Great Bread?? Cabbage or Pumpkin Sourdough Bread loaded with Vitamins??

Jp Harold

Pass me the butter. Wow breads that make your mouth water. A real must place to visit.

Shira

I have never visited. Live in Vancouver, but I love the mini multi grain loaf! Congratulations on an affordable excellent bread.

Kyle Bailey

First time to Olivier’s Breads Bakery but won’t be the last. Picked up a quick bite to eat and was whisked off to Paris after the first bite of the flakey, sweet pastry. Glad that they are open on weekends too so we can more leisurely sample more of what they offer. Highly recommended!

Christopher Ford

For some reason the quality of the food has gone down... it was super good a month or so ago and now it's just sub par.

Pauline Fontanaud

I'm French and their pastries taste like home ❤️

Michelle Y

The croissants are amazing! But the banana loaf was dry and crumbly and didn't have much banana flavour. If you like the banana bread from Starbucks, you won't like this type of banana loaf.

Alison Lee

Great choice... Quality is descent just bit pricey

Serenity Wolf

After a recent vacation in france, I’ve understandably become quite used to my pain au chocolat every morning. This bakery makes it perfectly. All of their pastries are incredible. I’ll definitely be returning often.

Chuck D

I often have lunch here whrn I'm working in the area. From the outside it looks like a big commercial bakery, and it is, but to my delight they have a cafe that is open to the public where they sell baked goods, coffee, and lunch. It has all bern excellent so far, and is rapidly becoming one of my favorite lunch spots. As if good quality breskfast, lunches, and baked goods, thry sell fresh bread and some of the less photogenic loaves for cheap instead of just throwing thtm out. Do yourself a favor, drop by for a coffee, danish, and smile!

Todd Hansen

The nicest family, super bread and even better pastries. Everything is really fresh!

The Gibson Family

Our favourite place to get bread. We love the new location, and enjoyed lattes and pastries for a weekend treat. Their bread is so good, I've stopped making homemade bread. Our favourite is the peasant bread, very hearty and delicious!

Sina Haghighi

The deserts at this place are all pre frozen and I was lied about the fact that they’re “hand made fresh every day”. Unfortunately they would like to play off a false image of their quality. They have great bread and croissants, but the other pastries are sub-par and I just don’t like being lied to about the quality of the pastries.

April Lee

Enjoyed a delicious ham croissant! The staffs are so sweet and friendly.

Gary M

Have to try, the name speaks for itself.

Marie-Claude Brisson

Great food, slower paste environment, not the cheapest but still worth it.

Guy Moss

Nice spot, great parties and breads, a bit noisy when you sit inside

Heather Voth

Amazing bakery. Picked up a couple of pastries and was not disappointed. So glad I don't work near by as this could become a dangerous go-to location. Very tasty pastries

Andrew Cockrell

Awesome little cafe and bakery located in the new development at Fraser Mills.

Adam

It is so odd that every time I'm driving I the area my car inexplicably pulls into the parking lot of Oliver's bakery... Very strange indeed. But it's the perfect opportunity to pick an amazing selection of the most temping variety. Breads and pastries of the highest quality!

Richard Allen

Great baked goods and clean eating fresh breads.

Moutie Wali

Love this place. Best French bakery in BC.

Amirali Sharifian

Love this place, their breads are amazing! You have to try their bakery as well!

Zaid Al-Saffar

The best ever, last time i been there with my family and everything we bought was so delicious....yameeeeee

Linda Cardinal

Nice people, good coffee and (french) food (yummy pizza). The french music is a refreshing touch. We enjoyed it all. Feels safe to eat in — the Covid protocol is smooth and effective.

Pat MacDonald

This place is very new and modern you can eat inside and they make sandwiches. My disappointment is I ordered a cake and got charged as a cheesecake. My advice is keep an eye on your receipt.

Nelly Tyurina

Cozy place, like the one from those good old days with the smell of flour and dough. I liked chiabatta, wanna go there again and try something else.

KeLseY HaMeR

Great french bakery/cafe with treats, coffees and breads.

Anthea P. Darychuk

Wonderful dips; great staff; happy it’s in my neighborhood!!

Rnold Smith

Wow! Delicious pastries. The chocolate almond croissant is a destination pastry.

Jose Quervo

I get all my Baguettes here. Traditional French Bakery. AWESOME DESERTS TOO!

