REVIEWS OF Cinnamon Soul Cafe IN New Brunswick

One of the best seafood chowder I have had and I live in a large fishing community in SW Nova Scotia where we have the best seafood in the province. Cinnamon rolls are nice and soft, warm, creamy frosting comfort food that will keep you coming back for more. We did! Excellent food and service.

Ellen

What a delightful little cafe! We stopped in for a quick lunch and were more than satisfied with the soup and sandwich we ordered. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere is homey and comfortable. We took a piece of AMAZING carrot cake to go!

Gary Beifuss

Latte was cold, lemonade was nothing special (grocery store jug). Tea was decent, service was great

Pascal Werlberger

A real gem in Hillsborough. A delicious main dish/appetizer selection, deserts are excellent. We had the cinnamon bun. And a great selection of coffee. Some outside seating is available in the shade.

Johnnyice

Great flowers, food, location (nice outside deck) and quick service even when they were very busy, will. Be going back for sure.

Brenda Berry Berry

I love that this cozy spot often features specials using locally grown produce and meats. The result is always tasty, and sometimes ethnic influenced. Check out the selection of locally made knits, artwork and earthy pottery too. The table service on the deck in the summertime is nice.

Paula C

Food was delicious, the latté was great. Cute spot, really friendly staff.

Cutest Cafe around...I do believe it's for sale. Check hours before visiting as they are a little different. Yummy sandwiches!

Daniel Wilkin

A nice little locally owned spot. We spent the night in Hillsbourough on our honeymoon last September and had breakfast at Cinnamon Soul. The food was terrific and the service was "Maritme" friendly. …

JAIMIN AHIR

Perfect place for a quick breakfast or brunch. Fast service, nice staff and beautiful cozy setting. Food is excellent with vegan options too.

André Bentivoglio

Great food and coffee. Courteous and welcoming staff. The sticky bun dessert was so good we forgot to take a picture of it.

Thomas Eichner

Best cinnamon rolls ever. To do on every bucket list if you are nearby!!! Don't miss it. It's hidden behind sunflower direct at the main road.

Overall okay at best. The eggs taste rather slimy and gross, and the toast is some the worst bread I've ever consumed in my life. It just taste completely and utterly wrong and is hard to swallow. The pancakes are decent, and the Peppermint Patty latte I had was flavorful. The main reason I'm not rating this lower is because of their sausages; they're juicy, large, overall fantastic, and the best sausages I've ever had.

The servers know the menu and recommend favorite and popular choices for your consideration. The kitchen is very clean and well organized. Our food was served hot and delicious, in a timely manner. Our five friends each had different meals, they all agreed that we would eat there again soon. The atmosphere was very relaxing and enjoyable, our server was quick to make sure our water glasses were full and the coffee was hot and refilled without asking for more. The prices are very reasonable, and the owner obviously supports other local businesses as well as their own. A very thoughtful choice that we all agreed was very important part of the small community we live in. The portions were more than we expected to receive, no one had dessert although they looked so delicious. I took two to go and enjoyed them later that same day. The cinnamon bun with yummy cream cheese icing was so good I will highly recommend a return visit to just to have a coffee and dessert. Enjoyed every moment and to ensure a table for will be prepared for you I would recommend reservations. Thank you .

Best seafood chowder I've ever had and a good amount of seafood in it! I also got a cinnamon bun and would give it a 4 out of 5.

Dave Prosser

Love this place !!! The most delicious cinnamon bun's on the planet !!! As we as a great selection of other beverages an food's. Well worth the drive time and effort to enjoy one or two !!!

Jamie Gore

This charming place offers some incredible food including the best pulled pork sandwich I've ever had (sorry Mom). The fresh-out-of-the-oven cinnamon rolls melted in my mouth. Additionally, the customer service was over-the-top kind and helpful. The place was very busy so expect a bit of a wait but it was well worth it!

Melody Land

A cute cafe in the heart of Hillsborough, with a farm to table vibe. Variety of items on the menu that would appeal to a wider range of tastes, strong drink menu (hot and cold, alcoholic and not), and baked goods. Gluten free available. …

Wonderful place to stop for a treat on the way to Hopewell Rocks. Got a tip from a local in Sussex and were pleasantly surprised with our visit. The cinnamon rolls were remarkable!

Garrett Wilkin

This was the restaurant of my dreams! I had the thai bowl and it was so refreshing and satisfying!

