Cosy, cute, french coffee/dep/bakery at metro Sherbrooke. The place looks and feels authentic and is owned privately. They have a lot of rare imported goods from Europe (mostly France), a great selection of cold cuts which you can taste in the delicious homemade sandwiches. They also have the frenchiest selection of cakes I've seen in Montreal (that Paris Brest looked delicious, and if you don't know what it is look it up ???? ) which will make every French cry inside a bit. Also, that dining room has a very distinctive ambiance. All that is missing is the smoke lingering in the air and voila, you're back in Paris before the 1940's. Enjoy.

One of the best if not the best bakery in town. The pastries and cakes are just delicious. Strongly recommended. They do have fresh bread that I recommend as well as tasty charcuterie. Very french! There's also a small grocery shop with European products mainly. They follow the social distancing rules (wash your hands, social distance when in line, and at the cash)

I'm an anglo with a love for some particular French pastries. So when I made a trip to Montreal, I looked for patisseries that would meet my needs. This place had reviews like "rude", and "they yelled at me for asking for cupcakes". So, I knew I found the right place. The quality was excellent. The religieuses were on par with Paris. The owner/manager was quite nice to me, probably because I struggled along in French (they gave me the bathroom key when they figured I was looking for where it was).

Excellent Fraisier, like you may eat in France, real almond paste (not aromated) on top of white cream muslin, cake and strawberry. The positive: cream is not too sweet neither fat. The negative: a bit expensive.
