I was looking for Julius coffee and the only place that serves it in Montreal is Louise Boulangerie. It's a nice bakery with lots of freshly baked goods and a large selection at a reasonable price. There's two benches to sit by the window. They also sell the coffee in individual packages.

I was drawn in here because of the delicious smell of baked goods wafting out on to the sidewalk. I got bread, an almond chocolatine, and some kouign amann. The bread was great, the pastries were good but not great. Not my favorite bakery in Montreal, but perfectly acceptable if you are in the neighborhood.

This place has been sitting on my list for a while, finally tried it out. Cheese ham croissant ???? is sooo good, crispy croissant with a big slice of ham inside. For dessert, I got chocolate bread pudding, it was not over-sweet and the texture is moist & chewy !

You know how every bakery has its own scent? Louise has this amazing scent that permeates everything they make - it's a kind of smoky and deep scent that works well in everything from their bread to amazing sweet things, such as their almond cake, which is just tops. The secret weapon here (imma share it but leave some for me) is their house-made croutons. They used their own bread (probably the very few loaves that don't sell in time) and the end result (especially with the dark break croutons) is a crunch paradise. Yum.

The bread was good. The dry tomato bread was great. If I was rating the bread only, I would have give 4 stars. The bakery realty brought down the rating. The apple pie was not very flaky. The flavor was more on plain side. As for the sugar pie, the sugar part was ok but the crust wasn’t burn but close to be burn. It was dry and taste a fade burn taste. Go for the bread ????

Brioche is so good, probably perfect for French toast. Great place to stop while exploring little Italy. There isn’t really seating inside but it makes a perfect grab and go spot. Super reasonably priced and staff was really patient while I contemplated which brioche to get. I’ll definitely be back for the double(!) chocolate loaf.

Ce goût n'est peut être pas pour tout le monde, en tout cas ça se rapproche davantage de ce qu'il y a en France! Mes chouchou sont le pain au chocolat aux amandes (tellement gourmand!!) et leur biscuit palmier! Il faut une excellente pâte feuilletée pour qu'un palmier soit croustillant et avec du goût, et ça clairement toutes les boulangerie n'en sont pas capables! C'est mon test personnel ;) On sent qu'il y a de l'amour dans ces produits, bravo et merci :)

Brought home a lemon pie because the price was quite good. It was a disaster pie. The meringue was not cooked enough and there was too much. The crust was bleh and a little overcooked. And the thin layer of lemon curd was actually awful. It tasted like chemicals and was not at all lemony sour. Even if all other elements failed, get the curd right. Please change your lemon pie or take it off the menu. I will say that the staff was kind and the bread seems fine.

Louise has amazing choice in many different delicate breads and pastries. You can taste the love and quality ingredients and when it comes to the chocolate almond croissants, they are one my favorites in the city. Very generous and extremely decadent. Always great service, I would advice you come early because they can sell out in the afternoons. Ce qui me renforce encore plus est le 4eme item gratuit (technique de vente de volume tres rependue dans les boulangeries industrielles). Pour finir en mode solution, je vous propose de tester pas trop loin Le Pain dans les Voiles ou Joe La Croute (cash only), de mon point de vue, deux excellentes boulangeries !
