Pastry shop filled with a nice selection of Middle Eastern baklava and other traditional pastries. Some items are better than others: the shaabiyat are very good and have a fantastic caramelized bottom, but my personal favourite has to be their green pistachio "cookies" (I don't know what they're called) - I started with trying one and couldn't stop. I have been to this place today and met nice guy working there . His name is Mulham . He is very kind and helpful . Customer service was excellent . The place is very clean and the fit out work and design is really nice. There was no one at the place . Couple of customers came while I am there . I think better marketing is needed to achieve more audience . I still see the prices are slightly high and some promotions are highly recommended . I wanted to buy some kind of treats/ gifts around 10 boxes but ended up with 6 no’s. I wanted to present those gifts for friends from other cultures to let them know and taste something different . Many of my friends like the taste and appreciate the wooden box design. For the quality in genera , I still believe there is a room for improvement to achieve the best . It could be due to non availability of some gradians here in the market . 2 items were not available ( Pistachio Maamoul and Orange Kunafah . ) it was kind of disappointment . Anyway, I wish them all the best and success

One of the best Baklava places that started in Scarborough has opened up in Mississauga. If you love Baklava but dislike places that make it too sweet.. Try this place out, so much variety and quality is superb! The owners care about quality and it shows! My favs as long as you love Pistachios are the Borma and Basbusa. I used to drive down to Scarborough all the time just to have the best and now the best has come to me. Thankyou!

We have been weekly clients at Crown for a while now. This past Saturday, I went in along with my sister and our children to have some knefe however, they had no kaak. They said they "forgot" to bring the kaak from the other location. At this point, we were extremely disappointed and said we don't want it anymore without kaak. The 2 young ladies who are supposed to be "the face of the company" during their shifts began making pregudice comments about my culture being the only ones to eat it that certain way.. in a very rude manner. If you do not like your job or are having a bad day, don't take it out on the customers. Thankfully, there was a young man also working, who was kind and polite. Sorry Crown, you've lost our business. I will go back to Baklawa King, where the staff is friendly,always smiles and chats with you.

Coming from Saudi Arabia , i always loved baklava and kunafeh , but in canada could not find a proper shop , tried to so many , but all worthless , i stumbled upon Crown Pastries few days ago , and i thought i should give it a try since i was on a quest to find tasty and quality baklava , just like Saudi Arabia . Low and behold when i entered the shop , the entire environment was amazing . The Baklava and Kunafeh tastes Exactly as middle east , i cannot stress it enough , if you love middle eastern pastries , THIS is the spot to be . 10 out 10 , amazing staff , service and most importantly Quality Desserts . Safe to say , you guys have earned a customer for life .

Great food hands down...BUT: I have never ever seen a desert place where they don't serve water!! Instead they make you buy a small bottle for $3-4 each which is absolutely insane!!!!! Seriously??? Unfortunately had another bad experience with these guys, I must that their pastries are great the customer services is horrible. I told one of the employees to not put me the burnt edges sweet he then what am I supposed to do with them I told him not my headache. After a heated conversation the employee was almost ready to fight and I am absolutely disgusted. I will never buy from them again. I also purchased on previous occasions and the halawt al jubn filling was sour ( gone bad ). I also let them know about this and nothing was done

I just experienced possibly the best customer service of all time. I was at this store on Sunday for the first time. The seller asked me what I want. So I inform him, this is my first time here and I am looking for his recommendation. Suddenly, a rude customer interrupted us and start shouting at the guy for a silly reason. We purchased baklava and some ice-cream. Baklava was alright and the Arabic ice-cream tasted good, but compared to a few other locations in Mississauga, theirs was just ok. It was fluffy and texture was different than most other places. The reason I am giving this place a 3 star is because of the mixed service. The 1st lady who I spoke with seemed disengaged and uninterested in helping. I asked if they had ice-cream and she said yes and pointed to a standing fridge/freezer. I clarified asking if they sold single serving portions and she said no. As there were other patrons ahead, another lady assisted me. I asked to just confirm if I couldn't purchase ice-cream by a single portion and she said I could. I was so glad I asked again. As I was waiting for my order to be prepared, a couple after me came in asking for ice-cream and the 1st woman I had encountered proceeded to tell them no...

I got their Pistachio cake and it was okay. Also tried assorted baklavas which were delicious and fresh. Next time I would try cake of any other flavor. The owner and the people who worked there were very welcoming. Good music was playing inside the store and the store was clean. The staff was following proper covid 19 protocols. This is a 5 stars middle eastern deserts place. Some of the best tasting baklawa I have had. Try the green baklawa. Something you don’t find at other places. They also have sugar free baklawa which I will try some day. They are known for their kunafa. I tried it and I would rate it 4/5. The best one I had was in Istanbul at Hafiz Mustafa which is ranked #2 in deserts places in all of Istanbul.

So I just visited this place and loved it. Ambiance is nice, they bring the snacks to your table which is a nice touch. Cutlery, napkins, sugar syrup on the side, small things make a difference. And.... the sweets were good especially the baklava. Definitely recommend and proces are reasonable enough.

