Overall, there were a few small things needing improvement and I would have LOVED for the yeast goods to be fresher (there are some baked goods that can be baked in advance while others cannot sit around for long), but taste-wise, Georgian Bakery was very good and I would come back. -- "Mimi's Cake Tour"

On a whim my fiance and I decided to check out the Bakery that;s under new management and after tasting what we left with... I knew I needed to write something on their behalf. How and why Tim Horton's around the corner remains in business with the tastes of the coffee, donuts, soups and breads coming from this Bakery is beyond me. Their coffee is amazing, hints of flavor that do not overpower. Their apple fritters are the embodiment of the word fresh and best of all the donuts are not overpoweringly sweet, allowing for other flavors to take their place. If the products aren't enough than the kind and personal staff should be reason enough to visit your local bakery and say hello. Thank you for starting my morning off so well Georgian Bakery.

HWY 93? HWY 12? County Rd 6? GO OUT OF YOUR WAY. Georgian Bakery is fantastic. Amazing baked goods, friendly people and great local coffee! Take a walk down King St. The view topped with homegrown businesses like these make it worth taking a day trip, not just a detour.

Incredible donuts that would make Homer Simpson a proud regular customer these things are huge and very fairly priced, and freshly baked bread and goods that almost look to good to eat.... almost lol, very kind staff and a clean environment with a homely vibe you could very easily make them a family treat regular when you see and then try anything from their menu don't waste your time on chain fast food when Midlands lucky to have a place that makes even better homemade goodies support locals like this great place

Based on other purchases I bought their $20 pie. It was over kneaded & could only be cut by a serrated knife.Most of my book club declined to have a piece as the pastry was so tough. I talked to the owner & he was not interested & said it was their receipe. Hence I will use another bakery.

Nice sélection of baked goods, cookies tarts, pies, bread and very important to me the best apple fritters, yum. Nice helpful staff and a plesant owner. Very clean. No puff pastry items yet.. Boohoo come on Midland give these guys a chance I will be back regularly.

Went in for donuts, unfortunately it was too late in the day and they were gone( not surprising as I have heard that are phenomenal and go fast) so we ended up with a Ganache pie and a s'mores square which were AWESOME!! I will be back earlier the next time for some apple fritters!!!

I used Georgian bakery for my little girls birthday cakes. They staff was very friendly and helpful. I must say this years cake was the best yet!! Not one detailed was missed. Amazing flavour!! I’ll definitely be a returning customer!

I can't attest to everything here as we were there mid-afternoon Friday and the donuts were sold out, but the butter tarts were delicious! The little bit of caramelization and light pastry was devine (not the thick tough crust of so many other places). Didn't like that most things were wraped in plastic wrap. This is very out of character for fresh baked goods. I know covid has changed things, but they are in a case, and with tongs they can be served by staff without touching. We have been to several other good Ontario bakeries that are not doing this.

We got butter tarts from here on a whim when we were visiting from out of town and they were AMAZING! I think about them often (and this was months ago) and have been searching for ones as good as these. I'm looking forward to coming back and buying them again. The other stuff looked good too, but I can only speak to the plain butter tarts. Friendly service as well. Thanks!

Not as if we bought 2nd day old bread and donuts like from Walmart, but this is a bakery in town supposedly baking fresh bread, donuts, cookies, etc.. Chocolate dipped donuts were totally dry like two or three day old ones. Bread like donuts was no way fresh baked bread and if so then better change how you make it. Maybe they had a bad day, so will try them again, hopefully bread and donuts will be a hell of alot better.

If you're in Midland and are craving a donut, steer clear of any Timmies location and make your way to Georgian Bakery. I've always been in love with their chocolate dip, one of the most delicious versions of a classic.

The cutest bakery! We walked by it in our way down to the water thinking that we would grab some treats on our way back up, only to find that they had sold out of most of the things we had our eyes on within the hour. Friendly staff, great treats! 100% worth adding to your "must see list" of Downtown midline! I'd love to return and try all the treats especially as they freshly come out!