Naomi S

Such an amazing bakery, I ordered the Normandy sandwich and it was amazing. I also picked up the mushroom truffle dip which I am now going to have to buy more. The staff is very friendly and helpful, store is very clean and organized. Very good protocols in place for COVID.

Casey Quesnelle

Love the treats here. A little pricey but you are paying for the time and quality and it is well worth it.

kartik sundararajan

Pretty good bakery, they have a lot of options and service is friendly. We got a few assorted pastries the eclair was the best eand most of the other things were okish.

Brigitte Raye

Great place with a French touch. Breads are so gooood. Delicious!

K. Soh

Great products, but it can be very noisy in the cafe since it is a functioning industrial bakery, so it's not the best place to sit and have a conversation. I think most people come in to buy bread/pastries and take it with them. I like the St. Michel cakes!

Annj Alexander

Great lunch combos that include a drink, sandwich and croissant. This bakery always has a good variety of treats. Their sourdough bread is my fave! The service is usually slow so expect to wait a few minutes.

Lana Temireva

The desserts are great and delicious but coffee is toooo hot. I burned myself all 3 times I visited this place.

Pedro W

Sandwiches are a total rip off. Got the normandie and the guy making it could not have put less cheese or ham. And the baguette is nothing special...like any baguette you’d buy at Safeway but at a higher price. I wanted to love this place as someone from France, but they disappoint.

Kai Hui

Great place for coffee, pastries and cakes. Portions are good and prices reasonable.

Grace Xu

My colleague recommended this place to me and we finally dropped by one day! And the almond croissant ????... to die for...! It’s like candy! The filling on the inside, and crispy almond on the outside. I just love it!

jessica Couto

Cute boulangerie, delicious treats, great staff! Worth the visit.

Elena Bekker

We were offered to sit outside under the pouring rain because we did not have vaccination passports. The counter girl was very nice and polite though...

Dayoung Haley Hwang

Hidden gem! I stopped by because I was super hungry on the way to someone and Im glad I did. The price is reasonable and taste is beyond the expectations! I am definitely coming back!

Darryl Marko

Great bread and pastry. The coffee is good too, though I'd rather see a relationship with a local roster like Milano.

Kevin S

Great place for a snack or light lunch especially if you work in the area. A little pricey for what you get. Savoury pastries are ok but perhaps they don't specialize in working with savoury components. Bread loaves are very good.

Greg

Great sandwiches and pastries

Hannah Nieman

Do you love French baked goods? Sweets? Coffee and tea? Forgot lunch or breakfast? Olivier's has you covered! They have a great selection of baked goods that you can actually taste the butter in. The breakfast sandwiches are especially amazing. Perfect comfort food really. The staff are polite and friendly. The place is clean and follows Covid-19 procedures. Don't forget to wear your mask while ordering inside too!

Anda Bosnea

Great assortment of french pastry, served in a modern yet elegant industrial setting by skilled and friendly staff. Can't wait to try more of their craft.

Martin KO

The staff here are fun and lovely. Great selection of baked goods, cakes and sandwiches and the coffee was top notch too! Not a lot of seating area but fantastic to stop and grab something for home. They also have their range of bread loaves for sale. Excellent experience overall!

Dan McIntyre

Friendly and delightful staff, nice selection of baked goods and freshly made sandwiches, brightly lit environment, great coffee, and seriously delicious croissants. I hope this place does tremendously well.

spydermcfly

First time visit. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'm not a big croissant person but theirs were amazing. We'll definitely be back!

Dmitri Pavlov

I just have 3 words to say: oh, my God! The baguettes are amazing, as close as you can get to real French here with Canadian flour. The croissants are great too. You just have to be lucky to get then fresh, but you will be satisfied even if they are not warm. They have a proper coffee maker, and their coffee is how it should be. Just ask for French coffee the way they have it there. If I could give them more stars, I would!

john B

A friend suggested this bakery. So glad she did because everything tasted delicious. Never been to France but this is the closest I'll get to getting a taste of French bakery goods and I'm totally okay with that!

Diana Klejne

What a cute place ! Really enjoyed meeting there , didnt feel crowded or rushed. Love that it's off the beaten path :)

Michael

This is the closest bakery I’ve found to Paris/France. Incredible pastries and a really friendly owner. It’s not an area I visit often, but now I have an excuse.

