OMG MANGO with a capital "M-A-N-G-O" it is so vividly and freshly tasting of delicious mangos!!! My first whole pie from Half Baked Cookie Company and they nailed it! At the same time I purchased their bumbleberry pie which I put into the freezer, and their ginger & cardamon shortbread cookies are delicious. Open on Sundays which helps me tremendously as I work 6 days a week. Next pie? Definitely the key lime pie :)

I got their matcha green tea shortbread cookies from Whole Foods. A lot of green tea cookies out there doesn't have any green tea taste, but theirs is full of matcha flavour, enough for you to taste but not overpowering to leave a bitter after taste. Just fantastic.

I love pie. I am happy to engage in hour long conversations about pie. This place pies! Buttery, flaky yet perfectly foundational crust, mile high filling (touching the top of the box!), just the perfect amount of sweetness and the right amount of heft. DELICIOUS. If I wasn't so worried about my budding waistline and floating cholesterol in my blood, I'd have a pie every week! I'd be a terrible person if I didn't try their cookies given that they're the namesake. I might have purchased half a dozen on a whim, and distributed them to friends but of the two I ate, crispy edges, soft chewy centers and fluffy disposition. Excellent cookies with unique flavours. My only time qualm is that the cookies on the outside appear as if they'd be very crunchy, and for soft cookie lovers like myself, could be turned away from them. Silly, I know, but I ALMOST walked away, and I'd have been so very sad to not have tried them. All in all, WONDERFUL experience, and kind, welcoming, and attentive customer service. A+

It’s like walking into your best friend’s kitchen and she makes you pies all day. The pies are SO good. You don’t taste sugar. You taste flavours. The pie crush - thin and flakey but very crunchy still. Had the chocolate peanut butter pie today and my eyes rolled back so many times because it was so good. Sad that I had to share. The owners are so friendly. We love this place and it’s worth the 30-min drive on the weekends for their treats. Shortbread. Pies. Cookies. ALL GOOD!

Let me start by saying I am not a pie person, I will pick a slice of cake over a pie any day. My partner loves pies and that's how I came across half baked cookie company few years ago. Now, I check weekly what the pie menu is, if there is flavor we haven't try, we will get their combo pie, and the two of us can finish the whole pie in less than two days. I love this place ????

Half baked is my favourite neighbourhood pie shop. Honestly, the best in the city. I’m never disappointed when I leave. There’s always a variety of pies to choose from - each one is so flavourful and most importantly the pie crust, so flakey and light. I think I’ve tried almost every type they offer! Oh and their cookies, well they’re worth the visit too. My favourite is the malted Malaysian. Cheryl and her team always give A+ customer service with a smile. The POG pie reminds me of Hawaii, and is to die for! Same with the Haupia pie. Some of the other ones I thought were only okay (lemon tasted like an average lemon pie, London fog was strangely eggy). But the ones that were good were amazing!

Bullet points: * Good specialty coffee * Cookies were OK * Didn't get to try the pies which out them on the map We came through because we were in the area and needed to get some dessert to serve with dinner. Got a nice hazelnut latte to go and some cookies to take home. The coffee was nice. They make their syrups in house and the latte was nicely balanced. The cookies that we took away were good but not anywhere close to cookies from places like Hello Robin in Seattle. They were a little flat (maybe the fat balance in the batter is off) and had a bit more chew than I'd like. Though the cookies were ok, I definitely will come back go try one of their pies and give an update to the review. I hear the recommended one is their haupia pie.

Stopped in one day on recommendation from some friends that work in the area. Went in for the cookies and ended up walking out with them, as well as some baked meat pies. Cute little place on Nanaimo. Went on a snowy day and got two cookies. The shop is nice and clean, quite inviting. Staff and owner were both friendly. Will go back to try their pies if I have the chance. The only downside is it is kind of in a neighborhood that doesn’t have much going on, so you really have to make a trip just for them.

I won't comment on the food, because it would only be redundant for me to reiterate just how awesome the goods are here. Instead, I'll say that the people that work here (including the owner and her husband) are really great people. When you visit the place, it's not just to order what you want and then leave/eat. They take the time to converse and know the people who walk in and out of the shop. So beyond their friendliness, I'm confident to say that because they do take the time to know a little bit of you, a lot of care and attention goes into the product that they make. You really get a great combo of eating some truly delicious treats and interacting with the people. THIS IS WHAT SUPPORTING LOCAL looks like. It's one thing to buy local simply to show support. But it's another to support people that treats you as a familiar on top of providing you with a great product.