Came here because the place claims it has knafeh on its window. Unfortunately, they ran out of it! From other reviewers, knafeh pictures are a single made plate that's made to order! The server started suggesting other sweets from what they offer in the counter. I don't want cold sweets from the counter, I want freshly made knafeh which they clearly don't care serving their customers. Or probably they really ran out of which is odd if they really manage to have enough supply. So i said let's give them another chance and order cheesecake instead. So I ordered their Facory cheesecakes, they clearly saw we came as a family, sitting on a table, we've been served with take out plastic containers and bags! I was gonna order coffee, but changed my mind when I saw the plastic take out containers. On the way out, we saw the main table with customers being served with real plates and cutlery! We left in shock how this place don't take care of their customers! Lastly, we were not impressed with the cheesecakes, they were old and one of them had a foul smell. You're charging premium price, we expect premium, fresh products and service. I also ordered a small plate of baklava, I tell the server lady I want this and point with my finger at the specific plate, she goes and picks similar ones from an almost empty plate. I don't want your older pastries. Sell me fresh pastries or don't bother selling at all. If I want old pastries, I go a grocery store. Really disappointed with the experience. There are many high quality sweets shops in town. This is surely not one of them!

Excellent baklawa. Certainly one of the best in Mississauga. Good variety of Arab pastries, cookie. They also have a sit down cafe where you can order coffee and items off the menu. The food turns over quickly at this place, which means the food you’re getting is pretty fresh. Staff are friendly and usually will give samples if you wanna try something you’ve never had before. Highly recommended :)

This place is the BEST one in Ontario in my opinion. Crown Pastries is my go-to whenever I've got a sweet craving or whenever I need to buy treats for an occasion. It's also a nice place to hang out for tea or late at night. I've visited the Mississauga location a few times and find that it is well situated, since it's surrounded by many restaurants. The staff are super friendly and they're always offering samples. Price is a bit pricy for some of pastries but it's worth every penny as what you pay for is quality, freshness and goodness. I've always heard great things about Crown Pastries but only recently got to try it. However, I've been going back over and over, ever since. Been there for both dine-in and take out. Love the customer service and their weekend specials. Their treat box also makes for a classy gift as they have a wooden box option (very nice and fancy).

If you’re looking for a good baklava spot, you came to the right place. They have such a huge variety of pastries and they’re all super yummy! The staff are so friendly too! They even let us try a couple pastries to taste it before we bought them. We went home and ate it with ice cream! Definitely recommend this spot ????????

What was unacceptable for me that they weighed the boxes of kunafa and they make us paid their weight as actual kunafa!! Wide variety of baklawa, knafeh and other middle-eastern sweets. The have a comfortable sit down area that can probably accommodate about 20 people. I loved the desserts they have , lot of veriaty and it’s so delicious ???? i wish i can go there everyday. but what I didn’t like is the unprofessional service of one of the staff members , he was not welcoming and didnt even smile . He kept asking me what do i want over and over again... , and not giving me the time too think carfully and try to see what fits my desire most . ! I don’t know i felt that it was very annoying at the customers perspective. I don’t remember his name but he is a tall guy long beard. However, the place has incredible middle eastern desserts but the that guy made me avoid going to this place Bcs of his service ethics. maybe the management should consider retraining him. The layout is nice and the service is nice but slow. Also, I wasn't happy with the selection and the lack of availability of smaller quantities or smaller sized desserts. All ma3moul were huge (big as an average palm). It was really nice of one of the servers to take the initiative and prepare a small box as a nice gesture for my disappointment.

I am putting this review and giving one star just because the staff do not push customers to wear masks and I was told that they can’t do anything about it. Today, we saw a lady with no mask there, claiming she had health conditions and walking all around the store and kept talking to everyone. If you are sensitive about wearing masks and considering the fact that all their pastries have no cover, I highly recommend not going there by the end of pandemic.

Today i was there December 27th 2020 The customer service is horrible, the cashier lady was arguing because she wanted 2 cents from me. I gave her 10$ she didn’t give me back my full change they owe me 3$ and she told me that she don’t have change to give back to me but she still needs the 2 cents!! I will never go back to this place i will advise all my friends to avoid this scam place

Visited with a family member who loves picking up some baked goods everytime he's in the area. Bought a - what I'll call - taster pack. Some of the best pastries I've ever had. Only unfortunate part is that I didn't get a chance to try their Turkish coffee as the machine wasn't working!

If -5 Star is an option for their poor customer service, I would do it I stopped by this place on Sunday afternoon to buy sweets, she told me they will be ready in half an hour. I came back after 40 min and she was on the phone care less about customers, when I asked her she was like "come back in 1 hour and half" she turned and went inside to continue her phone call!!! I waited her to come back, and I said 45 min ago you said 30 min, now an hour and half? She said that the driver with the order is coming from Oakville. Having a good product doesn't give you the right to have a bad attitude and bad customer service.

