Very feiendly staff. Great Filipino bread! I highly recommend cheese pimiento! AMD spanish bread
Great place to buy Filipino bakeries
Bakery with all your Filipino staples like pandesal, taro (ube) bread, ensaymada, cheese bread along with bread, pastries and other colourful desserts you may not find elsewhere. Individual treats are well priced, but some of the packaged stuff gets up there in terms of cost. In my opinion, the highlight has to be their deep-fried, sugar soaked balls (carioca). - Mimi's Cake Tour
The cheese bread rolls and ube rolls r the best in there
Valerio's is a Filipino bakery that has a variety of bread and Filipino desserts. They have tasty pandesal, ensaymada and bibingka. They also have bitso2x, turon, empanada, Spanish bread, leche flan and more.
Filipino bakery with many selections.
Great selection of sweet buns and pastries perfect for a quick stop to pick up what you need.
Yummy empanada!

I didn't visit Valerio's but went to Jolibee
Good
Nice open concept that let's you flow from one tasty treat to another. Many different varieties of buns and sweets. Beautiful colors catch the eye from one area to the next. It smells so nice in here, the staff are nice and pleasant as well and will help you out and ensure that you are well taken care of. Have been here a couple times now and the area keeps growing. Lots to see now..
great filipino bakery in mississauga love the purple yam filling on some bread especially the bullilit breads????
Come for their freshly baked sweet bread
I always crave for their cheese bulilit bread.. and the cheese pimiento... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.. AND I can say, it is for sure, a MUST try.... so soft.. so HEAVEN... Sooooo Cheeeeeeeesssyyy. ***TIP: YOU CAN BUY THE CHEESE PIMENTO SPREAD. IT IS AVAILABLE AT THE COUNTER...
They have classic Pinoy treats such as bibinka, maruya, ensaymada and others. Try the Haba-haba for $5.99 though. It's delicious! I have it with my afternoon coffee and I'm set. I also highly suggest the Cheese Bulilits which are small bite-sized cheese pimiento sandwiches. Yum!
I just bought ube hopia this morning. Tonight, I took a bite, its already has molds. Holy Moldy. I ask my mom not to eat it. We threw it away.
Amazing Filipino bakery in the area. They offer a wide variety of Filipino baked goods from different regions. They are fresh - so fresh that they package/bag them while you're paying. They do offer a small amount of savoury goods but mostly sweets and bread. I specially love their pimento flavored "Bulilit" and cheese balls (sooo good). Everyone need to try them.
Oh the sweet smell of fresh baked bread... my weakness. Lots of baked goods available. Pricing wasn't very noticeable on most items but was very clean. I'll certainly be back.
Bakery offers all kinds of Filipino bread & sweet made with Ube. Snacks & bread items are pricy .
Busy place.. they have a large variety of yummy baked goods! Steamed and Baked siopao, cheese bulilits, lecheflan, empanadas, pandesal...
Interesting Filipino bakery, they had many baked goods from sweet to savoury. I really liked the desserts with ube. Staff were very friendly and helpful in providing suggestions. Definitely will return to try more things.
Their cheese pimiento bread and so good! they also have freshly made goods onsite.
Great pans
Everything is fresh
Social distancing is not being followed…
Best yellow mung beans-filled hopia ever! Great variety and selection. Prices tend to be on the slightly higher end.
Delicious Filipino bakery. I love their products. Top quality.
Love the pandesal! So moist and fluffy. Spanish bread is a bit dry and lacks stuffing.
Plenty of options and very delicious !!
Love those little Ube sandwich thingy
Just saw this place at heartland and decided to check it out. The place smells heavenly when you enter. They have all the traditional Filipino baked goods. We tried a cheese roll which was basically cream cheese and sugar on a roll and it was tasty. There were a lot of varieties of pandesal and bullits. We picked up the cheese pandesal and a cream dulce roll, both of which are delicious! They had little milk candy samples which i don't remember the name of and they were sooo good!! Many items were sold out by the time we got there, so I'm curious to see what else is there and try some new items next time.