Annie Crawford-LeBlanc

10/10 cinnamon buns. 0/10 service. On a previous visit I was told weekends are busy even just for pick ups, so to call a head to place an order. No problem, smart helpful tip so I called and said I'd be there in half an hour and was told they had set aside cinnamon buns I requested. I was 10 minutes late because of the construction with the causeway and when I arrived I was told they didn't have any, and that more were being put in the oven, should only be ten minutes. It was presented to me as "we wanted to make sure you got really fresh ones" not as "we gave away the order you asked to be put aside". No problem 10 minutes is fine, so I pay and they said I could wait out front in my vehicle and they would bring them out to me. I waited for 35 minutes, and as I watched the person who served me at the cash bring out cinnamon buns to a table who was sat outside, I decided go in and get them myself. I understand being busy, I understand giving away the cinnamon buns that I was instructed to call ahead to have set aside, but what I don't understand is the lack of acknowledgement for how terrible an experience it was. When I went inside to ask if my cinnamon buns were ready, the server I dealt with said "they've been ready for twenty minutes, we've been waiting for you to come get them". The same server who instructed me to wait in my car, was scolding me for doing as she asked. Overall the cinnamon buns are delicious, maybe I just caught the customer service on an off day- hope that doesn't happen to you.

This cafe is not only super adorable but the food is absolutely delicious!!! The seafood chowder, best thing ever. Husband had the chicken panini and was to die for!! Service was incredibly nice and we're definitely coming back when we pass by again!! What a treat!

Ally Harris

It's nice to have a cozy little coffee shop like this in Hillsborough. They're even busy in winter which is great to see. The paninis are great. Last time I went though I got charged an extreme amount for two cups of coffee and two slices of cake. I think we actually got charged for a whole cake because we ended up being charged about $35 for the two of us. Hard to be sure though because we were never actually shown any prices for the cake.

Troy Wentworth

We really enjoyed our meal. I had the mushroom ???? stuffed wirh lobster as a starter...awesome. Then a pulled pork panini with a delicious house salad. The food was superb. Great atmosphere. The Staff were friendly and attentive. We left with a latte and cinnamon bun!!

Brittany Gahan

We stopped at this Cafe for breakfast. It was amazing. A lot of organic options, homemade and the atmosphere was so peaceful and calming. Highly recommend. I almost didn't get the cinnamon bun because I was so full, I'm so glad I indulged. Warm right out of the oven. ????

Andy Bauman

Great food, great service. Seafood was fresh and generous, nice atmosphere.

Ian

Wonderful baked goods with delicious coffee. Great selection of lunch items with vegetarian options. A nice deck as well!

Paul Limacher

The cinnamon buns are divine. They serve it warm with cream cheese icing on the side. It’s mother in law approved.

Joel Kancir

A must visit spot. The cinnamon buns are absolutely delicious. Lattes are really yummy. Always try to stop here when I'm in the area.

Leslie L

They do bread and buns really well! Everything else was just okay. The bun for the lobster roll was great as well as the chowder biscuit and dessert treats. Lobster was too expensive. The chowder soup is also unique and good.

Joel Landry

The food was amazing, and their coffee is always fantastic

Amanda Parker

The cinnamon buns and seafood dip are both amazing! Great customer service and a nice little stop on the way to Hopewell Rocks.

Thomas Marentette

Outstanding food but beware it is wildly expensive. The waiter warned us that the price of the lobster roll increased but I didn’t expect it to be double…ended up being $120 for 2 orders of the lobster roll with a side of seafood chowder and 2 non alcoholic drinks.

Lorraine Staples

This is a great little restaurant! I had their veggie paninni and my husband had the seafood chowder. Both were excellent. But what really impressed us was that they have Pump House craft beers on tap. And they served the PH blueberry ale with real blueberries. Awesome!

Ray Hopkin

The food was amazing, and very friendly staff.

Ashraf Rahmani

We ate BBQ chicken nacho and veggie panini for the first time at the café. Both were delicious! The coffee was good tool

Norbert Aschenbrenner

Charming small café. Wonderful women ran the place. Food is very good and well spiced. Definitely a good idea to stop here at the road to Hopewell Rocks. Probably the better choice than the eating place in the park - which I cannot comment on because everything was closed after the season.

Elizabeth Milne

Great food a little busy so service was confusing. Had 3 separate people serve us. One to greet, one to take order, one to deliver order. I will be back food was fantastic.

Ben Fisher

Saw this place on the way to Hopewell rocks and decided to stop on the way back. I sure am glad we did! Wonderful friendly service and delicious well-made quality food. We had soup and sandwich and a cinnamon bun and it was so good! If you're going by, don't miss out!