Madison Green

What a cute very hidden cafe ! I never knew it was there until I saw a post about it ! Now I want to keep coming back ! The coffee warm and cold tasted amazing ! The customer service was very friendly. The two ladies working were so sweet and answered any questions I had. The food was also super tasty. I would say though that the sandwiches that go for about 8$ had barely anything in them. So I think it’s a bit over priced for not having enough ingredients. My friend had the Prosciutto sandwich which only had meat and cheese in it. They should try adding some more spreads, lettuce , and veggies to make it more worth your while. Otherwise I had the breakfast sandwich which was around 6$ and it was very delicious. The atmosphere is so cute with the old fashion house chairs and lamps, it really creates a calming vibe. I believe the business is also attached to the actual bakery where they make their breads fresh but I could be wrong. Either way it’s a lovely cafe with lots to choose from. The service is fantastic so I would highly recommend checking this place out for fresh bread and pastries.

Jennifer Gilmore

I bought their white sourdough bread at save-on foods to try because I have been on a hunt for bread that I can eat due to dietary issues I have recently become aware of. I love how clean their bread is without all the added garbage in mass produced grocery store bread! I also how how crunchy the sourdough is right out of my toaster but also how soft it is for sandwiches! Im so grateful there is someone local dedicated to making quality breads and Im excited to try their other products!

Stephan Lukac

Tucked away in the bowels of the coquitlam backwaters is the jewel of Olivier's Boulangerie. Fresh authentic pastries with flaky buttery crusts. Rich chocolate croissants, succulent raisin brioche and pattiserie that will have you dreaming of le rue du Paris. Few places in Vancouver have such authentic and delicious collection of French food. If you find it you are sure to be rewarded.

eric carlos

My go-to place for french pastries. Love the salads.

Janice Robinson

Pleasant surprise exploring our neighborhood. Friendly staff, bright clean storefront. Their sandwich menu looked good, so will probably go back and try.

Mebs Chhagan

This place is a piece of France in Vancouver. Awesome.

M K

Absolutely amazing bakery! Everything is natural, fresh and just baked for your needs! Friendly, professional, FR/Eng speaking staff! Pure FR bakery aka European bakery! See images for some of the goodies they bake everyday! Highly recommend Eclairs however be sure you like creme as they are filled with lots of good quality creme inside! Try their sandwich (the bread is theirs and they are just superb!) Highly recommended for breakfast/lunch or any coffee break you may have!

Rochelle Truscott

This is a new found favourite!! I had the sausage breakfast sandwich and it was so so good!! A bit spicy and salty, I'm on a high sodium diet so it was great for me!! Creamy, cheesy and flavourful on a great loaf of sourdough! I had to try a couple pastries. First was the raspberry St. Michel. I have never had one of these before! It's like a muffin and a cookie had a baby and there's raspberry filling!! So good!! I also had the Amandine tart with blueberries, so delicious!! Not too sweet, a great little dessert. For my coffee I tried their salted caramel latte and oh my goodness it was so good. Not at all sweet, almost like a regular coffee with hints of caramel and salt much nicer than the big chain's! I will be back, they have so many delicious pastries!!!

Meri Zch

The best French bakery, with amazing tasting apple turnovers. I’ve never had such excellent tasting baked good. The location on 12 King Edwards big, and great coffee and desserts.

Heinstrung: Rope Access Solutions Chris Heine

Hidden Gem. If I'm at the office I'll ride over and grab a bite. Fantastic bakery and coffee that makes it fresh. Wonderful staff

Brandon

The service here is pretty bad and there is no organization. We have people cutting in line and staff helping them right away. There's also 2 people working to serve one customer and then a third just chatting away as the lineup builds. It'd be nice if they had some sense of urgency.

Sandy

I buy Olivier bread from the grocery store (Choices, Whole Foods and Urban Fare), and I have to say that this is the best bread around. I love using them for my sandwiches. It's not just a great tasting sandwich, but it gives me that good feeling that I get when I eat a home-cooked meal, that has been made with care and love for the food and the person who will be consuming it. I love Olivier's bread so much I couldn't not write a review. Thank you, Olivier and team! :-)

Edna L

Best bread and pastries in town.

Alex Jercan

Great bakery. Good coffee and delicious pastries.

Grace C

We had no idea Olivier’s bread had a physical store! What a gem! Freshly baked French pastries and breads.. ????????

Rick Cell

Really good bread made with top quality ingredients by a fellow from France. Good stuff. Try the peasant bread toasted with butter wow!