This company kept popping up on my Instagram explore page and I kept meaning to make my way over to their shop - but rarely find myself in East Van. For Thanksgiving weekend, I decided to pre-order a pumpkin pie from them for my boyfriend and I. He has no appetite for sweets, but he LOVED this pie. We paired it with London Fog ice cream from Earnest Ice Cream - it was delicious. Their baking has a lot of flavor and the crust was like a French pastry all on it's own. Flakey and buttery and thick, it was perfect. When I showed up on Sunday to pick up my pie, the staff were in great spirits considering how insanely busy they were. They had a mountain of pre-order pies, so kudos to them for making it through a tough weekend with smiles on their faces. I am looking forward to trying more of their treats in the future!

Everything is amazing - from the owner/head baker to the food! Warm, friendly and inviting - the selection of pies is always different and new and interesting (the matcha & red bean *heart eyes* coffee & dulce de leche *drool*) The biscuits are buttery and savoury and crunchy and soft all at the same time and then with apple butter and jam, wowee.. and if you go on the right day you can get them with eggs & bacon!!!! & the shortbread cookies are so tasty, I could probably eat an entire jar of the coconut flavour in one sitting 10/10 would recommend.

Went there for their pie day special. We got there at opening time and there is a long line up already. Not sure if this is the norm or because of the pie day promo. They have many different selections of pies, some not so usual flavour that you would associate with pie such as Milo, POG, milktea flavour..etc. we got POG, mango mousse, and Nutella banana. The pie isn't too sweet, great fruit flavours. I would def. Go back and try others. They also sell cookies, bread, scones but we didn't try this time. Perhaps next trip.

I brought my favorite pie, the pumpkin haupia pie, to my family's thanksgiving dinner; let's just say everyone was fighting for the last piece. Subtle, but complex. I love this place! I try to make it there once every weekend since I live close by. I always get the breakfast sandwiches, but the cookies and other savoury snacks are very good as well. I haven't had any of their pies, but I would definitely come here if that's what I was after. Most of all, the staff here is just very lovely. I'll recommend this place to anyone; it's not on the main walking routes but well worth the detour!

Big fans of everything this place makes! Shortbread cookies and pie cretions are addictive and they make great gifts that everyone loves. They have some unique pie flavors but my absolute favorites are the fruit pies especially if it has creme fraiche ???? . Quiche is delicious and they do not skimp out on the bacon. On top of the great food, excellent and super friendly staff makes this place one of our favorites in Vancouver!

I had the Boston Banana Cream Pie, it was okay. However the matcha white chocolate cookie was a delight. I would definitely return to try their other items.

This is a great local bakery. All the pies are delicious. We just had their Mountain Berry pie today, lots of fruit and very tasty pastry. The cookies are also excellent. I love the Malaysian Malted Chocolate and the Oatmeal Chocolate Pecan. It is well worth a visit!

The pie is okay, but I am not overly excited about it. Also quite pricey per slice. I would just like to update my review. As the owner has responded, I embarrassed to admit, that I didn't realize that the products were of such high quality ingredients. I'm usually a bit better at taking note of these kind of things. I should have asked, and I should have been aware that the ingredients were of such quality. I do like the fact that they are located right next to a dentist! That is always made me laugh.

Have you ever tried to get key lime pie in Vancouver? Most places brag about how their pie is "sweet, not sour". That's not key lime pie. Calamansi Lime at Half Baked is also technically not key lime pie, yet it is perfectly balanced sour-sweet like key lime should be. A delicious treat & rare find. Thank you! Half Baked Cookie Company makes high quality baked goods. I especially love the pies. The crust is flaky and buttery; it is so good sometimes I eat the top crust before I eat the filling. The plum pie they made in the fall was tart and luscious. The Chocolate Haupia Pie is so creamy and each layer is distinct in flavour. When my friend told me about Half Baked pies I thought 'what is the big deal about pie?" Now I am hooked on pie and check the website weekly to see what is on the menu. Cheryl and her staff give excellent customer service too. OK, got to go and check this week's pie flavours.

At this time of year I search out new locations for pumpkin pie. Ended up leaving with four different slices... Chocolate Haupia made me feel like I was in Hawaii, Sea to Sky was smooth and decadent, Pumpkin Cheesecske was fantastic, and Pumpkin pie is one of my favourites yet!! And the crust was one of the best I’ve had. Thank you.

Best cookies in Vancouver hands down. Highly recommend the malted Malaysian cookie, unlike anything I’ve ever had. Their chocolate chip and shortbread cookies are top notch too!

You can taste the delicious BUTTER in all their baked goods. Amazing cookies and rotating selection of dessert pies (try the haupia or Island time).

YUMMMMMM ???? How did I not know about this place earlier!! I tried the chocolate peanut butter pie ???????????????????????? It satisfied my craving for a peanut butter cookie ???? Their pies are delicious! My favourites include the Sea-to-Sky and the classic apple pie. Oh, also their shortbread cookies are out of this world delicious! Highly addictive and highly recommend!

Always good stuff every time I'm here, need to check their website to see when you're favorite pie is available since they rotate their various pies throughout the week. Sorry, had to take 1 star away since they're closed on Mondays.
