What a disappointment. I’m a vegan who loves natural markets but this place is horrific. Not because of the products but because of their management and staff. I have never been treated so poorly in a store in my life. They guilted me for bringing a return for a product that I mistakenly purchased the previous day saying that “do you think that’s nice for these small businesses that you’re returning a product?” And “we don’t make any money here” ... like what?? Why on earth are you telling me these statements and making me feel so bad for making a little mistake where I had the unopened product with the receipt. Seriously, try the store just to see how terrible their customer service is... and they wonder why they don’t make any money. (Even is their products are at least 20% more than Whole Foods)

Medical mask exemptions is a mask exemption. Face shields are not replacements. Any business that claims they're natural health, then follows sickcare fake science guidelines is not a health store.

This is an excellent store. Just going in makes a person want to eat healthier. They have a great selection of plant based "meats", which I love. There is always staff asking if help is needed which is rare these days. This is a one stop shop for all groceries and health food items.

It's pretty disappointing to see that you guys won't accept mask exemptions. This is discrimination and always remember that policy isn't law. You still have to follow the law. There are many people that can't wear masks or face shields due to medical conditions and you not allowing them in your store due to their conditions is discrimination and will lead to human right complaints and law suits. You as a health store should know that masks don't work and shields don't work at all so that doesn't make any sense. I'm just giving you guys my opinion as this is non sense what your business is doing. ????

I've heard so many great stories about the specialty items that Pomme carries but that it's expensive. I thought I would give it a shot and check it out with my family. Everything was so expensive. Even their sale items were more then Save on Foods and Naked Naturals. Super disappointing as it's alway nice to find good food but not at that expense Won't be returning unless Pomme loweres their prices and compete with their competitors.

Prices are high but they do have lots of sales. An excellent placed for your hippie heart. Many organic natural food Alternatives gluten-free vegan. Essential oils, multivitamins protein, salt lamps etc! So much Variety in this store!! The smoothies are a high price but organic and absolutely delicious. Lots of nice dairy options, or dairy alternatives. This store features a lot of natural and organic products for personal use and home use that you won't find another stores.

The manager Doug Ross treated me very poorly. I was surprised that a natural health store would be so closed minded in regards to this false pandemic. Despite that I have a medical note from my doctor and being perfectly healthy, he insisted that I wear a mask. Most stores know that legally they must make an exception, but apparently Ross is unaware of the laws and sovereign rights, to be treated without prejudice.

20% off sale the last Wednesday of every month can be quite a savings, especially when it comes to those expensive supplements. They have many staff working on those days, eager to help people find things. Also several stands where you can try samples. But it's so crowded and the lineups for checkout are long and slow on these days. It's the only day I go though because items are too expensive for me at the regular prices.

I love this place, lots of organic items and a great selection of natural remedies. I only wish they had more produce, but then again, since it's all organic perhaps this is all that's available right now. I have to say, I've been buying almonds in bulk at regular stores and usually mix 1/2 salted with 1/2 plain, but the raw natural almonds found here are so tasty, they don't need anything. That's the way it should be, and I'm sure I'll be finding all sorts of other wonderful stuff as I continue to shop here.

Although prices and selection are decent, I was shocked to see staff working without masks in the back of the store while multiple customers were shopping without masks and being greeted in a friendly fashion by the staff at the front of the store (who were wearing masks) without any mention of the need to wear a mask being mentioned. This on the day that restrictions are being brought back in in force just before Christmas for the Omicron variant. There are too many other shopping options available to risk going here.

Look up the word "exemption" if you're having trouble with the definition. To discriminate against mental health is something you will never come back from, blood on your hands. Falling for this ridiculous farce. Enjoy your human rights complaints, human rights tribunal just upped the fines from $32k to $72k. Since we moved to Nanaimo from Vancouver late last year we have made Pomme our source for everything organic. Prices are very reasonable for organic groceries. Some reviewers write that Pomme is expensive. Of course it is, if you are comparing Pomme's organic produce to conventional produce. Obviously this isn't a reasonable comparison. If you are content with buying conventional then Pomme isn't the place for you. Prices at Pomme are much cheaper than equivalent stores in Vancouver - Whole Foods, Choices etc. Staff is friendly. Quality are variety of produce is excellent.

Very dissatisfied with Pomme. I have been shopping there for years and have usually enjoyed my experience. I recently had some concerns and I wrote to Craig who I believe is part owner of Pomme. Some time has lapsed since I wrote and I have not heard anything from him about my concerns. I would rather shop at a place where my concerns are at least addressed.

Lost my a loyal customer due to discrimination. I have a medical exemption. Businesses cannot discriminate based on grounds like race, religion, creed, physical disability, mental disability, etc. If you think the 'Compensation Act. Under' gives you grounds to be discriminatory, so be it. "legal obligation to keep your employees safe" Educate yourself about what is actually going on in the world. All you people are living in fear, it's sad. If a legal obligation to keep your employees safe is your excuse, I'm glad to not shop here anymore! You will loose many customers.

Great. They can get most anything you need but I have noticed their prices to be quite reasonable. I recently bought a bag of organic lemons and found them quite tasty and extremely well priced. Believe it was 4.50 or so for a large bag of 8-9 lemons.

I love this store but have been disappointed that staff continue to not wear masks. At this point it’s been recommended at all indoor public places. Most customers wear them, but I’ve only seen one staff member. Other local store staff and retail stores generally have staff wearing masks. The odd ones might not and I don’t go back to those ones. The attitude here about mask wearing is discouraging and sadly I might be taking my business elsewhere including to online shopping which I dread. I understand some can’t wear them for medical reasons, but to told it’s “personal preference” is a different matter.If local businesses want shoppers I hope they all start having staff wear masks until things improve. This store is small, construction was going on and none of those workers wore masks either. I won’t go back unless I hear things have changed. It’s unfortunate as it’s a great store. I suggest changing the website Covid protocol for Pomme as the stores seem to do their own thing.