Hope you would let customers know that you are charging us for the boxes/containers
Delicious variety of bread
(Translated) The price is expensive ,,, the breads are delicious, the empanada is also ok, (Original) May pagka mahal ang presyo,,, masarap ang mga tinapay, ung empanada ay ok din,
The best bakery in the world.
Best Filipino Bakery in ONTARIO. sooooooo goood. Get the ube and cheese buns
cheeseballs are bomb!!! :)
Delicious freshly baked breads. Cheese balls shown in yhe picture, and also got the cheese bulilits and they were both soooo good.
Amazing place to be!!! Especially if u miss home ????
Bought this pastry on the 12th Feb due to expire on 15th. Kids got stomach ache and vomiting find out its molded. Return the molded pastry on the bakeshop the following day, asking for a gas compensation ( since its a drive there), No they won't. They offered anything on their bakery instead, I declined since I learned from Asst Mgr that they have several complain with molds. The emotional stress when a parent see's their kid got sick only to find out its food molds.
Pastries galore and their good.
(Translated) Adobo pork pandesal, umm yes (Original) Adobo pork pandesal, umm yes
Smells amazing when you walk in. Have never been disappointed with my purchases here.
Lots of ube and cheese options. We got these little ube buns and they were delicious and moist - not too sweet! Gonna be little more adventurous next time and try their cheese buns :)
Fresh pandesal. No other words needed
Everything I have tasted is so good.
The store was hard to navigate and understand what most of the items were besides the obvious names. Prices were fair & the quality of the baked goods was nice. The Ube, purple sweet potato is great.
Cute Filipino-run shop with a lot of history and heart! The variety is staggering and everything from pan de sal to siopao and even hopia is served here. All are made fresh on-site, and all are nice comfort food. Plenty of parking too - and the aunties that work there are very nice. Will definitely return.
This is my favorite bakeshop. All of the stuff they sell is awesome,i always find myself buying alot in here because their bread are amazing because its always fresh!Highly recommended.
Pricey but they got the best purple yam bread !
Line for payment should be different to those who are ordering..
Here are two suggestions: (1) make more of the pork adobo buns and less of the ham amd cheese buns. You run out of the pork adobo buns faster than the ham and cheese. Can't understand how the owners fail to see that there is more demand for the pork adobo buns. Make more of it! Basic retail sense, and basic economics of supply and demand. (2) And what's with the minimum amount before being able to pay with interac? Hello!?!? Ever hear of COVID19? Some people don't want to handle cash!!
Very nice and friendly people. Also quality products, especially that they are close to home foods
Great bakery for your Filipino cravings. A bit disorganized and messy though. Stuff is always fresh and taste amazing.
Your filipino go to spot in the west end! Everything is made fresh and always has long lineups! The cheesebread is heaven!
Great Filipino bakeshop for all classic Filipino baked goods.
Awesome! 2 thumbs up!
Nice products and even nicer staff.
I try to stop by this tropical bakeshop whenever I'm in the area. They have lots of mouth watering delectable pastries. But sometimes the lineup at the counter is very long, but worth the wait.
Been here a few times. Awesome selection of savory and sweet bakes goods. Ube pan de sel is amazing. They do limit the amount of ppl allowed in but it is a quick wait
our favorite is the pandesal
So many tasty delicious treats and baked goods. Filipino pan de sal is so good. They make a whole version which is great. if you are in the area and haven't tried Filipino baked goods stop in and give them a try. So good!
Sumptuous offering of baked goods and delicacies
Good selections but prices a little on the high side
I find this bakery very pricey though the food is nothing special.
Pretty clean place. Its small. I like the selection. The spanish bread we got today wasnt the best. But the fresh pandisal is where its at for me.
(Translated) Asado bun FTW! (Original) Asado bun FTW!
Excellent pastries/bread. Long line, a bit pricey.
Ok
(Translated) Why do they hire or hire hypocritical staff. They will roll their eyes at you or other costumers when they get hurt. Especially for the 2 staffs who have a mole on their face, they just don't know their names. Rude. Yes the costumers are annoying sometimes especially now it's Christmas season but they shouldn't be unfriendly and they should smile they are the faces of your company if they are tired we understand but . Just bought a pandesal with adobo inside. The adobo filling is the size of a quarter. If they're charging @2.25 per pandesal is very wrong, customer beware!!!
