Stumbling upon a German bakery is always a pleasant surprise, because that often means poppy seed! ;) Yes, there is usually a wider selection here including Canadian classics like Nanaimo bars, squares and carrot cakes, but it's so nice when I find such treats as poppy seed squares and plum cakes, both of which I love and enjoyed here.... "Mimi's Cake Tour"

I get my lunch at the bakery - its always delicious and always made fresh, Helen makes the best sandwiches, (and Peter too even if he does cut the buns weird haha ) they have wonderful soups and the BEST buns... an endless amount of sweet treats... and Fridays they have bbq! if you have not been, you should definitely make an effort... favourites are : pecan pie, sausage rolls, meat pies, pea soup, custom sandwiches, brownies, and turnovers.... all the cookies... eclairs...enjoy!

We used to drive up from Victoria a couple times a year just to grab a couple meat pies and pastery desserts to relax either there or at the beach or bring to AirBnb's in the area. Not only are the staff always welcoming and amazing. It's the atmosphere of small town, recognizable faces and a peaceful air. The baked goods are always fresh and always tasty. One of our favorites in the entire Qualicum area.

amazing service and food. highly recommend to anyone living in qualicum Beach or visiting. had a really good sandwich and followed that up with a lemon tart and apple fritter. the lemon tart was te best I've ever had and the apple fritter was awesome. the sandwich was really good as well. Get there and try this place now you won't be disappointed.

My family picked up a variety of things for a late lunch - fried chicken, sausage rolls, Cornish pasties, and a piece of pear cheesecake. Everything was AMAZING! My eldest son walked back to the bakery to get more chicken because he loved it so much!

First time to the bakery, picked up bread and a couple of Fritters, tried both later and was surprised they were stale. First and last time. Just moved here, will need to look elsewhere.
