Absolutely love this lil bakery Super friendly owners and staff. Everything we have tried here is delicious but our favourite is the raisin cinnamon buns with cream cheese! Also their prices are extremely reasonable. A must try for sure.

Our second visit to Qualicum this year taking advantage of the pace and weather Discovered Nana and Papas last visit and have returned several times for their great selection and tasty treats and breads. Breads, buns, scones and awesome cinnamon buns. This is a great find for some great products and not to forget the great folks that own and run this operation

I have been on the search for the perfect Boston Cream filled Long John for a long time now. Today my quest reached its end at Papa and Nana’s bakery. From the first bite to the last my taste buds were enjoying the seemingly endless amount of Boston cream mixed with light and fluffy dough and a sweet topping of chocolate. I just stopped by Nana & Papas for the first time. What a delight. The counter person was super enthusiastic and friendly and helped me choose a few treats ...among them the very best date square I've ever had! I couldn't finish it, and will have to wait till tomorrow for the other half. There is a good array of different pastries, savory and sweet too. I think they have bread, but i was blinded by the pastries, so I'm not sure!

I mean, I survived off of their bread for over 3 months because #Poverty so that should speak for itself right there. Cheap as hell and their I guess more baked stuff (ie sausage rolls, custer rolls and what not) are great. I can't honestly complain much other then that annoying debit terminal :P

Fresh baked yummy stuff, usually a lineup and they have to keep baking throughout the day to keep up with demand. Small no frills store, very sustainable, no plastic packaging, friendly folk. Highly recommended.

been there twice now good products and services, they write the names of product on the glass case, why not the prices at the same time, I dont carry a lot of cash when I walk and hate having to ask EVERY price,,, like grandma says if you have to ask the price , you cant afford it!

I would give more stars as their products are good, but I do not like to shop at places that will not take the time to show us prices. Clients should be able to see description or title and price, otherwise its very uncomfortable.

I stopped on the weekend for a loaf of whole wheat bread (fresh, moist and delicious!) 8 cookies, and a sausage roll. The total came to $15 but I have no idea how it breaks down. So that is my only complaint - the bakery needs to display prices and also brief descriptions of what the items are. For example, there were various pastries but I couldn't tell what the fillings were without asking about each one. Ditto for the cookies etc. Just a small sign that can be written on with a grease pencil and reused over and over, like most bakeries display. That would be helpful for customers. Otherwise, I enjoyed everything I bought, thank you, and I'll be back!

Stumbled across this place during our trip to Parksville. Wonderful bakery with so many yummy options. We bought cinnamon buns, scones and strudel and all were great! Still lots of product on the shelf late in the day after skiing, so it looks like the good word needs to get out to the locals. I hope they start visiting to keep this little local business going.