I just wanted to try something new... I liked it! New place for me, new food, new people. I had a good time.

Jim Beach

We had a wonderful lunch here, small place with inside and outside seating and parking on the street. Very interesting menu, a number of panini’s mine was a homemade meatball with BBQ sauce, all the panini’s are done one homemade bread sandwich size with a side of seafood chowder, which was about 1 1/2 cups of chowder, for exchanging my chips or salad for the chowder was just $3 which brought the soup and panini to $12.95.

Amanda Doupe

I was really disappointed with the service and quality of food. We stopped for a late lunch after going to the Bay of Fundy. It is a cute little cafe. There were only 4 tables occupied, so one would expect good service, but there was not. We had a ask for cutlery and a refill of coffee. Our food took 40 minutes to come out, and the nachos we received were flat and tasted like they were microwaved. The burger that was the special was good though and looked and tasted like it was homemade and worth the price. When we asked for the bill, it was never brought to us, so after 5 minutes of the server not coming back, we went up to pay and our server could not remember what we ordered. After we finally paid and were walking out the door, she caught me and told me she forgot to ring in the muffins. Overall, the appearance of the cafe is cute and looks like it is a great experience, but we did not have a good experience at all. We paid $60 for 3 plates and 3 muffins, one would think the food would be good, but pride is not evident in all their menu items I guess. I would not recommend this place to anyone sadly.

Cory Gaudet

Super nice staff, good coffee and quick service. Their food specials are always delicious! Highly recommend for all meals - especially breakfast.

Mary Brantnall

Waitresses did a fantastic job and were really friendly. The atmosphere was really nice, and the decor felt very fresh. Ordered the pesto panini and cappucino; both were excellent and fairly priced. Would definitely recommend!

Logan Keirstead

Cinnamon Soul Cafe is a great spot to go for a Sunday drive, or on your way to Fundy National Park. This family owned business is quaint, and comfortable. Their menu has something for everyone, and their staff is very friendly. It's a great spot to grab a coffee and a MUST have cinnamon bun on the go, or to sit and enjoy a meal.

Ming L

Best seafood chowder in all of East Coast. Service was meh, they looked after other people way more than us, just brought us food and forgot about us. Still good food good price

Amanda Hillock

The best cafe experience we've had in North America. This place is the real deal - great menu, excellent coffee and the friendliest staff. You have to try their sticky buns... they are truly special!

Étienne Cordat

Very nice restaurant/ café. Food very good and so are the drinks. Best shortcake! Lightly sugared ???? Everything is served in very beautiful artisanal pottery. Very nice staff.

J C

Multiple locals on the east coast have mentioned Cinnamon Soul so we made sure to stop by on our way nearby. It was a good choice as we absolutely loved our cinnamon buns. Thank you!

Sophie Simonds

This place is the CUTEST and so delicious!! We are here visiting from Saint John and am so happy this place is open over Thanksgiving weekend! The staff is so nice and the food was so simple but so good!!! We already reserved for breakfast tomorrow morning!

Michael Kelly

A must stop place! If your traveling to the bay of Fundy. Located in the small town of Hillsborough. A dot on the highway but a wonderful family owned restaurant. Delicious home cooking and relaxing atmosphere!

Eden Sullivan

We stopped here after visiting the Hopewell rocks on a rainy day. We had the chowder & lentil soup as well as a gluten free panini. The food was super delicious the interior cute and the staff kind. All around great experience

Agnes Roter

A perfect stop after our Hopewell Rocks hike. Charming cafe with good variety of food options (traditional and beyond, to suit various preferences in our group) made with fresh ingredients. And for dessert - the namesake cinnamon rolls were incredible. Great service as well. A gem of a cafe.

Samit D

The western waffle is just incredible!!!! Also the dirty chai and the lemonade. Really impressed.

Vlad Reacher

This place advertises of cinnamon buns but when we got there at 2 pm they were already out. Also they were out of meat balls as advertised on their menu. We ordered soup and coffee to go. Told us to wait 20 min for the order. Unacceptable.

Nicole Hobbins

AMAZING. Must-stop if you're doing the Fundy Coast Drive. Amazing drinks, amazing pastries, and THE BEST lobster rolls we've ever had. Plus - adorable setting and beautiful pottery. Friendly and warm even during the off-season!

