Used to be one of my favourite restaurants to go to in town. But after a few bad visits I stopped going. The staff changes constantly so you never know how good or bad the service will be, food is bland and is portioned really small for what you pay. last time I stopped in, I had breakfast and ordered a bacon and cheese omelet pretty much with a few veggies like peppers and onions. After eating half of it I noticed some of the onions were bright blue and there was corn and jalapeno bits mixed in near the centre. I didnt get sick or anything but I didnt eat anything else after seeing that.

The food was awful, cold, tasteless, greasy and presented sloppily. The restaurant it self was dirty, had food on the floor, the booth had dry ketchup crusted on it, as did the wall, my hands stuck to the table surface and there was an overwhelming stench of burnt fish. The waitress seemed to be confused that she was in fact a waitress. Anyway, I will never eat there again nor will I recommend it to anyone.

We went there to day for the prime rib special. I asked for it med rare and was told the best they can do is medium so I ordered it that way. When it arrived it was very well done and dry as can be. I asked the waitress if they had any that was medium instead of well done and she went back to ask the cook. She then returned and said it was all well done. This was at 4:30 pm so can you imagine what this will be like around 6:00 pm? Very disappointed as Perkins is usually pretty good most of the time and for 22 bucks for a 8 oz piece it should come the way you order it .

Gluten-friendly - maybe. Gluten-safe - not really. Admittedly, my wife has acute chronic celiac disease, but many restaurants do an acceptible job ensuring she doesn't suffer from cross contamination. This Perkins has a gluten-free menu, and we believe they tried. For 9 out of 10 people with celiac disease it might have been OK. We do eat out. This morning we had to. It was too bad it didn't work out for one of us. My meal was good. Service was prompt and reasonable. The decor has been updated a bit. Still, the problem with the gluten-free meal cost at least one if not two stars in this review. Eat with caution if you have allergies.

So we get seated, server is very nice, but after she takes our order she disappears in the back. Sounds like a party going on and super loud. I look around and I don’t see a worker anywhere. There all in the back. We wait for close to forty minutes for our food, being that we were there at 4:30 and barely anyone else was in the restaurant, that’s unacceptable. I approached the manager, who was scowling at me, I said,” Um, hi. We’ve been waiting for over thirty minutes and I was wondering when our food will be ready.” Just then our food comes out. Pancakes were burnt, scrambled eggs were over cooked to the point that they were dry and browned. Belgian waffle was great. And who still has sugar twin for sweatier (ever hear of cancer people, not to mention it bitter and ruins a decent cup of coffee. Biggest waste of $35 Never going back.

Every time I visit I am astonished at the quality and quantity of the food, and the price. Someone in that kitchen must be able to magically find the ingredients. IHOP just opened up down the road, and I gave them one chance. Perkins has better waitstaff, better food, lower prices, and above all, a delicious offering of food. Easily my favourite place to eat.

She refused to even check the ingredients list until I asked several times for her to check regardless of her being "sure". She came back with two ingredients my son was allergic to. The meal was okay, but the mashed potatoes I got with it tasted fake, the stuffing was clumpy and a bit over cooked, but the gravy, turkey and asparagus was really yummy. The staff was really friendly, and the pie is fantastic. Not a huge selection for supper type meals, but lots of breakfast and lunch options.

I took my Mother here early morning, Had to track someone down in the kitchen to find us seats because we had to wait nearly 10 minutes before I decided to find someone, once seated I was not asked for my drink. I again had to track someone down to ask for a soft drink. She brought us coffee without even asking us, but luckily she wanted coffee so whatever. Our waitress would stand by our table and space out at the wall for minutes at a time, it was strange and weird. She would stand there starin at the wall like a zombie, no lights on upstairs at all. I ordered a burger, it came to me without any sauce at all, over cooked dry meat, not a single drop of any house signature sauce, ketchup, mustard, nothing at all. I asked a lady if my burger if its supposed to have signature sauce, she said yes but they ran out, then walked away, I then again had to track someone down so I could at least get some mayo for my burger. When the bill came she charged me for two coffees instead of one, I dont drink coffee, so she gave me the difference back in cash I had to pay nearly $50 for two meals, My Moms meal was good, my frys were good. The burger was complete garbage, the service was weird and disorderly. Someone from the kitchen could have at least told me there is no sauce and offered me something else or offered me some solution instead of passing me off as some dumpster customer who deserves less.

Driving back from Regina we decided to stop for a bite, we were seated asked what we wanted to drink. That was the last we seen our server, she never came back. We never got our drinks watched a regular come in and get seated and served immedietly. We got up and left will never go back, terrible service and most likely the food would have been bad as well. Lesson learned stay away from chain restaurants.

Great food and great service. I was passing through the hat on a return trip home and after such a lovely experience in the Calgary location I wanted more. The breakfast burger was on my list and it was definitely worth it.

Tonight my boyfriend and I decided to come here for dinner, i have never been here and my boyfriend has and he told me how good it was so we walked in was seated right away. First our booth was dirty but we got our drinks fast. When a waitress came over immediately after and asked if we were ready to order and we said not yet. Then we sat there for what felt like hours there was people that came in long ofter us that already had their food and we were still waiting to be served there was workers walking around fooling around in the kitchen etc you could hear them singing and laughing so we finally got so frustrated with waiting we got up and left very very poor service and will never ever go there again for sure ruined my experience and you have shown what your name is around this city a horrible restaurant!

6/17 about 2 P.M. Service was slow and inattentive but he was friendly and seemed overwhelmed. Salmon was overcooked dry and hard broccoli was cooked to mush patty melt was made with frozen pressed beef and soy patties (it tasted like soy anyhow) with a weird texture. I expected much more but was left feeling like I was cheated.
