Over the past few years since Zinnia opened, I have bought a few items for myself and as gifts. These items have held up really well because I wear them often! They are still my favorites and the fabrics are very comfortable; the fashions are very versatile. It’s one of those stores that is refreshing to go in to just to admire the displays and artwork, even if you don’t feel like trying on clothes. The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful.

Shopping at Zinnia is a wonderful experience! The staff are thoughtful and intuitive and will really listen to you to help you find the right thing. I always get compliments when wearing my Zinnia dresses. I love that I can shop without having to weed out the synthetic fabrics or research where the garment was made and by whom. Every item was conscientiously considered and beautiful.

Absolutely love this little store with textiles, clothing & more. Jen sources with love all of the most ethical and deliciously tactile fabrics. I have an organic cotton duvet set that I simply adore and a couple beautiful dresses. I anticipate trading more of my coloured papers in for additional wonderful pieces! You will find purses, scarves, jewellery, robes, linens, cottons, men's wear, dresses, children's clothes, underwear, pottery... and so much more. Many of the items are locally sourced and make for great gifts. Highly recommend going in for a browse and saying hello to the lovely staff. Check the walls for impressive art as well!

I LOVE Zinnia! I love that they support ethical fashion and carry lots of beautiful made in Canada options. They have one of my favorite brands, Smoking Lily, which creates fun, hand-printed clothing made in Victoria BC. The employees are knowledgeable, friendly and super helpful. P.s. Zinnia textiles is the perfect place to go to treat someone (or treat yourself!) to mindfully selected, ethically produced clothes and accessories. I want to buy everything in there, and it's all of excellent quality. I also love knowing that you're contributing to good things as I'm, for example, buying the perfect dress. Generally the details of production have already been considered before the item is in store. I know the staff is strongly interested in sustainable production of the goods they carry and each producer has been carefully vetted. Can't say enough good about it! Save up and buy beautiful sustainable pieces here!

It is a gorgeous, serene and well curated environment.... original, not something you will find in every store, with many one of a kind, handmade pieces to adore (that are so well made, they will last you a life time!) The staff is super kind, knowledgeable and passionate about the items they carry.... and I can understand why! They have the cutest store dog, make their own upcycled cashmere wears, have great online social media presence and I hear they also do online sales!! Incredible! What else could you need?! I just discovered the most wonderful boutique in all of Nelson and there are a lot of good ones in our eclectic town ! I stumbled upon a sunny sales rack filled with beautiful TEXTILES ! Yes you hear right , linens , cottons hemp , etc . Upon entering it’s a feeling of a spaciousness & very zen like organization. And so many wonderful things to choose .I bought a linen dress that will always be in style . ZINNIA is a must see ! Thank you for the kind attitude in store . A breath of fresh air ! I left a happy customer.

Inconsistent customer service? I normally have really great experiences in this store but when I went yesterday, the lady working at the front desk was quite unfriendly, seemed annoyed that I was in the store, and then gave really poor, low quality/disinterested responses to the questions I was asking. I asked where a certain product was and they pointed in a general direction, and while i was asking questions she was not paying attention and inputting information on the computer while swearing openly? Really weird experience that took me off guard as i normally have great customer service from their employees. This makes me hesitant to go in again and uncomfortable about asking questions if they are working.