Grand Jean

Compared to what's around, yes 4 stars no doubt. This said, if it's ok for most Canadians in general, their products are uneven in taste, presentation and appeal. Don't forget this is a factory. Being able to get a coffee and a relatively good pastry at the same place is quite nice, but unless they install tables outside as soon as the weather permits it, forget enjoying your break there excepted if you have earplugs, earbuds or ????. It's way too noisy (remember: it's a factory), so you'll find very quickly that taking out your order is the best...

Ridhwaan Murad

I love the croissants here.. Coffee is good too. Service is great and the smell of fresh baking first thing in the morning is a great way to start the day.

Kamila Obuhoro

My favorite White Sourdough! Thank you for selling your products at T&T. I can tell the bread doesn't have any bad additives and is not like a toy foam lol. Thank you for all the deliciousness, your bread is pure love <3 Its THAT good so I can eat it with only butter :)

Massi Nartey

Their bread, desserts and even their sandwiches are super delicious

Bob

Yummy bread and sweets. It's hit or miss on what is available. It might be a good idea to call first to see if they have what your looking for, such as a baguette.

Emilia Arsici

Friendly staff, great variety of products and good atmosphere. I bought a peasant bread and four types of cakes - delicious all of them!

Howard Maddex

Didn't expect to find authentic French pastries in a commercial industrial area. Even my lovely young server was from France!

dan9tran2

After vacationing in Paris back in the summer of 2019, I was craving to find something local that was just as tasty! First time going here this morning and am super impressed with the level or service and quality of the baked goods! Will definitely be coming back and recommend to all my friends and family.

Jamie Lee

Staff is always friendly. great tasting bread and pastries. The desserts are decadent and I enjoy their beet or sweet potato sour doughs. They have some seats, but I always get them to go. I heard (correct me if I’m wrong) their ingredients come from France - a true French bakery. It’s a big factory like place with this storefront. I love the sandwiches here too, but baguettes always scrape my mouth. Does anybody have any tips for this? or do people just endure and build callouses in the roof if your mouth? ????

Sachin kamboj

So I get my Iced salted caramel latte/coffee from here every now and then, sometimes it’s too good that I crave it every day and then some days it’s so bad that it’s nothing but water. There is no consistency and that’s what matter. One of their employee literally made my iced latte under 10 seconds, no stirring or mixing, no proper amount of ingredients. It’s like he is just doing it for the sake of getting me out of their place as soon as possible. I’ve personally given a feedback to that employee two times before. When you spend $6 for a coffee you expect something nice. On the other note, I really love everything else they have to offer, it’s just a bad experience that I thought should be brought in attention.

Trina B

Lots of variety of pastries and desserts! Range of price levels for products and coffee too.

Elaine S

My family loves Olivier's bread and I love it not only for the taste but for the wholesome ingredients - NO CHEMICALS OR PRESERVATIVES! I am grateful to be able to purchase them at my favourite stores on the North Shore and grateful that I ran into Valerie in person at Queensdale Market where she recommended that I try the Brioche! It is a new family favourite and makes the best french toast, which I love with vanilla yogurt and fresh berry sauce (see photo). I am looking forward to visiting the bakery in person very soon! Thank you Olivier's for your quality products! Update August 18 adding a photo of Hubby’s French toast made with Brioche - he likes it with fresh fruit and maple syrup ???? Update September 2 so I finally had a chance to visit the bakery in Coquitlam (I live in Deep Cove) and it was well worth the trip. Beautiful, open, spacious and bright - delicious treats and excellent, friendly service by Weijin. Will definitely go again!

Super Soul Sangha

Absolutely amazing fermented sourdough breads and the Chocolate croissants are so good. The pastry is so buttery. Absolute must try

Katy Foster

Fantastic find, pleasant staff, reasonable prices and delicious.

Anju

I never really liked bread here in Canada until I tried the bread from here! I bought it once at No Frills by accident but it was the best accident. I’ve been having it since and I love the peasant one especially. I think it’s fantastic how you use simple ingredients, no preservatives and so many dairy and egg free options. The bread is so rich, I just eat it plain even because it’s that delicious. So glad I found your bakery

Pieter van der Merwe

Fresh quality bread, pastries and baked goods at a real french bakery. They have breakfast and lunch with great espresso drinks. Try the daily soup - it's always a surprise.

Adam Paton

Very tasty! Authentic french bakery with delicious croissants.

Jacqueline Oostenbrink

Nice little oasis in an industrial area. Great coffee and baking.

Marguerite Pear

The bakery is wonderfully authentic French pastries. Need to label the ugly bread as I was charge over charged and didn't realize until home. I emailed twice - no response. So while the food is great, their contact is none. Maybe their site doesn't work?

