Best bakery in Mississauga hands down. It's such and extremely popular place and I definetly can tell why. They have a very friendly staff that's super helpful. They have delicious sandwiches and sweets. You can tell that everything is freshly baked. They are amazing at making and decorating custom cakes.They have so many options and it's definitely a place everyone should try out.

In all of Mississauga this is my favorite bakery people who work are nice and well groomed there is an area to sit and dine get a cup of coffee and a pastry or have a light bite to eat like a salad. They have day old at the front or pizza in the freezer which is very cheap and you can get 10 desserts for $20 as a deal. Everything is fresh and appetizing meats and cheeses the sandwiches are the best donuts don't even get me started ham and cheese I come by to get for breakfast and assortment of breads to drinks and ingredients to make a homemade pizza!

I have been going there for over 4 years now and have never been dissapointed even a bit. I primarily go there for breads and they are so so so better than prepacked store breads. Yes, they might be 50c costlier but you are getting the quality!! Totally worth it.

Love love love their steak sandwiches. You choose your own fresh bun and they grill everything in front of you. A few favourites of mine are the Portuguese tarts and these spicy shrimp perogie type things. Very good prices and always tasty.

The only thing I have bought from them until now are birthday cakes. The birthday cakes are good, have nice layering, and taste is better than the stuff you buy at walmart, freshco, or even at Costco. The cream or icing on the cakes is right amount. They are neither too sweet or creamy. From the decor point of view, the cakes are fine too. They do custom ordera for the cakes if that's what you need. Everything almost right amount. Sometimes, the bakery gets busy and you could spend sometime finalizing your purchase.

Lovely little bakery, huge selection of breads and a nice selection of desserts. They also have some deli meats at a reasonable price, they also make sandwiches and have a little coffee seating area. The staff was friendly and helpful. They also make custom cakes.

Best experience I’ve ever had not only ordering a cake (last minute at that!) but also the best looking and tasting Birthday cake I’ve ever ordered! I had ordered a Birthday cake with an edible image from a different bakery and at the last minute I was told that they weren’t able to fulfil my order ! Desperate and terrified I called La Novita Bakery and I was immediately reassured (amazing customer service and phone etiquette) that they would not only be able to make my Daughters cake with her picture on it but it would also be ready for the day of her party (I called on a Friday or Saturday and needed the cake for Sunday morning !) Sharon is amazing at what she does and she was so kind and patient with me. I am so grateful to her and the whole team and I can’t wait to order all my Cakes for EVERY occasion from La Novita Bakery from now on ! Side note; The cake not only looked too beautiful to eat— it tasted so good that we couldn’t stop eating it ! Parents asked where we got the cake from and commented on how good it tasted so I was sure to give them all the details, La Novita Bakery Baby !

I live right by this bakery and it's so hard to not go in every time you pass it! The breads are intoxicating, pastries are phenomenal and the staff is very bubbly/upbeat. My favorite thing to buy here is their pizza dough, it always turns out better than when I try to make it at home! I will always come back to this location

Absolutely my most favourite bakery in the GTA. Their cakes are super soft, and very delicious (try the strawberry shortcake - my fave! -). All the baked goods are fresh and the customer service is great! They're all really helpful and patient with you.

Amazing cappuccinos!!! They have great Portuguese custard tarts too! I have not tried their cakes yet but they look amazing. I have tried their desserts and they were all very good! Lots of parking available around the building.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDING this bakery for all of your cake needs. My family has been coming to this bakery for over 10 years and the cakes have never disappointed - even if there was something we didn't like the team would fix it or be flexible to our requests. We have ordered slab cakes, customer fondant cakes and most recently cupcakes with a baby cake. Sharon, Luis and the team did a FANTASTIC job...our guests were blown away and unlike other cupcakes that only look good, these tasted GREAT. Cake was moist and not extremely sweet (red velvet tends to be on the sweeter side). Cupcakes were packaged safely for transportation and everything was ready to go.

Super slow service. I was just standing there for 4 minutes before I was greeted. Order was taken really weirdly. The woman that did take my order had a weird attitude and actually mocked the way I spoke. The veal sandwich took so long to prepare and was very dry and underwhelming. The sauce was just a very simple and non flavorful tomato sauce. As a first time customer, this was an absolutely terrible and weird experience. Maybe don't mock your customers and just take their orders.

