Excellent grocery store, clean, easy to find what you need, produce worth buying, topped off by friendly service. One of our favorite places to buy groceries and believe it will become one of yours.
My favorite grocery store in the city. I find if you need something quick or if you're just shopping around Colemans is smaller snd better organized than the bigger stores, and they have the best fresh bread anywhere. The only downside to being a smaller store is they sometimes not have what you are looking for, but I still choose to shop here most times I need anything.
Coleman’s on Newfoundland Drive, Chris served me, afterwards he asked a few questions about my car. Went outside and he topped my gas, rotated my tires, changed my oil, and put my groceries away. You talk about service? That’s beyond! I don’t know where you found Chris, on Newfoundland Drive, but I must say, Coleman’s on Newfoundland Drive, is a wonderful store and I’m a customer for life!
I go there all the time and my children absolutely adore the place. The little shopping carts are their favourite part. I would like to see a bigger Newfoundland and Labrador section (similar to another grocery store that I have been to) but that is a minor issue. And the opportunity for my children to get a piece of fruit when they come into the grocery store has always been a highlight of their experience. Such a nicely laid out store and wonderful staff.
Coleman's really impressed me with how they handled the pandemic last year, and I started doing most of my grocery shopping there, for that reason. I'm glad to see they are continuing their commitment service and public responsibility. Thank you.
Coleman's has the best meats, produce and bakery in town. Locally owned, friendly staff and fair pricing.
Lovely place with access to an NLC. Store is clean, well lit and filled with friendly staff. Great place to get some more niche groceries. I’d recommend it if you live close
A bit expensive otherwise a great place. An excellent corner grocery with a terrific bakery and small liquor store. Staff are outstanding. I don't like shopping but I do enjoy Coleman's!
Colemans is a wonderful store with wonderful people. The food is high quality albeit a bit pricey. The person who checked me out was an absolute delight and made my day better by just being who they are. Love coming here
In and out quickly, everything on my shopping list, fast checkout and lots of Covid-19 precautions. Oh, the bread! Just amazing!
I love it, none of the workers were wearing masks
If you get the turkey pie get a roasted chicken too so you can put some meat in it ,or just go to fabulous foods instead
Lovely grocery store. Clean and organized
The best, but very limited diversity in produce. Seems like the only salad bar in town. Some really good rate items in grocery. DO NOT GET THE COOKED TAKEOUT! My family used this one night, each getting something different, and we all had food poisoning.
True local grocery store offering top quality products coming from local farmers. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Coleman's is known for supporting community in many actions.
Amazing customer service from all levels. Maddy, who made our sandwiches in the sandwich-to-go area was great and was kind and direct with my toddler daughter. She even offered a Frootie card which allows a child one free piece of fruit with each visit - ingenious! The child sized shopping carts are a great touch, too. Well done, Coleman’s!
Very well marked and easy to follow directions. The cash resisters and food buffets are well shielded. The staff I saw were actively distancing and appeared to know how to communicate with masks on without yelling. Excellent.
My favourite grocery store! The staff are truly committed to ensuring customers health and safety! The environment is clean, tidy and welcoming! Keep up the amazing job ????
Great selection- local and international. Best grocery store in st. John's.
Excellent store, we were caught in a storm, their deli has excellent meals options rather than take out. You can mix and match in a container and it's considered one meal. The staff is excellent and helpful ????
Smaller than sobeys and dominion, but worth supposrting a local business. Their baked goods are better than any other grocery store in the city.
The staff here is more than amazing. Down to earth people who love a good conversation, helps with suggestions (bakery for bread choices as well as deli for cheeses). The selection is great to for a local grocery. Their prices are at many times much better than the big guys (And they are not in the bread mafia either.)
What a treat it is to have this grocery store in my neighbourhood! While there are other grocery stores nearby I make it a point to choose this one for multiple reasons. First of all, the produce section has been fantastic when I have needed something. Great quality produce and variety. I tend to eat vegetarian so this is very important to me and will decide whether I'm a repeat customer or not. No worries about that here! I'm addition to the produce the frozen vegan options were plentiful and a nice surprise. While some of the prices are a little higher then the grocery chains in town, it is well deserved since it is a Newfoundland owned establishment. In addition to that, I have never met a friendlier and more helpful staff at any grocery store in the province, keep up the great work, you are well noticed! The flower shop had a great selection as well. Finally, having the liquor store in the building is a great and convenient bonus. I HIGHLY recommend Coleman's to anyone grocery shopping and I will be back many many MANY times.
Good job Chris! Support and protect your staff as you are required to do. My family will be shopping with you.
Love this store! Some of the prices are high but their fresh food is amazing, hard to beat!
Bravo to your store for enforcing a mask wearing policy. Keeping your employees and patrons safe is commendable! Keep up the great work Coleman's!
Excellent produce, deli, seafood, meat, salad bar and bakery. Unfortunately the rest of the store leaves ALOT to be desired. Hot prepared food desperately lacks flavour and attention. Buffet items must be stirred regularily. Super friendly and courteous staff.
