Ordered the wonton soup, garlic toast, and breakfast sandwich. The wonton soup broth was just Ok, and the wontons were like mystery meat. I would have preferred if they used shrimp wontons it would have tasted better. Garlic toast was what you would expect for garlic toast. The breakfast sandwich... it could have been good if they didn't mix in the greens, which I think is spinach? The greens did not flow well with the egg and bacon, and it added a strange after taste to the sandwich. It's more like a lunch sandwich than breakfast sandwich.

Finally visited this cafe and was disappointed...that I didn’t sooner! The staff are very friendly and I seriously want to try everything on the menu. They offer unique baked goods (for amazing prices), quality drinks and the shop itself has a clean, cozy, ambiance. Always love supporting a local shop over a chain. Will definitely be back.

We were looking for a coffee shop on Google almost all coffee shops were closed and this on the list was closing soon. So we picked this place and was ready to drive at 9 pm when we picked this place Google said it closes in hour and we were happy????. We rushed to this place and I found they have wonderful assortment of pastries as well. This was not expected at all. They give 3 pastries in $12 another surprise element so I picked up 3 Praline chocolate, mango coconut moose cake and strawberry rhubarb shortcake. I have had the praline chocolate pastry it taste amazing ????. The cake is moist chocolate not too sweet not too bitter and coconut and hazelnut gives the right balance ????.They have good breakfast menu as well I need to try that next time. Service was also excellent. I would recommend this place for coffee lovers and pastry lovers too.

If I could have my coffee and eggs here every day I would, with a cinnamon bun to go for my afternoon snack! Americanos are SO GOOD, and the egg bakes with just a bit of spicy sauce. They have pretty little cakes which are all delicious (ask me how I know) and are friendly, clean, and the space has a calm, relaxing energy if you have the time to sit and stay. Check out the locals' artwork on the walls. (And don't buy up all the day-old bacon-spinach scones because I need them!)

Really nice drinks and the sandwiches are so well-balanced and refreshing to eat! They also have lovely cakes. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The space is on the smaller side, but there is still good seating. And location is great since its near royal city centre (and is a central location accessible by many buses).

I found my new favorite little gem. The place is tiny though, but they made the best latte I had!!! I am so happy they had lactose free milk, because in general, milk tastes better for coffee. The pastries are yummy. Also, the service is super friendly and accommodating. 10/10 my favorite cafe right now.

What a nice little cafe in my neighborhood!! Love the look of the coffee bar, and their desserts look otherworldly. Had an americano which was delicious. Highly recommend the bacon, cheddar and chive scone. Their prices are amazing. Try this place!!

Just came back from this lovely place, after hanging out for a couple hours. I wish I had gone sooner and discovered this place earlier; this cafe is so cute, warm ambiance and friendly staff. I also picked up a scone (which was yummy), my matcha latte was divine, and I brought home cakes for my family. Definitely a local gem!

My favorite place to eat lovely sandwiches that are fresh and full of flavor. The also have desserts to die for that will bring you back for more. A must try is thier homemade cinnamon buns. They're not too sweet and delicious even if they are day olds. I have enjoy many hot beverages here as well, matcha latte, regular coffee, and chai latte. Friendly atmosphere, and great art work on the walls from local artists.

Good coffee. Very friendly lady. Love it how they are open till 10. These days all the good joints close early. They do carry the Milano roasts. The only reason why I am taking away a star is because the oat milk they use doesn't quite hit the spot. Starbucks has gotten their oat milk right, let's beat them O Flavour Balance. :)

Cute little coffee shop with a nice little selection of baked goods and cakes, all reasonably priced. I ordered an Americano and a cinnamon roll. The coffee tasted great, and the cinnamon roll was as you'd expect. I would definitely come back for their coffee and try their other desserts.