Taste ok but not chip =))

Great variety. Very fresh items. Friendly staff
Friendly Staff and good stuff
Fresh bread all day everyday. They sell out of almost everything in the evenings on weekends, so plan on coming earlier during the day and expect long lines. Ask for John Lloyd's ube, best I've ever had. ????
Great pandesal and friendly service.
Taste of pinoy...
Bakery that reminded me of the panaderias in the philippines. Old fashioned but quality is not bad. I bought the ube ensaymada and it was tasty. It's always best when you get the items baked the same day as the the 2 day old bread felt a little dry. The empanada was good too and i would buy that again.
Good Filipino bakery
Didnt visit it , but i heard its good, so i give it 5 stars
A little pricey
A haven of filipino pastry delites.
Best bakery I've tried so far! All baked products are delicious. Soft and fluffy pandesal, cheese bread, ensaymada, etc. Generous in fillings and toppings!
Nice bakery inside seafood city market. Good varieties of baked items.
Great bakeshop
If you love carbs like I do, this place is heaven. My only thing is that I was able to try a Hawaiian haba-haba once and only once. It was unbelievably delicious. Please read this post and make it regularly. Thank you.
Good selection of breads! Makes me miss the Philippines even more!
Very nice staff and their food is always fresh
Love the ube bread and Spanish bread!!
Nice
The service was quick and friendly and the food was pretty good actually I was surprised. It's my new secret spot for Filipino treats
Good food
The best cheese rolls:)
Delicious pinoy pandesal and many more.
Remarkable bakery with lots of fresh variety. Try the pandesal bread... the coconut ones are awesome!
I am a huge fan of this bakeshop but DO NOT LIKE the way they put several electric fans to cool down newly baked items specially their HOT pandesal which is a huge favorite. I do not understand the rationale of selling freshly baked hot pandesal and other breads only to cool it down with electric fans with dusty blades getting sprayed on the food items. What is so hard in cooling them down at room temp? I don't think there is a need to use electric fans to speed up the process of cooling the pandesal or other freshly baked items. In this Corona virus era, I find it unnecessary and unsanitary to have freshly baked items being cooled down with the use of electric fans. Dust particles from the blades itself, micro organism in the air are being circulated in and around the food items, the store and passed on to customers themselves. Also, please don't let your cashiers handle any food items. Doesn't matter if they put on gloves before handling the food. They should keep their hands in processing payments not handling food items. Somehow, some way cross contamination can still occur. You employ enough people so let the cashiers just handle the cash register not the food. Please stop this practices. It is a food establishment and you should apply measures that safeguards the food you sell and the people who buys those.
Everything they sell is just so delicious. I kinda felt like I was back to the Philippines since they have my all time favorites, I even bought some and bring it to bc
Philippine style
Lots of dessert choices!
Delicious Filipino bake goods really brought me back to mu childhood. ❤
Everything tastes good. I gave four stars because of the price.. I think they could still lower the prices. Pandesal and ensaymadas are my favorite!
Good food but expensive.
D'Best pandesal and bakery
Nice, didn't expect such goodies, little too pricey but not bad indeed.
Lovin' their Hot Pandesal Bread
Sweet cheese ball is a must try!
Baked food is delicious very yummy, but staff are not nice! I asked for hot pandesal and the girl told me to get the bagged one on the shelf. People are driving from far away, sometimes for hours, to have a good Seafood city and Valerio's bakeshop experience and you don't want to service people in a patient, attentive way then you shouldn't work there. Talaga! Rude young people. Baked goods are as good as the people that handle them.
The pandesal is great ! Very friendly staff !
Clean and orderly. Staff are helpful and all the baked goods are yummy, the pride of the Philippines.
Love their breads! Good place!
American cheese rolls and pineapple pastries are good. Chicken bun is good too
Pandesal, empanada and many more filipino bake goodies
Something for everyone. Pimento cheese buns, empanadas, Hawaiian bread.... The list goes on. Stop by here after Jollibee and the Philipino market.
Lots of selection and yummy, but they just did a price increase. I think it's too much. From 3.75 to 4.49....
not bad
????????