So, we loved this place until they changed their knafeh recipe. They have added yellow tumeric to their knafeh and it does not taste authentic and what we are used to. Please remove the tumeric and we will be customers again. The baklawa is good however when you are craving knafeh go elsewhere.

Extremely disappointed with the service and lack of items. We went in for knafe and this isn’t the first time that the kaake was not available. To top it all off the girl was very predjudice and stated only Lebanese people eat it with a kaake. Very offensive when over half your clientele is Lebanese. I’m never received such rude service. You have lost many customers and we will be going back to baklawa king as their service and products exceed expectations. As well we went in at 1:30pm the store opens at 12pm and none of the items were available or delivered. If a store opens at 12pm then items should be readily available to its customers. Will not be going back or ordering for any of our occasions any longer!

This place has the best middle eastern pastries in the entire GTA. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The store itself is absolutely beautiful inside. The have a huge variety of pastries like baklawa and variations on that. They also have knafeh. My husband and I initially just wanted to look around and see if they sold knafeh. We were greeted by a very polite and friendly gentleman and as we were looking around, he gave us each a slice of basbousa to try. I have never had such amazing basbousa! One of the best! We ordered a slice of knafeh and also some rolls of halawat el jibn. Both were 10/10 flavour wise. These guys know how to run a business. Customer service is pretty much perfect and prices are reasonable too, keep in mind you are getting really high quality goods at this place. I cannot wait to go back and try more of their baklawa options. Everything looked amazing. Crown Pastries is one of a kind.

They got really tasty Halawt Aljebn,the rest of desserts are just ok. Management needs to retrain the girl that works there, I visited the shop twice and in both occasions I didn't leave without buy something. Tonight I drove from Guelph to buy some desserts,but unfortunately the girl didn't greet us warmly, and she started to give me and my wife an attitude when we asked for some samples while we were ordering other stuff. She is probably tired due to being alone in the store or over worked. If this continues, the owner will definitely lose more customers. I personally will not drive again to specially shop from here. Edit : I went to the shop tonight and the CS was excellent.

I first tried Crown Pastries at their Scarborough location. To say I was extactic with the taste and quality would be a huge understatement. They make the best baklava I have ever tasted. When I heard they opened up in the westend I was super excited. Today I made it out there. Amazing, amazing amazing! You have to try it. The pistachio baklava was nutty and sweet without being over sweet.

I went there recently and they over charged me because I didn’t speak Arabic and/or didn’t look Middle Eastern. Not every Middle Eastern speaks the language regardless of that every customer should be charged and treated the same. I was very disappointed and will not go back.

Bought two arrangements over the holidays. Very delicious tasting treats. You can taste the freshness. Staff were fairly helpful. It wasn't pleasant to wait 20 minutes in line in the cold. Two customers in front of me apparently was not happy either and obviously spent way longer than me waiting in line. The service could have been a bit more efficient especially with three staff and only 2 customers with 6 little kids belonging to the same family. But it's also covid times and a little patience is needed. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

Those people will be reported for inspections by Provincial and territorial public health departments. This shop will be really big source for COVID-19 spreading.

They sell really good baklavas. And what made this review 5 star is the young lady who took our order. She is very friendly and accommodating. She tells you which ones are good/best seller if you're unfamiliar of the items and she let us try one of the baklavas. That was awesome. The lobby area is clean, and they adhere to a strict max people limit and social distancing ????

Went to the location on Oct 27th at 8pm. There were 5 of us who walked in for the first time in an empty store and there were two female employees working. They took 2 of my friend's order and after sometime while I was waiting to be served a few more customers walked in. So I asked the other employee if she could help serve me and she replied oh your group is being served by the other girl so she will help you...even when we were placing different orders individually. And she instead started taking orders of customers that walked in after us and cashed them out. Then she goes back to working on something else, clearly ignoring me. Then finally came my turn which I had to ask for once again...and the girl was ready to help me. She picked out a container for my order but then she saw four other customers waiting who had apparently placed a pickup order. So instead of serving me she said oh let me serve you guys first for the online order while the other employee was working in the back and could clearly see what was happening. The service was so terrible that I walked out and went to Baklava King. I had the worst experience at this place and I was looking to buy sweets for my parents. Based on this terrible service I will never come back here or recommend any of my friends or family. It's been over a month, and it's sad the owner still hasn't acknowledged the comment.

Its a nice spot for arabic desserts of all kinds. It was nice experience going here and the server was pleasant to interact with. 4/5 due to flavour. Not sure why the pistachios didnt taste good or have flavours...also I tasted many of them, now I know which one to go to next time haha

Both my family and I greatly enjoy the desserts that you guys offer. However, from our experience in purchasing from this location yesterday, our perspective has changed. I found that their standards of cleanliness was poor. Some of the employees had long open hair that was touching the desserts while serving. I also observed one of the employees touch their hair while continuing to serve. Lastly, I found some of the employees wore their masks incorrectly with their nose completely exposed. As we love this location, I hope this feedback would better the experience for everyone.