I saw the photos online and waited months to try this bakery out, and I have to say, I was disappointed. Got a 6 pack of assorted donuts (because of covid, they are prepacked so you can't choose your flavours) and while they are huge.. they were all very dry (almost bread-like) and very oily. The dips (chocolate dip, oreo dip, sprinkles) crumbled off the tops because the donuts were so oily. Apple fritter barely had any apple in it. Cannolis and eclairs were delicious though.

First Time in Midland and found a bakery that truly is one of a kind. The owner is very hospitable and his baked goods are second to none. I only got a few things, and once that I got home I was so sorry that I didn’t get more The owner will cut me to the town with an apple fritter let me just say what a welcoming that was the best apple fritter I’ve ever had yes I will definitely be back

"You had one job." The new owners and staff are friendly but the donuts and apple fritters are consistently awful. They are very oily all the way through and oily crispy on outside. We recently went back hoping they improved but sadly no. The apple fritter was even worse. It weighed down with oil all the way through. I could squeeze the oil out. I persevered but had to stop eating it, I was feeling ill from eating all that oil. Also, their butter tarts are quite poor as well. Crystalized sugar running out of the shell and burnt onto bottom. I didn't mind eating it but really not a great example of a butter tart. I really wanted to like this place and support the only independent local bakery. But I just can't buy those donuts until they improved seriously. I'll stick to the bread and flour.

Disappointing Butter Tart Doughnut at the Butter Tart Festival. Look at the pictures. Looked good, but look at how far we had to eat into the doughnut (3/4 of the way through) before I found the filling. Sadly, that was about the extent of the filling as well, so hardly any. This had potential. I would like to say that this was a aberration, but looks like somebody else had the same experience today too. Store inside was also not busy, which might be an indicator. Yikes! Good news is that the people working there were very friendly, so hopefully things can get turned around.

Thought I would give this a try instead of Barrie bakeries. Walked in and the staff were on their phone and not nice. Not a lot of selection and the biggest thing is this place was very very dirty!! Do not recommend

I have been purchasing the apple fritters a dozen at a time for years. Always keeping them in the freezer for a nice treat or when company comes. We have raved about them and so has anyone who has enjoyed them with us. Unfortunately since there have been new owners, they aren't the same. It appears that the recipe has changed several times and the last dozen that I purchased just last week tasted different again. They were very dry and hardly any apple pieces! Please go back to the original recipe and add more apple pieces!

Not sure what happened to the iconic GBB donuts, but the donuts I got yesterday are definitely not them. They are dry and lack flavour & the chocolate glaze tastes like wax. So disappointing.

Amazing donuts and nice service. I had made an order in advance, but it was missed when I got there to pick it up. Smaller shop/store. The entrance felt crowded, even with only 4 people in the store. I would highly recommend the apple fritters. The selection was great and it is centrally located. I would go again.

I received a gift of cookies today from the georgian bakery . they look beautiful , and they tasted amazing , I can honestly say grandma could NOT have made better cookies (sorry grandma) ! why would I ever spend days in the kitchen making cookie that would never be as good as I could get from the georgian bakery! THE NEW OWNERS ARE DOING A GREAT JOB !

I am not from around Midland but I was visiting and stopped in to buy 2 sugar twists today. I was very disappointed to say the least, these twists were overcooked, not fresh and very hard. I hope it was a one-off because selling what appeared to be two day old (or older) food will drive away business in a hurry.

Horrible experience ordered some gingerbread for my decorate a gingerbread event with my children. When picking up had to inform the OWNER how many we had purchased to get home and realized he hadn’t given us the whole order. When I called the store to discuss this he was rude talking over me and told me I either picked up today (which I had to drive clear across town) or I would lose the money. HORRIBLE customer service for a small town business