Baked fresh everyday. Love their cheese bulilits(?)
Amazing place. Quality tastes great. Service is also excellent
They have a lot of variety to choose from. Yummy but a bit pricy i think.
Cashier to slow ..more employee packing instead helping out at the check out
I love the cheese pimiento.
Rude staff. Would not recommend.
Great bakery, the cassava cake is my favorite!
Tasty items
I always get the Ube Haba Haba is the best!!! cream cheese haba haba second best of course!
Amazing fresh breads, great service. Must try UBE rolls, they are yummmmm.. Just be careful they are usually sold out and always busy.
Been there 3 times and 2 out of the 3 have not been a good experience. They had the cheese buns priced at $6.49 on the package. Once I got to the cash register they scanned it at $7.50. I didn't know the price changed but told them the price should be honoured since it is on the package, they didn't. Today I went there with my 3 year old and 1 year old and the women packaging baked goods in the front were talking loudly to each other and swearing then yelling at the guys at the back/kitchen. Also when I asked for help because I didn't know where a certain item was or what it looked like ( I was buying it for my mom) the lady was rude and just pointed to a general direction. The cashier was nice though and she packaged fresh ones for me and took care of the fly that was in their individual baked good shelf/display. As a business, their staff should be professional and not yell and swear in front of customers especially children.
Went inside the bakery to check what to buy. Saw this lady packing little pastries that looks so good. Went to her and ask what those are, she said "ube bulilits" without asking she gave me 1 to try. I am so taken aback because she was so nice. And the pastry was soo good i was smiling the whole time i was chewing it. I bought 5 packs of bulilits just because. $3.75 for a 12 piece pack less than $ .33cents/piece Don't forget to try cheese pimiento also, same price with cheese and roasted red peppers and some Filipino goodness added.
I bought chicken siopao, cheesy pandesal, ube pastillas and spanish bread to give to my mom. Filipino friends rave about this bakery, IDK why. Siopao didn't have a lot of meat, pan de sal was too sweet, pastillas was ok but the worst is the spanish bread. My husband and I ate the same food the whole day except for the spanish bread which I ate in the middle of the night. The next day I had diarrhea the whole day. Catch my drift? They don't throw away what was in the counter, sitting there for a long time. Of course, they're after profit. I'm going to complain to the food authorities to give this bakery a surprise inspection because quality sucks. NEVER AGAIN! BTW, my friend bought turon and the saba is not ripe at all. It was "matigas" according to them. AVOID the HYPE!
One of the best Filipino bakery shops in Mississauga. Definitely gotta try the cheese pandesal
The name threw me off as I usually associate “tropical” with the Caribbean but this happens to be a Filipino bakery, which was a nice surprise. There are lots of choices but without knowing what is in each item, it’s hard to make a choice as a non-Filipino. There were many choices which looked delicious at the cashier counter, however they were not labeled so it was difficult to make an impulse buy. Will definitely return and try as many items as I can.
Great bakery. Dinner rolls, pandesal are a must try! Esp when it is fresh and hot. Cheese rolls are so perfect! Definitely our fave. Other delicacies are a bit expensive. Honestlt theit are other places to buy that are cheaper. Staff, very friendly. Credit card payment accepted for $10 & over only..
Nightmare when my granddaughter found and almost swallowed a 2 inches steelwool in a siopao...Called the stores that time so they will aware but unfortunately I dont know what to say...Just want everyone be aware their bread are tasty but how about the cleanliness how are we so sure now...
I love the bread from this Bakeshop
A very nice addition at Seafood City. Everything extremely fresh. Sometimes still warm. If I’m passing by, I usually stop.
Good service. Love the tamales
Helpful staff.
Fresh bread and efficient service
Great selections, amazing prices , superb Goods and awesome service...
Good tasting bread
Pandesal and siopao are larger than the competition. plus they bake fresh ones !
The best Bakery ever
Good variety of Filipino breads.
Employees are very friendly and of course their bread and other stuff are the best in town....
Breads are fresh and the shops is clean. The rack is hardly filled because breads are easily sold. The Pandesal is what people came here for and the other yummy Pinoy treats like puto pao and other kakanin.
