You have to expect crazy prices at the airport! At least the food was delicious and the free coffee refill was a plus. Staff was friendly. I’m tech savvy, but ordering from an iPad was annoying and just another way companies can sell advertisements that annoy me.

$20 CAD for a small, cold, pre-made and bland sandwich + a small latte. Coffee was undrinkable as well. In addition, employees gave you the feeling they were doing you a favor by answering your questions. I don't know what to recommend at Terminal 1 but I would definitely stay away from this place.

To be honest I expected more wait time based on the previous reviews but was not disappointed and the food came in 15-20 mins after we placed our order in the tab. About the taco salad that we ordered. It's base price is $11 which is just fare enough for the portion. But additional $5 for protein is a little too much. Overall good food

It's one of the most disgusting places I have ever seen. All tables are absolutely gross, disgusting, full of garbage... Their tablets are following apart and stop working after you pay. All the staff move around the garbage on the floor but they don't clean it. It's disgusting.

Food is ok, ordered a chicken panini, it had good flavour and came with a side coleslaw. Service is not that good, servers don’t seem happy to help you. Seats around the cafe were dirty, also the bar had many dirty dishes. The iPads were dirty as well. I guess for airport was alright.

We were a group of 5 people, and we sat at the bar to place our food order but to our surprise only 1 tablet worked, finally a staff member came to help us place the order since the one we tried was not even connected. Then we started playing and we were told that if we order we get tokens that we can exchange for food and drinks, so when I asked the staff if we could get those tokens since we already placed the order I had to explain twice before they understood what I wanted....and I was told no, sorry. So then I asked why they dont have signs next to the tablets to let people know considering 1 water bottles is $7 and you could pay with tokens....just saying. Well food more cold than hot and it we got it after quite some time...it was fries and sandwiches.... So not impressed at all...

We walked the whole gate area looking for a place to eat and decided to stop here. We all are so happy we did. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Using iPads to order was pretty neat as well. We all got the the attached m avacado and turkey sandwiches, very tastey. They had a pretty good bet selection as well.

I’m leaving a review for the Heirloom bakery Cafe in terminal 1 gate E. The coffee was great, but the eggs were sub par. Felt like pre cooked scrambled eggs that were warmed up, with very dull sides. Barely touched my food.

Waited for twenty minutes to eat my order when I asked the server am I going to get my sandwich soon who said you have to wait for 15 minutes; I told him it’s been already 20 minutes and he didn’t even care to reply me. Very impolite attitude and lack of attention. Needs to learn how to speak with people.

Kosher kosher kosher!!!!! They have many kosher items certified by the COR. As I travel frequently it's always refreshing to get a nice kosher pastrami sandwich here in Toronto. Thanks for carrying such a large selection of kosher items it's truly appreciated!!

It is a little costly, but being in the airport you expect it. But I never had a chicken burger that tasted that good before! It is the first time I've tasted maple syrup as part of the burger and honestly it was perfect! I hope to fly this way again soon!

I ordered a piece of muffin, waited 20 minutes for it to come. Unfriendly staff, they don’t care and have no idea what customer service is. Perhaps they think customers won’t be back since it’s an airport... I think they simply don’t know what customer service really is. They should call this bakery 15 minutes for nothing.

Overworked staff leads to a very slow service. Food was good once it arrived, and the staff, whilst rushed, were pleasant. Overweight manager likes to hobble around telling his staff what to do, yet fails to raise a finger to lift any discarded cutlery or packaging. IPads everywhere keep the proletariat amused with bright lights and adverts, but also include a reasonably useful ordering system for table service. They ask for a tip up front, which seems absurd... They can also be turned off, lest you get distracted by adverts.

We ordered 2 glasses of Canadian Baco Noir wine...total charge $54.21 (!?!?!?)....15 mins later they say they dont have any more Baco Noir and will issue a refund.....then they suddenly find some Baco Noir and we get 2 glasses of wine exactly 25 mins after we ordered....bad value for the price

They have frozen 2 month old desserts on display...i swear to god...the coffee was aweful and the croissant was the worst of my life. Their menu has all these desserts to choose from but the server told us they've only had croissants for the last three months. This is strange bakery

Tried to order at the counter. Asked for bacon and eggs but a modification of no eggs and ask if something could be substituted. the cashier wouldn’t even listen to what I was asking. Sent me to order at the iPad. I couldn’t order it there with the no egg portion. Yet the lady behind me ordered bacon and eggs no problem at the counter. Maybe hire people who are willing to be in customer service. I would like to thank heirloom bakery for not serving me food because I asked for no eggs. It’s such a crazy order. Will be sharing my experience with family and friends coming through Pearson.

I’m really sorry to do this, but this is my first 1-star review I’ve left. All of the tables have iPads which would seem to speed up service, but I am sitting at the bar, paid for my food 20 minutes ago, moved the dirty glassware myself, and not a single person has even greeted us. Very impersonal. Technology can never replace service. What’s worse is that the staff are arguing with each other in front of me. It’s really unfortunate to experience this en route to our wedding.

