Holy moly. I have had treats from lipstick baker maybe 8 times. I never ever ever purchase any sweets. Especially from a small business like this. But I’ll tell you this - best cake, mousse cups, customer service and friendly faces I have ever witnessed. My entire family loves everything they’ve tried. I found out about this business from instagram while looking for my daughters first birthday cake: the communication I received while waiting for my cake was top notch. She even delivered it to my house, to my apartment during covid. I can’t explain how much I appreciate this company. The mousse cups....the best dessert I’ve ever had, hands down. The quality of the cake feels like you are eating luxury. Y’all can charge more. I would come back even with a 50% price increase. Lol. Dead serious. You have to follow their Instagram to get in on flash deals etc. The best. Thank you all at lipstick baker! Xo (some of these were training cakes at a discount-soooooooo worth it! They learned quick!!

I had contacted Nicole on the 15th of July for a custom birthday cake for my Daughter's birthday in August. She replied back on the 16th & said she was booked up but liked the theme, so she'd squeeze me in, which was nice of her. I had requested a 2-tier cake with some fondant designs. She quoted me a price and said it was for 30 slices and to let her know by the 17th. I emailed back saying I still want a cake from her but maybe 2-tier was too much for the amount of guests coming. I have never ordered a "professional" cake before but I do know there are different size 2-tier cakes inch wise, which she didn't tell me in her first and only email. She just gave me a price, that's it! I contacted another bakery too just to be safe and this one gave me three different 2-tier options with their prices. Something I thought she'd do as well. I had asked in my second email to just do a 1 tier with the same design elements & asked for a price. I did give her a inspo pic but told her she could change it up to add her creativity to it, in both emails. Well, I guess she didn't like that I changed my mind or that I didn't need a $410 cake for only 12-15 people. I mean, sure I could afford that but thought to downsize the cake as 30 slices was too much & while I do have the money, I thought a smaller one would be best as we're in the midst of moving too. She only replied to my first email when she said sure she could do it & gave me the price. After my second email to her explaining I wanted one still but just scaled down, she completely ignored me. I then emailed her on the 21st, saying sorry if I offended her in any way and asking if she could still squeeze us in as I haven't heard back yet. We're now the 25th & I'm pretty sure I'm not hearing back. This is upsetting cause I was a new-ish follower who loved her work and was excited to try her cake as I read so many good things. However, the way she has completely ignored me is absolutely disgusting behavior for someone who is "highly sought after". It seems all that has gone to her head, it's too bad. I have a couple baker people I go to for cookies etc.. if I like your product, I'm a repeat customer & I recommend the business to everyone. Well, I can say it won't be the same thing here. Very saddened by this experience.

I have had the absolute pleasure of eating many cakes from Lipstick Baker (Nicole) since she is the go to baker for most of my friends and family members. I personally used Nicole for my Mother's Birthday cake and it was beyond my expectations. It's one thing to have a cake that aesthetically looks beautiful but it's another to have one that is well crafted and tastes just as delicious. Fresh, delicious and just beautifully made- you cannot go wrong with choosing Nicole for any event big or small.Highly recommended!!!!

I’ve never had better desserts anywhere in my life. The cake is to die for, but the mousse cups?! I could buy $1000 worth in 1 month. I don’t know how they do it. It is worth every penny and more. The staff are very kind, especially the owner. Every time I walk in I see friendly hard working faces. It has always been quick in and out. I’ve never had a bad experience. This store deserves multiple locations, so the owner can sit back. She has been working her butt off for many years, as I’ve seen following her instagram journey. The owner makes this company what it is, but her quality and staff make the trip worth it.

I would give her more stars if possible! Nicole baked a cake for my grandmothers 90th birthday. I gave her late notice and she was still willing to work with me and the cake turned out better than I would have ever imagined. The prices are great for the quality you’re getting. We chose coconut cake with lemon curd, I highly recommend it! Everything about my experience with Nicole was fabulous and I will definitely be hiring her for cakes in the future.

Nicole did my wedding cake couple years ago - and exceeded my dreams. She was super helpful during the consult when we couldn’t make up our minds about what flavours to choose ( because they were all so good). She ended up creating several flavours including a snickers layer. It was gluten free and corn free and no one could tell. She also did my husband’s 30th birthday cake. Amazing work creating a cake shaped like a Rubix cube. Highly highly highly recommend her. Her cakes are awesome and she is super awesome!

Lipstick Baker made our wedding cake and dessert table items for our wedding in September 2019 and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out!! Everything was absolutely gorgeous AND delicious!!! During our tasting it was tough to narrow down our flavor choices because they were all so good, but we were able to use a different flavor for all 3 tiers which was awesome! We chose coconut, vanilla & strawberry, and lemon blueberry for our 3 cake flavors, and also had mini donuts, lemon squares, mousse cups, cake pops and gluten free/vegan cupcakes. We got so many compliments on how beautiful everything was and how delicious they all were as well. We would definitely recommend Lipsticks Baker, and will certainly use her again in the future!!

I am so happy I found Nicole to make both my bridal shower cake as well as our wedding cake recently. Our guests at both events had nothing but amazing things to say about the taste, quality, and look of both cakes. I thought for sure I was going to have leftovers at my bridal shower as we did make a 2 tiered cake for about 50 guests but that cake flew off the table! We only had 3 slices left over to enjoy ourselves (thank goodness as I did want to enjoy at least one slice because I haven't tasted a better tasting cake than the cakes that Nicole makes!) Our wedding cake was also well received and taken home by many of our guests to enjoy! Nicole was always so easy to get a hold of and responded to our questions promptly and with such professionalism. She's also super affordable too! Whenever I need a cake for any future events, I'll now know who to call :) Thanks for everything Nicole!

Edit: that's not my last name and no one told me to leave this review. I took it upon myself to. After the rude stories you posted on your business Instagram account. If you can't take a bit of criticism, then don't be in that business. If your already in talks with someone about a cake you should get back to them within 1-2 days after the first email exchange to let the customer know they secured a cake, not leave them hanging for a week when they too have to make plans and get things set up. It's all about customer service first and product second.

Customer service is top notch and she was patient enough to answer my questions till i figured out how to place an order for customized cake . The first time I tried nicole's baking was at a salon launch party ... I ate way too many cupcakes that night and left with her name and number LOL. Ive ordered from Nicole 3 times now and I have no plans on stopping. Most revently, Nicole made my daughter's first birthday cake and some vegan cupcakes on the side. I didn't want to cut the cake. I'm still sad I had to cut it but glad I did. I highly recommend Nicole's cakes. She is a true artist and professional. We had a very minor hiccup with our cupcakes and she just took care of it quickly and rectified the situation.