Friendly staff and fair price
I would've given this place a 4.5 if they use fresh buns for their sandwiches
Love the varieties of pastries!
The store do have a camera and the owner can checked this .. the plastic broom that a store-staff use on the floor was also use on the shelf where the product is racked . Staff didnt BOTHER to REMOVe THE PRODUCTs (cross path by the same BROOM).datef March 22,2020 (Mavis & Boyer , Mississauga ON).
1 star for using the logo/font of Tropical Hut in the Philippines
After seeing reviews of other customers who complained about molds, me and hubby were more careful on selecting goods and double check if we picked the good ones. The place is a pleasing bread haven. The cheese roll were our favorite! Cleanliness/orderliness may need improvement (some opened goodies are left exposed and neglected, which may cause a pest infestation). As someone who knew the native language, I gave a friendly "would it fit?" remark to the cashier as an ice breaker because she seemed stressed/tired while she struggles to fit our bought goodies in the bag, only to be ignored and gave me a "let's get over with this" look as I hand over my payment and not even a thank you for dropping some spare change in their tip box afterwards. Wish I had an encounter with the friendly elders/aunties that was mentioned in one of the review instead.
Disappointed with their Spanish bread
Excellent fresh ube bread. Lots of purple in the bakery.
Nice place to buy some Filipino baked goods.
Excellent staff and service
Quick and efficient Dozen of pandesal is only 3.75
Pricy
Most items are too sweet, my suggestion is to cut down on sugar otherwise good.
We bought the bulilit ube and it is so delicious. Will be back for more.
I went there today to get their cheese bulilit pimiento bread. I just grab two packs and went home. Upon inspecting at home, I found out that there was a fly inside one of the pack bread. It was disgusting.
Expensive.......
Yummy Filipino style fresh baked goodies
Great tasting goodies
Since I lived in the Bay area for more than 15 years,I am so happy to have this bakery store in Ontario.
Good
The buns are so yummy and fresh. They are slightly sweet and delicious. They also have many ube flavoured breads and cake roll choices. Yummy :)
Great fresh amazing pastries
If you miss Filipino bakery delicacies, Valerio's will help fill that longing. While not always the cheapest, it is the most delicious. It makes bringing a taste of the Philippines home possible.
Yummy and friendly staff. Lots of parking outside.
Staff are friendly and products are delicious . A little bit pricy
Some of their desserts are pricey but their bread items are a good value. My favourite is the cream cheese haba haba, but the ube haba haba is good too. They often bring out trays of freshly baked items from the back kitchen so definitely order those, especially if they've got hot pandesal!
We bought four different things today and unfortunately for one of the items didn’t notice the mold on the pichi Pichi. Unfortunately, A family member ate a whole one despite the smell - hopefully she doesn’t get sick.
Absolutely love the softness of the bread and the great smell!!
Meh
Fast service, food a tad pricy.. although you can smell the pastry and breads are made fresh.
(Translated) Love the pandesal (Original) Love the pandesal
Clean, easy to navigate to check what you want. Sometimes there's a lineup to the cashier. Cashier was very friendly, and had a smile on her face
It's ok...
Very good
Staff's are friendly and the bake goods taste fresh.
Fresh and good quality bread
I bought Banana pancakes, cheese ball, cheese roll and chicken bread. cheese roll was the best!! I want to eat that everyday. I bought ube roll and puto yesterday. Best puto ever.
Always fresh
Too many people allowed inside and do not respect social distance, brush past and touching me. I selected 2 breads with filling and asked what was inside. The cashier advised pork and I asked for only 1, putting the other away. I was still charged for 2!
When they first open the things they do there were ok. Now not so much anymore.
Bread quality and options average...
One of the best bakery in town. They have the best bread and pastries that caters to the taste of Filipinos alike. One of my favorite is the cheese pimiento.
Place is good but they can't keep up woth there production i went there around 4pm i ask few items they don't have it i feel a bit disappointed after i drove 78km plus congestion along the way. Not so very happy.
Good stuff BUT too pricey!!! The price of pimiento went up 50c more!!! Just wow!!! Are you increasing the price all the time?? Lol
