Hard To Give Sobeys A Good Rating Now A Days... Their Products Are Seriously Over Priced And The "Deals" Are Never Worth it. Plus They Don't Price Match. I Also Find Most Employees Lack The Basic Knowledge Required To Run Their Departments Properly. Also, The Managers Are Not Helpful. I Almost Bought A Product That Had A BB Date From YEARS Ago. They Didn't Follow Up With It Or Publicly Acknowledge That They Don't Rotate Stock Properly. Seems The Issue With Sobeys Is Upper Management Forcing Impossible Sales Targets On Their Departments All The While Not Switching Up Managers To Different Stores Properly Resulting In Stores That Have Had The Same Managers For 20 Years.

Was there with my stepson and he always loves looking at the lobsters. The girl working behind the counter came out and talked to him and answered all his questions. Then to his delight she asked if he wanted to hold one! She gave him some gloves and he held the lobster . I thought this was the best thing as did he. When we left he said it was a very special day. A much nicer experience to shop at then the location close by in Champlain Mall. The store is smaller with all the main grocery items and none of the fluff. The staff are very friendly, the produce is usually fantastic, and the deli and bakery sections are exceptional. Highly recommended.

Worked at this place for a week. Night supervisor named darren burris turned out to be a bully talked about the another employes behind thier backs. No education on how to talk to other workers talking down to me as if i was suppose to know everything. Mocking me. Terrible employee. Should be terminated immediately, but, unfprtunately as most people know it doesnt work out the way they say it does on paper. I wouldnt recommend applying at this place. Shameful

This is a review of all Sobeys not just the Paul St location. We went in to pick up a cooked chicken last night, when we got to the deli counter we were confronted with 2 types of cooked chicken, the new non-GMO/Steroid free type and the regular chicken we have always got. I asked the clerk what it was all about and he said the obvious about the non-GMO but added that the regular one was poison that we had been eating and being poisoned for years. "wow" . These are 2 different prices 13.99 and 11.49 respectively. So i thought to myself, why wouldn't Sobeys take the high road and only offer the non-GMO. The impression this gave me was if you are fairly well off Sobeys would offer you the good product or if you were no so well off or on a fixed income it was OK to poison you with the lesser product. Once again "wow" This is brain dead at its best.

Horrible service. Person in front had two items, rang in one, decided he did not want it. I had to wait while he wandered around for five minutes, even though no other items were rung in. Asked the cashier to ring in my two items, she refused. Will shop at Superstore from now on.