As a Newfoundland based chain grocery store, we try to shop here for international specialty items on the regular, they carry some items not found elsewhere. The bakery is amazing, selection of fresh veg is probably the best in the city. It‘s nice to go to a grocery store here that feels like it cares about what it is putting out on display.
Price is slightly higher but you can get some exceptional fruits here.
10/10 would recommend. Beautiful and clean interior for mask wearers and an easy to use online order / curbsidr pickup option for those who cant wear a mask!
Good local food but on the pricey side.
I'd give no stars if that was an option. Disgusted with the birthday cake they provided for my daughter's birthday today! If u had to see the mess they called a cake with icing hanging off and cracks through the picture I'm floored. Someone at the party actually laughed and asked if I had dropped it!! First when I went there they had given me a plain cake with no picture when I had called and confirmed the pic had been received and have a confirmation email. They argued that I didn't ask for a pic. I have the email stating they received the pic and they weren't going to fix it. Second they had taken it back to fix it after I had driven away with it after being charged full price and got so upset I turned around and went back again with it. They gave me the cake in a crazy mess. I am so upset:( never again. And they still wouldn't give any sort of discount.
Shop they very often good bread ???? and good hot food they to they worker at the hot food is amazing her name ginger keep up the great work ????
Great place to get items for my Christmas charcuterie tray. Great selection of cheeses and produce especially.
Best deli salad bar in of any grocery store in St. John's. The carry Newfoundland foods you won't see in the mainline food stores as well. Very clean and modern looking store.
The manager Chris is extremely helpful and professional and the staff are friendly and will bend over backwards for you. Excellent produce and just a great selection of whatever you might need.
Thank you for having the fortitude to reject people who are trying to not wear masks in your store. It shows to me the concern you have for the safety of all of your shoppers. I would go so far as to ban these people from your stores indefinitely. Keep up the good work!
Lovely store with everything even liquor store plants fresh sushi .parking a little tight for size of store
I love Colemans! They're both professional and courteous even in the face of some very negative people. Thanks for your service and my fresh hot lunches! Go to Colemans. You won't be disappointed!
First time visiting this store. Very clean store and staff are friendly! Bakery has a great selection of baked goods! Will be back to Colemans when we are in St. John's.
By far the best grocery store in NL for produce. Colemans in Mt. Pearl is the best spot for meat. Staff are always friendly and you can even find some working in the aisles, unlike other grocery stores. While the selection isn't as wide as the other stores they make up for in quality of product and service.
I usually go to Dominion but my store being on strike, I have to buy groceries somewhere. I find that most items are over priced, that usually happens when the competition is gone. I won't be shopping there again, too pricey for me.
I've never been inside the store but just going by the patience Chris showed with that awful customer deserves a 5 star review! Chris deserves a raise and a good bottle of scotch!
Proud of Chris for standing up to the outrageous Kerry Churchill. She should be embarrassed and ashamed of herself. Coleman's is a great store, espicially of Kerry is no longer shopping there.
Such a toxic work environment. If customers actually caught a glimpse of what goes on in the kitchen , they'd be disgusted. The newest cook they hired used dirty dishes to store clean food for the first three weeks she worked . Turkeys and chickens are thawed in the dirty sink in warm water , gross . They also allow their employees to be assaulted by coworkers without consequences. Management will lie straight to your face and are constantly belittling customers behind their back .
Great store, has many things no other store has. Bread is really good with many interesting varieties (try the cranberry brie). Their beef is best in the city! Seafood is excellent, mostly local and very fresh.
It’s an upscale grocery store. I find the products a bit more pricey than the other grocery stores. This visit, there’s an artist playing guitar and singing. On the other side of Coleman’s there’s a sporting goods area. They sell brand name sporting goods. The regular price is very expensive but the items the sales items are good deals. I bought a couple of items, very happy.
The new Coleman's Grocery store on Torbay Road in St Johns is a beautiful, well laid out grocery store. The store is clean and bright, and the staff are friendly and helpful. My only complaint about this store is I find it a wee bit pricey. Not really overpriced, but more than what I usually pay for items. The produce department is bright and all items there are fresh and colorful. Their bakery products are delicious and they have a cute little snack area to sit your husband down with some food while you shop, or for those days when you don't have time to make a lunch and you just want to grab something quick. I totally recommend this store. Give it a shot. I think you'll find it would be worth the trip.
Tracy in Floral Department brought to countries together in order to mourn in the in the best of situations in the worst of situations and times for her to step up and have the courage to go beyond above and beyond is absolutely wonderful thing it’s a really good kind hearted and a few good story my name is Mary Belvin and Tracy love you forever
Over covid strict with regards to liquor store. Cashier's and store great. I recommend getting liquor elsewhere unless you like being treated like a child if you are 5.5 feet from your fellow shoppers.
Coleman's was a wonderful experience. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We asked for a couple of items and staff people were so helpful. Our little girl loves that she gets a piece of fruit. The gentleman in produce even went and washed her apple so she could enjoy it right away! We love shopping at Coleman's!