Liza Tikhova

The best place for an elegant cake. My family got Perle Blanche for my bday. A very beautiful cake with it's mirror glaze and the taste of white chocolate mousse is delicious. Highly recommend!

Michael Blanchard

Best chewy bread around!

Zdenka Svitek

My first visit, baked goods are absolutely the best I ever had! I bake bread too, it takes a lot of time and effort to make quality bread!

John Bellini

Lots of great pastries here and a really nice ice coffee! They have their own style for loaf of beads which is very healthy and good.

Tasha Zed

The best bakery ever.bread is delicious, eclares, croassans, aghh so good. Thanks for all tasty things you make .

Soniya Mathew

We ordered a caramel cake, caramel flan, almond croissant, raspberry and chocolate Swiss, raisin bread and brioche bread from this bakery. The almond croissant was by far among one of the best croissants we have eaten and requires a special mention. The cake and the other pastries were also delicious. I would recommend this bakery to anyone looking to enjoy some real satisfying and excellent treats!!!

Elise

Delicious bread, I highly recommend it! Olivier uses a natural flour, GMO-free and not enriched in gluten - just like in France. My favorite is the Mountain bread, with flax seed. I generally freeze it and toast when needed. I also really like the new cabbage sourdough. Thanks for your work and the care you put into making healthy and tasty bread for us!

Mushin media

Arguably one of the best bakeries in town. Everything is made in-house and is very delicious. They have treats, snacks and a very delicious lunch menu. There is free parking and plenty of seating for the many. At lunch time it can be a little slow but trust me it's worth the wait.

Tristen Hyde

Their sandwiches are really good and the sour dough bread is the best

Nathalie Brandebourger

Very good french baguette, and amazing chocolate cake! MERCI

Sarah

Not a great experience. I got a cheese stick, raspberry and Swiss croissant, and a chocolate/coconut bar. Cheese stick was stale. Raspberry croissant was good! Chocolate coconut bar was bland. I wouldn’t go back.

Dee-Jay Rose The fox

Oliviers La boulangerie is a beautiful little Café and bakery with gorgeous scenery and beautiful outdoor seating views, all pasteries are made in store including the various types of breads available at the front and in many shops where Olivier products are served including large grocery stores and corner markets that support oliviers bakery. Coupled with a friendly staff i gaurantee you wont be disappointed by this quaint taste of france in Coquitlams backyard ♡

Amy W

Great selection! Lots of freshly baked goods for decent price. Will return soon!

Kev inYVR

This is the most wonderful bread I feel that is made locally. Exceptional quality in their baguettes and fresh whole wheat. I have a little love affair going on with their carbs.

Neil Schulz

Olivier's might just make the finest sourdough bread in BC! Always fresh and warm! The storefront always smells incredible!!! Make sure to bring cash though, as they don't take credit or debit.

Sam Chua

The staff are polite and friendly but the sandwiches were kinda light on the ingredients. Things like croissant and danishes would taste a lot better if they were kept warm. If the sandwiches had more ingredients and if the bread was toasted, it would be a winner. There is a basket in the front that said "specials 4 danishes for $4" but most of the bags only had 3 danishes :( I did take home some pastries and they were really good.

Jeffrey Nordstrom

Love the selection. Easy to choose items. Great friendly service.

Jayant Chheda

First time there. Loved their fresh bread. Try the lunch combo.

Bill Tzetzos

Good selection of bread. Good value.

yashfeer M

Was very pleased to find a French bakery/cafe/patisserie locally. It is so hard to find good fresh baked breads and pastries. The bread is fresh, crunchy outside, soft and fluffy inside. The puff pastry confections are among the best I have had. And they also have sandwiches, soups and lots more, dine-in or take-out. Only tiny complaint is the opening hours. I cannot get fresh bread on my way back from work, since they close at 5:30PM. And no baguettes sold in-store on weekends, at least that was the case when I asked a few months ago.

Dwight Dancy

Followed someone's high recommendation to check this bakery out. Very pleasantly surprised. Yum yum yum.

Jaeyoung Kim

Good service, freindly, free coffee to first time visit..!! Breads tasty good!! Clean !!

Вася Петечкин

Bought a birthday cake today from them. Me and five other people agreed that it was the best pastry we had in a very very long time. Safe to say that I'm gonna need bigger size pants soon enough.

