This place is awesome! I don’t usually drink coffee, but I like french vanillas from Tim Hortons and asked if they have anything on the menu that would be similar. They whipped me up something special (I still don’t what was actually in it or how to recreate it), and it was AMAZING! Superior taste AND design to anything you get from Tims (even if my picture doesn’t do it justice). I also tried the chai latte, and it was super yummy too, perfect ratio of everything, and no sickly sweet syrup like you get at some other places. Super friendly staff that know what they’re doing. Definitely going many more times before I leave town!

My go-to coffee shop in the Hat. Very warm and cozy, large and varied drink selection, and decent food options too. Owners and employees are very personable and love to chat with all customers. Today I got a "Canadiano" which I overheard the owner describe as "pretty much exactly the same as an Americano but just more polite." And, I got the roasted red pepper and ham quiche. The quiche was tasty, though a bit saltier than I'd prefer. Their other baked goods are very good, and my fiancé really liked the date bar as well. I'll always try and come here whenever I visit the Hat. Support your local businesses, especially if they're this good!

A small, local coffee roaster in the heart of downtown Medicine Hat, what more could you want? I had a 16oz 50 Cal medium roast, which had a nice, well rounded flavor I prefer light roasts with brighter, fruity flavors but they had no light roasts brewing when I dropped by. I would visit again when in town, for sure!

Some of the best roasted coffee I've had anywhere in North America, hands down, and for a decadent summer treat the Malted Milk Espresso Shake is absolutely delicious without being overpoweringly sweet. Great oldschool ambiance in the cafe, too, just feels classy. A must-visit.

There are many coffee shops which use coffee beans that is roasted long time ago. They do not care when it's roasted. However, this coffee shop's beans is fresh(I guess). So of course, coffee is amazing! I had 50 caliber. I have not heard 50 caliber beans. Maybe it's blended beans? :) and maybe it's different level roast? light and dark roasts? Mixing different roast level for blended coffee is taboo in Japan. But I have done it for my cafe:) Anyway, I am so happy to find great coffee beans!!!

The coffee here is always fantastic. The service is great and the atmosphere is chill and peaceful. Lots of vegan dairy replacements and snack options, though not much as far as full meals. From time to time they have veggie paninis with hummus that are to die for. Love the Mad Hatter house blend for take home coffee.

Love coming here, the staff are so friendly and welcoming, I know if I am having a bad day, it will be better when I leave. I come in for my 5pm high test and every barista remembers me so I rarely have to ask! Coffee there is amazing, many different varieties and roasts and the staff is very knowledgeable and will share tips and tricks on making great coffee. I highly recommend Madhatter's for a great cup of coffee and a pleasant stay if you choose to stay and enjoy it at the shop as the atmosphere and style of coffee shop is warm and welcoming as well.

IMO this guy is roasting the best espresso blend in Alberta, potentially Western Canada. Just 2 minutes from the highway makes for a small detour, the roastery is going to play a key role in changing the face of Medicine Hat in the following decade. The service and atmosphere are also great, but as it should the coffee is what makes this place worth the visit. I was pleasantly surprised to find this place when I was sent to Medicine Hat for 2 weeks. Well done!
