I reviewed this establishment when it first opened years ago. I read up on the current mixed negative and positive reviews. I would still recommend this place specially for the patties and veg sandwiches. I have yet to try any pastries so far. Had their chana kulcha (chickpeas sandwich) yesterday, will go back again litterly today to grab another one. If you are really looking for a quick bite or a snack with tea this is the right place to come. Also the bread used in sandwiches is baked in house which resembles the bread sold in India (similar flavours). This Indian bakery really reminds me of the local town bakeries in India. Most of the negative comments are about a negative customer service experience. Maybe we forget how rude and non existant "customer service " is provided in your local Asian food joints. Yet we tolerate that and visit them again and again. Maybe look beyond that and go for food only. Not like you are gonna sit their for an hour eating a patty. Next time you pass by grab a chana kulcha and thank your wallet that you only paid $3 for it and not spent $20 on an unhealthier expensive option at your "good customer service " American fast food joint.

All of their cakes are eggless. They keep limited cakes for random pick-ups due to Covid. It's better to order your cake in advance. They have good variety of cookies. Their potato and paneer (cottage cheese) patties, cold veg sandwich and cream rolls are must try.

I’ve been a fan of Makkar Bakers Jalandhar location since childhood .. it was a great experience to have the same good taste after so many years here in Canada !! It was shocking to see couple of bad google reviews for this bakery but that should not bother others as we all know that we can’t make everyone happy. The food is so good and the location is very neat and clean. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I booked a cake 1 day ago for a birthday and they made it so well as I want it on time. They will customize the base and flavour as our requirement. Price is very reasonable as compared to other similar shops. Shop is located in a convenient location with ample car parking. I was so tensed since nobody picked the call on the day couple of time. But overall I am impressed with their service. I will Recommend them.

had specifically ordered Dark chocolate cake a week prior to when I needed, inspite of calling them a day before and confirming that they bake those cakes, their reply was " yes you can get your cake when you arrive".. when went to pick my cake, they handed me a vanilla cake with chocolate coating... when spoke to the owner about this, he said "we don't bake dark chocolate cakes and it's not his problem and I can go get it from another store if I need it so badly" I DO NOT ADVICE anyone to visit this store because of the negative attitude this person has !

Oh this bakery is fabulous!! My wife and I were missing the authentic Indian style patties/puffs and we luckily stumbled upon this place! Their patties (both aloo & paneer) are INCREDIBLE and so is the coffee!! We also love their coleslaw and pasta sandwiches as well as their cookies. I don't think we've tried their pastries yet but I can promise you we will, sooner than later! Let's just say we're super hooked and have already recommended them to family & friends and they're equally hooked haha! Highly recommended!!

I got fresh baked Kulchas from Maker Bakers and they came out with Fungus on it. There is no Manufacturing date and expiry date on the packet. I called owner name Manish he said its not our fault but its your fault you didnt kept Kulchas in perfect temperature. Owner was so rude while talking . I never recommend anyone going to this bakery they are selling products without any information on it.

I haven't tried much but just variety of Sandwiches, cake and pastry. Their eggless pastry was awesome!! Cake was ok, maybe because I bought it at last minute but their pasta sandwich is not good at all... Sandwiches really really need lots of improvement plus price adjustments. Aunty was nice but I thought her judgement for "writing my message was wrong" as she declined; actually on the cake had lots of space left but anyways..overall, had nice experience. Will I ever go again, umm not sure may be for pastries "yum" :) or to try something new. She had best eggless black forest pastry. Definitely recommend for pastries!

Earlier I used to go often here to eat Veg. puff,pastries and cookies. once, while eating veg. puff I found burnt beetle bottom of the puff. I saw it to the owner, He replied oh this is nothing just burned piece of flour, I told that this is not a piece of flour with legs and beetle body but instead of reaching to solution he was arguing. I love their food. Everything taste lit. It’s been 4 years of me eating their all stuff. Their food is spreading all over the province day by day. That’s good. They are doing hard work and making delicious food. But that doesn’t mean that you will double the price for everything all of sudden. Earlier it was 3.25 and now it is 6$ Way too much expensive. But never mind. You should look into this matter soon.

We went there yesterday to buy a cake while we were asking the price the person who was behind us in the line point to one cake while the lady was serving us. And that lady who was working there stop serving us and start taking order of the person behind us. According to me, it was little unprofessional as if we were standing in the line employee should serve the first customer first. So, they should train their employees a little more about customer service. But food was tasty though.

We bought a cake last night for 30$ and the I asked the owner is this cake is a fresh he said cake was made 10 minutes ago which was a complete lie sponge of the cake was hard as rock and frosting was almost 2 weeks old this happened 2nd time with me and this morning when I called the owner he was very rude to me and was not accepting . And now I bought a cake from different place and the owner said to me he will not sell me from next time what a funny guy highly recommend not to visit this place

I always get pastries from here! And what can I say.. just too good!! The flavours are amazing especially the pineapple and chocolate. The aloo patties are also very tasty and crispy. Yummy.. have you tried there veggie cream cheese sandwiches ????! If you haven't already then you are missing out. Great for lunch and also healthy. If you haven't been here yet I'd suggest to try them out! Their store front is right on airport road and have parking in the back of the plaza.

I used to buy sweet buns for long time. They were fresh before but for last few months, they are so old and dry. When you ask them if they are fresh, they always say its fresh but after opening it you realize they are hard like a biscuit. Honesty is very important when dealing with customers. Very disappointed

This store, wraps the kulchas in plastic bags and heats them in microwave. When asked the reason, they say these bags are microwaveable. It is NOT. Don't let them use these plastic wraps during microwaving because it may melt. I will not recommend for this reason. Otherwise, the taste of cake and puffs were good.

A friend told to definitely try this place when you go to malton and we will be blown out by the amazing taste and such. On the contrary it is a total opposite experience. So pricey.. more than double the regular pricing of stuff and nothing special AT ALL! The patty and pastries are much much better at Rashmie's bakery instead.. lol! It was a total rip off! How can you justify being abusive to an elderly person? I was not with my mother. She is ELDERLY and she cannot read English or Punjabi.