Love their mini desserts. 6 for $11.50 now; used to be cheaper when we first started coming here around 2 years ago ( times have changed for sure! Can’t blame them.) Not a lot of unique sweets/variety, and the ones they have are more expensive. We recently bought a birthday cake (October 2021) and it tasted like it had been frozen for a while and left in their display fridge to thaw. My suggestion for them is to start printing receipts for customers, so that all charges and tax amounts are clear. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for.

this is the BEST bakery. i use to work at the storage facility next door, i was here every morning to get my coffee and every day at lunch for a fresh sandwich and great company. absolutely the greatest owners and staff. they make you feel like a part of the family...even the man with the goat that one day. craving this place right now, wish i was still close

I regularly come here at least once or twice a week, breads have been solid. I have their espresso sometimes and it's alright, it's always ground before, and they use a La Spaziale S9 machine. Just saying, the bread Pao de avo, you pronounce it as pao devo, helps to learn some names. Try to come early if you can, some breads run out fast on certain days like corn buns.

Not organized place dirty, feb 12th went to pick up birthday cake, I ordered paid for on feb 4 2021. Guess what no cake was ordered they said. Hmmm yet I have a bill from them. Will never step foot in there again. Same thing happened last year with a friend taher that bought paid for a cake. Need new management I say.

This bakery is a French patisserie paradise right in the heart of Mississauga. My personal favorites are their cheesecakes and fresh garlic bread. The mini pasties are bite sized value for money treats. Their cakes and pastries are reasonably priced with good portion sizes. This bakery has everything from fresh breads in their bakery section, cold cuts, pastries and cakes! Their coffee and fresh food section is unfortunately closed now due to covid.

Unfortunately there's no option for "zero star" rating. Worst cake experience ever. I ordered a chicolate truffle cake and they give me a vanila cake, all white inside. They just put a thin layer of chocolate icing on top. 30 dollars spent for a 6" went to garbage.

I would give them TEN STARS if it were possible.The baked goods are wonderful and the hot table is great BUT what was truly WONDERFUL was their customer service. I purchased an $80.00 item from them that was defective. When I went to return it, fully expecting a long discussion, Sharon (in charger of cash I believe) was completely understanding. She asked for details about the problem so she could report it to her vendor, and immediately gave me a complete refund. She was courteous, professional and a pleasure to deal with. I will be making an effort to shop there more often. In fact, since she was so easy to deal with, I bought a bunch of things there today that I normally wouldn't have.... PLEASE PEOPLE... SHOP AND SUPPORT THIS WONDERFUL place! I would give them TEN STARS if I could

Fantastic bakery. I live over 2 hours away but anytime I'm even remotely close I have to stop for their chocolate croissants. They also make some of the best deli sandwiches too. Just pick whatever kind of bun you prefer and bring to deli counter and pick anykind of meat, cheese and sauce you want.

The fresh baked buns were very soft and yet had that crispy bite 5/5 They have red velvet, caramel apple, pecan caramel cheesecake...that was a tad dry 3/5 The cherry Danish was good 4/5 I bought about 8 pieces, including donuts, scones, danish, Cheesecake I got my stuff in bags, having my Danish stick to it. Meanwhile the ladies beside me got their things in boxes. You gotta ask for the boxes or it's upto their discretion? Masks are mandatory, was a bit crowded. I must add, they have a section where they so sandwiches or burgers and a deli counter.

I ordered a birthday cake for my son 18 years old birthday cake. It is big day for him to turn to adult. After reading the reviews, I decide to take a chance to try this La Novita Bakery store. I ordered the tiramisu cake. I specifically said that I want a fresh one. It must be made on the same day not the one on the display shelf. The girl took the order and marked" Must be fresh made ". I appreciated she put the effort to do that to make sure the tiramisu is fresh. However, I picked the cake on Jan 5 around 3:30 p.m. Another girl gave me the cake from inside. I asked her "Is it fresh made today". She did not look at me saying yes. I went home and check with the pic from the display I took yesterday Jan 4, It is identical the same. I can tell how they do the decoration , how to place the cream. Of course , it is not fresh at all . I am very disappointed. I won't recommend for this bakery store. They are not honest. They lied to the customer. I won't ever go back again. It ruined my son's 18 years old birthday celebration. It made me embarrassing not ordering the fresh cake .