Todd S

Great service, good selection of desserts and other baked goods, soups, dips, tasty af sandwiches, bread, and coffee. We'll be back!

Albert Mann

Nice French bakery with great selection. Nice comfortable eating areas inside and outside.

Jon Chan 69

Olivier’s pastries are absolutely delicious and so French for sure! I just wish Olivier opens I shop in South Delta because we need a first class French bakery like this. Their Mountain flax bread is excellent and so are lo their breads and very fair price unlike many of these French bakeries that charge an arm and a leg but lacking quality! We love Olivier’s new location in Coquitlam behind IKEA

Sherry C

It’s the kinda cake I like, not too sweet, very smooth. The stuff there is super friendly.

Jon Twidale

Dropped in a Saturday for pastries and coffee. Crisp, flaky croissants! Fresh bread loaves! And all reasonably priced for a coffee and a snack. We'll be back. Merci!

David R

My favourite from Olivier's might be a strange one: their plain white sourdough. It's the answer to "What if they took boring North American style bread, and made it GOOD?" It doesn't taste sour at all, and it isn't a crusty style, but not every bread needs to be those things. It has real bread taste and real bread texture, in a format that should please those picky kids who think bread has to look a certain way. :)

Jennifer de Gruchy

Oh jeez, authentic French pastry 5 min away?? I’m gonna be a regular here, their croissants are amazing!! Please go and check them out!

Bob Finch

I love real European cafe's. There are too many wanna be's out there. We tried the raisin swirl. It was outstanding. Really perfect and not too sweet. It was exactly like you would get in Europe. With a strong cup of coffee it is perfection. I am anxious to try other treats now. We also bought a baguette. I grew up in Europe so I found the baguette a little too dense and heavy. The crust was much too thick and hard. The yeasty smell just didn't jump out at you as it should. I think the reason for the dense crust is because it is sold through other stores and needs to be thick to stay fresher. Baguette normally only lasts a few hours. It is still probably the best baguette you will find around so I do recommend it. I want to give it 5 stars but can't. I hope he creates a thin crust ficelle bread. I would then give him 6 stars. This place is a real find and we will be going back often!!

A Hoss

I've bought their sourdough bread on 2 occasions from No Frills. Both times they came home with mold spores. Unfortunate because there bread is tasty. I will not purchase this brand again.

angela tatto

Delicious bread and pastries . If you're gluten sensitive buy their sour dough. It's amazing.

Alexi Z

Oliver's Breads is incredible. The breads are delicious, unique and free of chemicals and preservatives. For years I could not tolerate wheat very well. Olivers Bread is the only wheat bread that I can enjoy without any issue. The staff are very friendly as well. I hope that they add a cappuccino machine and a couple of tables one day. It's nice having a taste of France in the Tri-Cities. EDIT: The new location is amazing - they serve coffees, cakes, pastries and have an amazing wood table. This is a great little spot to slow down, chill out and enjoy a bit of European culture in Coquitlam. I think the bread is still consistently amazing, so I don't agree with the other one star post. Thanks to the owner for brining this establishment to Coquitlam!

Jane Pate

Sure - would love to provide feedback. This is our second time there. The first time was about a year ago and we ordered a few items . One of the items was featured on your Facebook as a Caribbean dream and sounded amazing. Unfortunately, it was awful and tasted nothing like described - even my spouse who has a sweet tooth found it overly sweet and we tossed it. The other items we had were ok to good (raisin roll, pain au chocolat and something else). I decided to give it a try again yesterday and ordered $25 worth of items. Some items were really good/good - lemon bar, chocolate shortbread cookie, croissant, raisin roll. My guest commented the brownie was wonderful. The only item we all found disappointing/terrible was the moelleux chocolate. It was dry like sawdust :( When the person filled the order, the ones in the display were all dark and chocolatey looking and there was one that was pale in colour at the back. When I got home, we recieved the one pale in colour. Not sure if it was older or overcooked - but it was dry as could be. But overall, our second experience was better. Anyways, a 3 star rating based on our two experiences.

Adrian W

Incredible bakery and bread. Easily the best bakery in Vancouver with top notch quality. I wouldn't buy any other bread.

Marie Cris

They got a haven of delectable baked goodies❤

ravigai

One of the best places in the Vancouver region to get real French bread and pastries. Most importantly their bakery product does not contain any chemical preservatives used by other commercial bakeries for its longer shelf life. Definitely recommend it.

