I rarely give a 5 out of 5, but this place deserves it! A lovely cafe which is family owned and operated. High-quality ingredients and tasty treats baked in house. Hard to find these days. Highly recommend you detour from your usual Starbucks and sample Thirsty Spirit. (Fair prices too!)

Really great place to go get a coffee after shopping. The staff are extremely friendly and they have the best Nanaimo bars in town, maybe even in the province. They are also staying open for take-out in this difficult time, so everyone should check the place out. 10/10

I love this place, they do AMAZING coffee which they roast themselves. However I also frequent the BTC ATM on site, and it's truly a gamble if the café is open or not. Phone # on Google doesn't work, their wifi doesn't work last time I was there, the Bitcoin ATM kept going offline (partially due to the café wifi deficiency). I was able to Sell eventually but this took nearly and hour and several phone calls to the operator. I think I'd be wayyyy less frustrated if either 1) they had set hours, or 2) I can simply call to see if they are open, before getting up early, skipping coffee and breakfast, to come there "early" (I work afternoon shifts), with nearly 2 hours to spare before I head to work. Now I have less sleep, no coffee, café is not open, phone # doesn't work, and I cannot use their BTC ATM which honestly I desperately needed (my old car finally died last night). Now I am grumpy and writing mixed reviews :P IF THEY HAPPEN TO BE OPEN, it's an amazing spot for coffee and a snack. 10/10 would recommend.

Delicious scones, fresh roasted (in house) coffee and friendly atmosphere. I like that if you bring your own cup you are only charged for a small and they sell their day olds for cheap. Bonus- bitcoin atm that you can buy and sell bitcoin from.

Erin and her mom Pat are some of the friendliest people you can find. Warm sincere service and good fresh roasted coffee. Me and my buddies had their onion soup made from scratch. It was great. They also have a bitcoin machine with great prices. If they have the loaded potato soup order it! It is so rich tasting and good based on an old Irish recipe. They also have in house fresh roasted fair trade beans which are a great take home. Sumatra Dark Roast is out of this world.

What a great find! Super friendly, homey service, you can tell they really care and that means a lot. She made sure I got my esspresso just the way I like it and I’ve had the breakfast bagel and crossiant- both excellent! Going to go back to try the sandwiches next time. Just finished the truffle Nanaimo bar she makes from scratch and my god, it’s delicoius. Highly recommend, you must visit!