Placed an order for a birthday cake 4 days ago and was supposed to be picked up today at 12. Went to pick it up and cake was not even ready. No decoration on the cake like I asked and no birthday wish written on the cake. It was a nightmare. There wasn’t even a baker available to finish the cake. No one was willing to even finish the job. The cashier ended up completing the last details on the cake. Very unprofessional! Not happy with the service and won’t ever return there. Yes the breads and other sweets are very good like many others mentioned but avoid getting your birthday cakes or for any other event from there because it won’t be a completed job.

This place has been around since the stone age. It's a fixture of the neighborhood. People continue to frequent it because they have fantastic bread (go early it sells out fast). Their chiabata buns are to die for, so are their custard tarts. I plan on ordering a cake from there the next time I need one. There is also a deli and a small assortment of dried goods (pasta etc). It's a wonderful bakery.

I cannot describe how satisfied I felt with the great service i was provided with at La Novita Bakery. I highly recommend the custard tarts and the fridge pastries, especially the cheesecakes. You can get about anything, from specialty coffees to deli and steak/chicken sandwiches and a variety of bread choices to take home as well. In addition, they also have a little dining area where you can enjoy the atmosphere with a couple of friends and have great prices. Overall I had a very good experience visiting the bakery and would recommend it to anyone.

I ordered the tiramisu cupcakes off of their menu the first one was absolutely amazing however the inconsistency of the products quality was disappointing the second one was a completely different texture to say the least among a few other unpleasing qualities in taste I was considering trying different things on the menu in the future considering the pictures looked amazing of the products they had however after this unpleasing experience I don’t know that I will be looking to try anything else from the shop in the future

This place is the BEST! I’ve been ordering cakes from them for ten years now and not once have I been disappointed. The owners are very accommodating to my sometimes complex cake requests. They even make suggestions to make the cake look even better. The taste of the cake is always just as good if not better than it looks. Always fresh. I get told by people at my parties that it is the best cake that they’ve ever tried. They are definitely masters at the art of cake making. Their Portuguese buns are the best by far of any other bakery that I’ve been too. I usually eat two before I even get home. They are always fresh and most of the time still warm. Also, their Portuguese custards are worthy of mention. They are the best tarts I’ve ever eaten. So creamy and the pastry is light and flakey. If your able to get them while they are still warm I guarantee you will not be able to stop at one. They are amazing. This bakery is definitely an A+!!!!!!

Was standing in line for 10 minutes as the rude cashier with glasses was rude and said "there is a line" meanwhile the gentleman she just served said I was there waiting the whole time and I was next.. i say it's whatever and point to the doughnuts I want then this ignorant excuse of a person says "it's not whatever, you must explain yourself" what do I need to explain? We decided to give this bakery a try and get our 10th anniversary cake from them. We placed an order online, ahead of the required time, and despite having the receipts and confirmation in hand, we came in to find that the order was not prepared nor even in their system. We had to wait an extra 30 minutes while they scrambled to get something last minute prepared for us. We had placed an order for an 8 inch cheesecake as the picture showed it topped with chocolate and plenty of fruits (see their website), which not many other places had. What we ended up getting was a FROZEN cake that was nothing short of disappointing. By the time it defrosted, even the sign had sunken in. And for over $30 to top it off! If we had known this was the quality and service we were going to receive, we would have been better off just going to a grocery store. This was for our TENTH anniversary, an occasion which we had looked forward to for some time but this beyond disrespectful experience was a major hamper. What's worse is that the staff lacked genuine care (clearly this isn't the first time this has happened) and were not helpful- there was no offer for a refund or other options, we were simply told to 'file a complaint'. Be forewarned, if you place an order online here, call and double check since they obviously are incapable of doing their work properly. NEVER AGAIN. Side Note: Their garlic bread was good though.

The sweetbread is amazing, they've always had the best chocolate croissants I've ever tasted, my mum loves the apple caramel cake and I bought a couple macarons that we're delicious. I discovered this place 3 days ago on my way home from work and I returned continuously all 3 of those days to pick up fresh baked goods. I brought home a variety of things for my family to try: loafs of bread, a baguette, jelly donuts, nutella croissants, almond croissants, plain croissants, cinnamon rolls and pineapple pound cake. We loved absolutely everything we tried. I will definitely be visiting this place regularly and I'm super excited to try more things!

My son ordered birthday cake online from la novita bakery custom cakes. Cake was picked up on april 16, 2021 at 10am. The cake was NOT of a bakery quality..the strawberry shortcake was sponge cake covered with a very very too sweet whipping cream with 5 fresh strawberries on top. It looked to me as if they ran out of ingredients and made the cake anyway..