Aaron Pitts

If you love good pastry this is a place for you

Carmel Taylor

My sister and I came across this amazing bakery. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere....the best cakes I have ever tasted. This is going to be our meeting place from now on.

Tasha K

Love this bakery, amazing goodies. They have pastries, cakes, breads, croissants even sandwiches. So many wonderful options I want to try it all. Discovered it a few days ago while exploring Coquitlam. Came in and a young man helped me out, wonderful customer service. Packed my desserts perfectly so they were in tact by the time I reached home Will definitely visit again, thank you

Mike Beyea

Friendly staff delicious treats and lunchy type stuff

Rodica Barbat

I’ve been buying this bread from the beginning, when the location was in Port Coquitlam.....they HAD the best bread especially the Peasant Bread and the round ones sold by weight. Used to be $6/kg. Not anymore .....very disappointing...your bread now is too sweet and sticky ..... I was patient because I thought that maybe it was a bad batch....nope..... it s like that all the time now.....maybe your sweets are very tasty but the breads are not good anymore ....and I tried them all.....hope the owner will solve the problem !!!!! Please give us back the Peasant bread that used to be. Till that it s done I’ll have to dream of good bread !!!!!

jane walton

Great bread..the mini multigrain is my favourite! And the pastries...oh my goodness. My dog and I had a very pleasurable repast out front in the shade.on a very hot August afternoon.

Daniel Moon

Good food, Good vibes, Great Service! The worker named Andrew was phenomenal. Very impressed, will be coming back for sure!

John Roberts

Excellent breads and outstanding pastries. We love the new Bakery Store / Café. Very friendly family business. Just need a bread slicing machine and Splenda for the coffee. Love the place though.

Jim Brooks

Excellent french bakery. Croissants made with real butter.

Isabella Xavier

I love coming here. It has a nice atmosphere and I feel very comfortable here. They have a lots of good things. Delicious breads and desserts. Very friendly staff.

Renee Rossi

This Bakery is our Saturday guilty pleasure. Amazing baked goods, and lovely service!!

Brian Cluer

It’s hard to find decent bread in Canada, unless you’re willing to go to say Terrabread, and expensive “boutique” bakeries. So we tried Oliver’s mini loaf the other day - bought at “No Frills” on 4th & Fir. It’s really good. Great taste, perfect size slices (for us), and priced well. So we must give them high marks indeed, and they have solved a decades-old bread problem for my wife and me!

Lynn

Lovely to stop in for bread and pastry and delicious coffee. The staff is friendly and you can sometimes practice your french at the counter. Pain au chocolate is a total treat and the savoury items are worth checking out too

This place sells the best croissants I have ever tasted. I find croissants to be dry usually however, this morning i tried a croissant from Oliver's Bread, it was so good. Melts in your mouth good. The outside was nice and flakey and crunchy, while the inside was soft and moist. I have also tried the beguettes here, with some home made garlic butter, a favorite at the dinner table. The staff are very friendly aswell. Always smells so good when you walk in!

Coquitlam's hidden gem located in the maillardville district. We tried the pastries and croissant and it was delicious. If you're ever in the area, this place is worth a visit. The staff are great, friendly and helpful ????

Our new favorite spot to get coffee and treats! Great for the neighborhood as we have no coffee shops in Maillairdville ! Good prices and friendly staff. Defiantly worth checking out

Ciaran Farry

Love this place! The pros- delicious cakes and fresh breads (the cabbage bread and also sweet potato bread is amazing) The cons- I live close to here and enjoy it way too much, not so good for my diet :)

Great coffee and beautiful selection of goodies to go with it

Firstly, the food and pastries are great! The only issue I have is with their online order system. I ordered food online and the quickest pick up time given was 1 hour ahead. Unfortunately, I got a text 20 min later that my order was ready, and had to rush over because the food I had ordered had been warmed up. If I had gotten there at the correct time, unless they reheat the food consistently, it would have been cold. Additionally, there was no clear place to go and pick up the order. You either get in the long line (which negates the point of ordering and paying ahead) or you awkwardly stand there being ignored by the staff trying to indicate you just want the bag you can see in the corner with your name on it. They both seemed to think the other staff was helping me, and kept just serving people in line as I tried to distance myself. I won’t bother ordering ahead again, it seems easier to just get in line and do it the old fashioned way. If there is a specific place to pick up orders, or if you are just suppose to wait in the line to get it, it was not clear. Again, food is great, but pick up was confusing and a bit frustrating.

