Always a pleasure when I get to come here. The coffee and baked goods are great. Certainly one of if not the best bakery in Nanaimo. They also frequently bring their goods to local farmers markets which is where I was first introduced. I recommend the danish and taking home a nice loaf of fresh bread.

Discovered Bodhi's Bakery at the Cedar Farmer's Market today... "after" I had run out of cash. *arg*. But after a brief chit chat with the fellow running the booth (owner perhaps?) he offered me an I.O.U.! Really? Wow, color me impressed! The Sourdough Red Fife I picked out was heavenly - and impossible to find anywhere else in town. If I could give 6 stars, I totally would. Kudos to you my .. new found ..friend.

Unpretentious, delectable, artisanal bakery that is a must visit every morning we wake up in Nanaimo. Everything is insane but the bread and butter pudding and savory croissants are my faves. My one and only complaint is that they aren't open every day!

Went here today to pick up treats for the office. I want to apologize to the two men that served us, since it was obvious that we were bothering them. Sorry for entering your business and purchasing 2 boxes of treats. Sorry for asking questions, because we were not sure what things were - there is no tags on anything. First time here and will not be back. We have not tried the deserts yet, but regardless how good they are, the way you treat your costumers will always trump. Shame on them for making us feel small.

One of the best places for cinnamon buns in the city. We also had an eclair, and the lemon curd tart. I took out a star because they don't have a bathroom in the store. And we couldn't find the one on site. Safe, friendly atmosphere. The cappuccinos also looked great, we didn't have one to taste.

If you're looking for the best sourdough in town, your search ends here. The sourdoughs are to die for, and the quality is consistanty high. I love Cobb's, too, but Chef Clay has perfected the art. Service for coffee can be a bit slow, but that's only because Bhodi's insists on making it fresh. Simply outstanding.

After moving from Vancouver we found it difficult to find a great place to not only get an awesome latte but a place where they offered fresh, not mass produced baked items . We happened upon Bodhi’s and WOW! They have awesome, not bitter , coffee, FRESH, limited supply in-house baking and a lovely rustic atmosphere. We feel at home here. Please stay away as it’s busy enough ! ????

You never need to buy bread in a supermarket. The crusts and softness baked the same day can't be beat...and strangely the cost is similar to Oroweat. Stop for a latte and fresh croissant. Yum. Gluten at its best!

We live in the area and frequently walk or bicycle to Bodhi's for coffee and pastries. It is our favourite bakery in Nanaimo, as it is for many of our neighbours. Prices are very reasonable and service is friendly. They have outdoor seating and serve you from a window during the pandemic. They are also at the Bowen Road and Cedar farmers markets.

Love the atmosphere, especially in summer when a person can enjoy the outside deck! Latte's are the best! Every pastry that I've tried is magnificent! My only suggestion would be that take out coffee's be another size larger, too allow more room for coffee since many times it feels like I have a cup of foam and too little coffee. ????

Great spot for coffee with a tough choice between breakfast pastries, awesome muffins or fabulous croissants. Their lunch sandwiches are also fantastic. You're equally hard-pressed to choose between the dozen or so types of bread on offer. Decidedly worth a venture up Rutherford hill, in either direction!

Rant alert! Went in today to pick up my usual order and was left very disappointed. After having used the till, and touching who knows what else, the worker bagged my food order with his bare hands. . No paper sheet-thingy, just dirty fingers directly on the food. One can assume with that kind of carelessness he likely hadn't washed his hands recently. Perhaps the owner/manager should have a refresher meeting with their staff to go over the most basic of food handling precautions...and then maybe kick the safety up a notch for that pesky thing that's got the world turned upside down- covid-19. I love bodhi's, but until covid is behind us, I'll be avoiding places like this.. what if dude was unknowingly sick while bagging hundreds of orders? I'd hate to bring covid home to my loved ones.. Bottom line- who uses bare hands to bag pastries after running a till?