We dropped in on this lovely cafe today to see what it was like. It's funny, because we live nearby and till today haven't taken much notice of this place. They had a menu displayed outside, so we decided to take a look and liked what we saw. A nice lady working there asked if we needed some help, so we decided to order one of their mango banana smoothies; it was delicious! Not overly sweet, which I liked. We got swept away by their cake display case, so also got tuxedo cake, red velvet and strawberry rhubarb shortcake. All were 5 stars, but my personal favorite was the strawberry rhubarb shortcake, refreshing and light. There other baked goods such as scones and cinnamon buns looked delicious as well. Will be back for their all day breakfast! Thank you for a pleasant experience.

Happen to be in the neighborhood and. Got mango coconut mousse cake, tuxedo, and strawberry short cake. The cake are pretty good! Not too sweet. Nice and smooth. Very good deal and fair price as well. Wish it’s close to my house.

These guys are fantastic. Not only do they source local beans and gelato, they also make their baked goods in house. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It's also a great value. I had a DELICIOUS breakfast sandwich, a baked tart, a couple of coffees all for around $20. I would definitely recommend this new cafe. Downtown may have Hive and Old Crow, Uptown has Flavour Balance.

They use beans from Milanos so their coffee is AMAZING! My favourite is their iced latte. Their treats are dangerously good! The cinnamon buns and cheese and green onion buns are killer and baked fresh eat morning. They also sample their cheesecake often and it is YUMMY ???? ????

I was driving in the area and notice this cafe and decided to check it out. Standing in line reading g the labels and thought this is interesting. I decided to order three cakes as other pastries to go. My husband and I loved it!! The service was very friendly as well and nice atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating available. Big thumbs up to this espresso bar, I will be returning probably religiously. Will also be ordering birthday cakes from here from now on.

Been here twice now and the Coffee is good, I had a black dark roast last time and it was well. this time I had an espresso with my good friend who is French and he said it was very classic, last time it was not so bitter. I don't usually drink espresso but did because I wanted something different but it was too bitter for my taste. The pastries I buy are always excellent, so far being the white chocolate scone, date square, cheese scone, and cinnamon roll. Very happy to have a proper coffee shop with a relaxing vibe in New Westminster uptown. I would compare it to the standard of Bjornbar Bakery in North Vancouver which I have fond memories of.

Baked goods are all fresh and delicious - the cakes are especially tasty and have fun and unique flavours. Drinks are great too and they have a wide selection (espresso drinks, smoothies, Thai iced tea, and more). Friendly staff, great service, bright and clean seating areas. Everything is reasonably priced as well. Great locally-owned coffee shop in New West!

I live across the street so we went in one day and got 3 pieces of cake to go. Red velvet, Tuxedo, and Strawberry shortcake. We were in heaven, they were all so good!! The strawberry cake was the best, it was like a light sponge with layers of perfect light cream. The only bad thing is it's too close to me and I'm going to eat too much cake. I haven't tried their drinks yet so can't comment on those. The people were polite and nice. Edit - the drinks are great too, and the clam chowder is so creamy and delicious. Love the scones too. My only wish is for a version of their cinnamon bun with no raisins.

Burnt, cheap coffee, dismissive staff, and impractical “breakfast sandwich” with third-wave coffee shop looks. Seriously, the sandwich should be served in a bowl with a fork with how much sauce and grease is on it, also just using the tall “egg bites” pre-made patties doesn’t work for a sandwich…most people can’t even open their mouth that wide and shouldn’t have to for a sandwich anyway. Those are meant to be eaten with a fork, not between bread. Also…pickles on it??? Very odd choice Make an effort.

I have been coming to Flavour Balance every once in a while and they never disappoint. I tried an Espresso float for the first time today and it was so good!! The balance between the coffee and ice-cream is just perfect, not too strong but not too sweet. My dad ordered a latte and the latte art is always so pretty. The owners are super accommodating as my dad doesn’t like his bacon grilled cheese sandwich too toasted so they made it not as toasted for him. But I love mine super crispy and toasted. (not shown as I finished it too quickly)

Stopped by this hidden gem yesterday (seriously hidden, I jogged right by it even though I knew it was somewhere on Belmont) for a latte and cinnamon bun and it was so good! Fresh, baked in-house, and just the right amount of sweetness. Price was affordable and the barista was friendly too. My brother bought cakes there last week and they were delicious as well.