V Krausz

Friendly staff, amazing ambiance, and gorgeous pottery for sale! You're met by a scrumptious smell and beautiful flowers before even setting foot inside. HEAVENLY CINNAMON BUNS!!! Like, travel-from-Ontario-for-them cinnamon buns. Do it do it do it.

joo

Stop their on our way to PEI, probably the cutest coffee shop I've seen in my life, food was delicious, coffe was soooo good, and how about these AMAZING Cinnamon buns WOW,

John Couture

We drove by the restaurant on our way to Hopewell Rocks. We planned to go there and then come back for dinner. We ended up staying longer than we thought, so we didn’t end up getting to the restaurant until it was a half hour before closing. We weren’t sure if we would be able to be seated seeing as we were that annoying customer that walks in right before close! But they were more than accomdating and the food was fantastic. Well priced and a very comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Todd Leblanc

Awesome accidental find. Highly recommend, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Cinnamon roll was amazing and washed it down with a delicious Pumphouse Blueberry ale

Nick Pizza

This place was cute and delicious! Got iced coffee and yum yum yum it was good. Their cinnamon buns were quite different but very nice. Not too sweet which is a pleasant change from the usual. Very efficient service and friendly staff.

Franky Czinege

This is a cute little cafe/restaurant on your way in/out to Hopewell Rock. We visited as two families (total of 10) and each of us quite enjoyed our meals. I chose the seafood bake, which was made from scratch and fantastic. The wives had …

Brandon Prusak

Stopped in from the road trip all the way from Edmonton, Alberta! Had some food which was good and a fresh just out the oven cinnamon bun which was really good! So many stripes too ????

Olesya Hladkova

We were told to come back to pick our order in 30 minutes, but at that time our cinnamon buns were sold out, so disappointed and upset... Terrible service, it was only reason for our trip. Never will get back to the cafe.

BL Smith

Good social distancing. Nice atmosphere. Menu has a good variety of options. Food was very good. The bread pudding is delicious.

b3lla kay

Had such a wonderful experience here. The lunch was amazing and the lattes were supreme. An excellent stop along the beautiful scenic drive.. Highly recommend!

Karen Comeau

The most absolutely best chai latte I've ever had. The lasagna and caesar salad was delicious. But the piece de la resistance was the sticky bun pudding I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Service was excellent and quick ( was there …

Bernard Savoie

Great food, fair prices, it took a bit of time for the meal but it was a busy Saturday. Will definitely go back.

smittyleafs

Good food, good service. The garlic cheese naan bread was amazing, and the lasagna was very good. They're also a bakery, and people were leaving with arm loads of cinnamon bins. I'd be back to try something different, probably the burgers.

Barbara

Small little gem in Hillsborough for sure, friendly staff, delicious food, I highly recommend

Peter Khokhlov

We had an excellent dinner there! The lamb burger was incredible, other things were also very very good, but the cinnamon buns were even better than that!!! 10 stars out of 5 ))) The staff was very pleasant and kind as well!

Svitlana Arbeau

Quaint cafe with pleasant and beautiful atmosphere in and out. Loved the sunflowers outside and tasty breakfast served on pottery dishes :)

Jennifer Wright

Sharon Turriff

Seafood Chowder was so delicious. As was the Biscuit. The Cinnamon Bun was Amazing.

Kimberly An

This place is so popular. We got there right at opening, 9am on a Wednesday and it took an hour to get our food. I think there was only one server and they had 12 tables of people so maybe they were short that day. We sat outside so had to …

Luc Michaud

Great food and excellent! Thank you

Dylan Saulnier

The food here is absolutely amazing !!! We love it ! But unfortunately it takes about 20 years for someone to serve you. Expect to be waiting a very long time for any type service. If they fixed this, they'd be a six star cafe in my books !

Lori Lynn

I was here last year and wanted to revisit. Glad I did The food, wine and service was great. I will be back for breakfast Their breakfast menu looked very tempting

Meghan

Hidden gem! Fantastic little spot and it was very clean. They had something for everyone’s dietary restrictions: vegan, gluten-free vegetarian options. Wide variety of drinks, and a very good selection of food. Not just baked goods, but meals. I have the lasagna with a side Caesar salad, and it was excellent! Very good portion for a very good price. Overall everything is priced reasonably for REAL food. I’d really recommend the baguettes, unfortunately you can’t buy them but it is baked in house and it is fantastic! As for baked goods the chocolate chip cookie and cinnamon buns are so delicious. Unfortunately the service is lacking just a little bit but an easy fix! I will seriously go back!

Wayne James

This was awesome!! Thought it was only deserts. Totally wrong. Super menu and non everyday restaurant food. Super atmosphere. Friendly and caring service. Nice place for desert and coffee or a full meal and desert! Can't wait yo go back fora lunch maybe. Don't put it off. Go soon.