Staffs are friendly and courteous. The phillysteak sandwich is not too bad. The portion is enough if you're really hungry otherwise it's quite a size and can be shared by two people. Price wise it's quite pricey but within usual range for the airport price.

I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese. When I saw her reaching for the cream cheese and asked for it to be toasted she said it was toasted after the cream cheese was on and rolled her eyes. The warm cream cheese on a bagel, which wasn’t even cut in two, was disappointing. The attitude didn’t help either.

Ok so the food is no where close to what they have on the menu. The avocado toast I ordered looked like it was made by 5 year old. Odd pieces of avocado somewhere in tomato . It was hilarious and the guy who brought me my food looked like he hated me for ordering . I paid 15 bucks taxes and gratuity for a 2 dollars worth of avocado toast. If you can avoid this place

Waited in line to order a sandwich. I was brought over to a tablet and told I could see the menu there, meanwhile my order would be placed after the line behind me was taken care of. There are sandwiches displayed in glaS's cases around the booth that are display only, several people were told that this or that wasn'the available Even though it was sitting in a case in front of them. The wine list is proudly displayed behind the counter on a monitor that does not flash any food items. Don't waste the time you have before your flight, hit a vending machine.

You have to Pre-pay and risk not getting your order! When we placed our order, the delivery time was 1 hour before flight boarding time. The food did not arrive, they said they would refund but were too busy. Someone told us the food was coming, and they'd put a rush on it after waiting well over an hour with hungry children, it didn't arrive. We tried again to get a refund but the plane was fully boarded and we had to leave. We've contacted by email, tried to call, put a claim into the credit card company and it's been over month since then even and nothing. Just don't bother, what a headache, much better options at the airport!

I would appreciate being contacted by the manager for a refund. I sat for over an hour and never recieved my food. The waitress advised he could not come until 40 minutes and I had a flight to board before then. I paid $14 for my food and never recieved it.

Ordered via ipad. 2 coffees and 2 baked goods. 15 mins later, nothing. Finally went up and asked for status and was told they were sold out of the baked goods! Asked for a refund and one of the ladies asked me to stand in line to get it. I let her know it was ridiculous. I was offered a complimentary beverage as consolation. The time it took to give me a refund, they could have easily poured our coffees and given us substitute snacks...

The pricing on their system was incorrect....credit card machine didn't print receipt...what does manager Johanne Djbundu do???? Wont honor it! Admits it is a system error but as damage control would not make good even 1 of the 2 orders placed. Customer excellence at its best I say!! Won't be visiting you when I travel for sure.

Heirloom Bakery Café ROBBED me. If you are in Terminal 3 (Gate C31-ish) EAT ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!!! As our 5hour flight was scheduled during the evening, and in response to the lack of meal on the plane, I attempted to order a salad for my dinner. As a vegan with gluten issues, I went to the counter to ask questions before ordering through the tablet system. When I asked if the salad I was interested in was, as listed (I wanted to make sure that I would NOT get dressing), my question was ignored and I was told that special orders could not be made, and that I would have to order via tablet. I attempted to indicate that I could not place an order prior to the clarification. To which, I was told, info could not be provided prior to the order being placed, because it was unclear what I was asking about. After re-reading the item name to the server, directly from the menu and clearly listing the ingredients on the screen Twice, I was then told that I could get a dry salad. After a few minutes I received a salad with Chicken and feta and promptly returned it. I was then told that I caused the mix up. I then, had to, two more times, indicate what I was ordering. I repeated that I wanted the standard items as listed, with nothing special, not even dressing and literally, as the second salad was being made, my partner had to intervene in the prep area and sternly instruct someone NOT to add dressing. When I asked why a salad was such an issue I was told that there is a problem with the system. *If there is a problem with the system, that problem should not be the customer's burden!!!!* After being charged $13. +tax, I received some iceberg lettuce and 4 halved cherry tomatoes and 3 halved cucumber pieces. Having to pay Thirteen Dollars for a salad is bad enough, but the lack of value for the price and the blatant employee disregard robbed me of an enjoyable flight and 13bucks! Eat ANYWHERE else.

I bought a sandwich made by this company a few days ago at Pearson Airport to take on the plane. The wrapping almost required a knife to open it (no knives allowed on planes), the sandwich wasn't cut in half (again no knives on planes), the bread crumbled in your hand as you ate the sandwich and all this for $14.50.

Heirloom is an excellent choice to eat at if you want to grab a good bite and not sure what you want. Almost everything on the menu is portable for you to take on flight with you. The bar too is extensive, fully stocked with all the best drinks throughout the world. Especially great at its speed of service if your flight call is imminent.

Even for airport food, really disappointing sandwiches. Ordered a Steak Sandwich, that cost over $20 and a Heirloom Chicken Sandwich that was almost as expensive. Both were small, with terrible hot dog bun bread and a miserable excuse for a side salad. Not tasty just sad. Save your money for anything else.

A place for coffee and cocktails before catch flight. Located right by gate C30 in terminal 3 Pearson Int'l airport. Equipped with iPads while wait to be boarded. Clean, modern decor and brightly lite. Recommended.
