Great selection of food, awesome spices! Owner was very helpful, assisted us and gave advice as to which spices worked for which push, and then went across the street to cut up our mango for us! Awesome! Thanks again! Highly recommended!

I visited this lovely little store over my Christmas vacation to visit my family. Like anytime I visit my family I like to treat them to home cooked extravagance. In this case I'm also filming for my YouTube channel talentless cooking, and there were some spices missing from their rack. Nelson isn't known as a place for reasonable prices or exotic ingredients. In fact most visits I struggle to find the items I need to complete a dish. This store is a one stop shop for the spices and ingredients to make some fabulous food. In my haste to go shopping I had forgotten my mask, and I was horribly embarrassed. I asked the clerk for a mask and they opened a new box, just for me. After a few minutes of picking up items my hands were full, and again they went out of their way to be helpful and brought me a basket. I wasn't really paying attention to prices until I reached the counter and found that my purchase was very reasonable! I don't hand out 5 stars often, and it's even rarer that I wish I could give 6 stars.This is truly a hidden gem of the high street of Nelson.

The owner Sehraj is very helpful in getting the stuff that we want . If he doesn’t have in stock he tries to get it arranged in couple of days . I am very thankful to him in helping everyone in kootenay region to get the stuff that everyone wants .

Great addition to Nelson. I don’t know how many small BC towns have a full-service Indian grocery store (with made on premises spices) but I imagine the number is small. This one exudes there same friendly enthusiasm of its sister restaurant across Baker. I’m very glad to have it at hand for our frequent Indian home cooking.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. They are willing to take the time to help you find items, the staff even have recommendations to cater to recipes I was making for the first time. I will be coming back regularly for the great service and the quality products at a reasonable price.

Love this place! The made in house sauces are incredible! The Butter chicken sauce????????. Owner and staff are so friendly and helpful. Nelson really needed this place. So many different options and food to try. Great job KTK Masala!