Great service here and beautiful baked goods selection. Lunch items as well

A few months ago I encountered Oliver's Breads at my local SaveOn Foods. I bought a loaf of Sourdough and became addicted. Taste!! Now I often encountered frustration when I would go to the store and discover, frequently, that this item was out of stock. The good part was that this forced me to also discover that Oliver's makes more than Sourdough and that these other loaves are also terrific. So I just want to send a valentine to the company and a vote that they must continue. Great breads!

Excellent bistro atmosphere with great food and French pastries.

Kim McKay

Gorgeous treats and excellent coffee. I have enjoyed Olivier's bread for a long time, but just found out about this location. Very well set up for safety during COVID.

I'd rec'd a coupon for a free coffee plus croissant. We're very impressed with this place having it very near my home. Walking distance. The place is beautiful, like their decor. Their pastries are most delicious. I introduced my galfriend to this place the following day. She's most impressed also. I'll be introducing a few more friends. Totally love it.

Revisited this place. Did not had a good experience first time round but the owner contacted me and arranged for me to visit her in the store. She let us tried a few of her pastries and bread and got us coffee (husband and I). That was such a personal touch! She sat down and chatted with us, and apologized for the bad experience we had last time. It was an exceptional customer service and that level of attentiveness just blew us away. My husband likes the almond croissant and I personally like the raisin Danish thing, not sure what it is called. My son definitely enjoyed the croissant (especially the inside). Would definitely go back to them and support the business!

The best French Bakery in Coquitlam.

Ashley D

Inconsistant. When the lovely french lady serves you, it is usually good. Other employees seem confused/lack training. Sandwiches are very, very light on ingredients. No soup today which was very disappointing. Last week and this week out of several cookies.

Jason B

Really great stuff and awesome staff.

Ben Fisher

Amazing products and clean store front

Hamid Rajaian

I am very satisfied with the various types of breads, pastries and ... . Staff are friendly and very kind. The shop is very clean and tidy.

Had a craving for an Almond Croissant this morning so googled to find where I could get one in Coquitlam and up popped Olivier's. I realized that this was the bakery that makes the best sour dough bread. So we went and came home with almond croissants, ham and cheese croissants...so yummy, a Normandie Baguette for lunch later, and some cookies...everything including the service was superb! Will definitely be back for more.

Barry Kroeker

I’ve always been impressed with there quality of their bread and sandwiches. I always Order their Paris it usually has very good quality smoked ham, today I bought it and it had rolled ham loaf all I could taste was salt and artificial ham , the same stuff subway uses , too bad, if I wanted Subway I’d go there

Easily the best bakery in the city. I'd even make the trip here if I lived downtown. The ambiance is pretty no frills, but the bread and the pastries and wow the croissants!

Julius Fernandes

Kawal Kaur

Best baguette i have ever tasted !!

Anaïs Tourneux

I took chocolatine, pain aux raisins, chocolate eclair. I expected a better « feuilletage » for the chocolatine and the pain aux raisins. The Eclair was good. The guy offer me a pain au raisin because I was waiting and I appreciate a lot (thank you).

After spending $8 on a single loaf at Save On, this is the type of bread you’ll get. It’s not bread, it’s literally just the crusts due to the amount of holes. Very poor quality control. And a waste of money.

Celso Gonzalez

Great French pastries and bread. If you want a taste of France go there.

Jean Riou

Good bakery, good pastry

Shannon

After returning home from visiting Paris I was eager to find a French bakery. One day, I purchased a loaf of Parisian peasant bread in a local grocery store and was so impressed by the quality of this bread that I researched the bakery where it had come from. To my surprise and delight google maps led me to this local Coquitlam bakery that included a verified Parisian style café! Not only that, but the staff were very friendly and the lattes and food yummy!! I soon began to introduce everyone I knew to Olivier's! It has now become my preferred meeting spot for work meetings. I have also given gift cards to others as a thank you and a means of introduction to this delicious Parisian bakery/café proudly located here in our home city! **EDIT: Yes Olivier's La Boulangerie...thank you for asking...please do feel free to add to your social media pages.

Yan Emond

My go to place for croissants and pastries in New West! And I'm from France so you can trust that guy.

Jonathan Y

zomg. What a find. Only by chance I saw a sign for a bakery at the intersection. Stumbled upon this place tucked behind in an industrial area. The baked goods are amazing. Breakfast and lunch service.

Greg Eden

Great French pastries. Made the traditional way and quality like what you’d get in Paris or Brussels
