Great little market. I have seen it a few times but never remember to stop until this last time and I am glad I did. The store owners and employees were very friendly, the layout was nice, the produce fresh and delicious- some of the best corn I've had. I also enjoyed the baked goods, the bread was delicious and I'll definitely buy more. They even hav an ice cream bar. We bought some, it was delicious and we enjoyed it at one of their onsite picnic tables with our daughter. Would recommend to anyone.

Always so friendly, with fresh baked goods and a good variety of local produce. Prices are competitive, often much better than the grocery store. A little awkward to access, so plan your route before you head out.

On one of our regular jaunts to Ladysmith to dine at Mr. Teriyaki and Miss Sushi, we stopped in at the Cassidy Farm Market & Deli across from the Nanaimo Airport, which is a lovely little market with a wide variety of farm fresh produce, fresh baked goods, and assorted locally sourced products. The pies, cookies, and pastries were homemade awesomeness, there is a small deli counter to browse, and the produce comes from local farms, including grapes from local wineries, such as, champagne and pinot noir. I've never tried winery grade grapes before and must say that they are quite addictive, far more delicate and sweet in flavour. The produce is what you would come to expect from a higher caliber farmer's market. The folks running the market are warm and friendly. During the summer months, we plan to shop for our produce here when we are in the area. It's definitely worth a trip down to Ladysmith to drop in and have a look.

I've been coming here for years. It's always a nice visit. The fruit and the meat pies are delicious, so very convenient if you've had a busy day. Good quality produce, fresh bread, dairy and some prepared meats as well. They carry a decent selection of Chinese food items. I often buy frozen wontons here, along with all the veggies to make wonton soup at home.

I love this farmers market, it has everything always when I need it. The owners run this market as well. They are very knowledgeable about the local produce that they sell. prices are good, I love that there is local produce.

Ok market, prices are quite a bit higher than the Old Farm Market in Duncan and unfortunately the blackberry/apple pie I bought on Tuesday was not very good at all.....it had the consistency of a pie that was previously frozen. I'll give it another try and get the Summerberry one this time.

An excellent little market and feel for the local community in the cedar/cassidy. A nice selection of fresh fruit and vegetables along with prepackaged foods and snacks. There is also a wonderful little deli with daily made fresh sandwiches, western style Chinese food, Korean delicacies, and fresh homemade pies. My personal favorite item is their Onion and Jalapeno pickle. Yum!

Don't let the awkward entrance and return to the highway get to you: Stopping for the pies and other locally-grown produce is worth it. The peppers are different than the ones you'd find at the supermarket. a little bit less expensive and a lot more delicious. The service and conversation from the ever-friendly owners is also just as excellent. If you're driving south, you really should make a point of stopping by and seeing for yourself.
