It's good for such a small store but they got rid of plastic bags so if you forget a reusable bag you have to use inconvenient paper or spend $5+ on reusable bags. Considering that many stores stopped allowing people to use reusable bags due to sanitary reasons this is extremely dumb. But the staff is nice and the selection is not bad, but keep in mind this is a fairly small store.

Extremely unprofessional staff... cluttered and dingy store. Witnessed two cashiers complaining about a customer right in front of me... Also, a female supervisor was complaining about the same customer to another customer! Her and I both shook our heads upon leaving the store, and agreed that the service was terrible!

I can't over state the intrinsic value of a neighborhood grocery store. The staff are great people, and the store has good produce and a good selection of specialized Asian groceries. Prices are higher on some items but worth it to keep a grocery store in walking distance.

I love the store. They tend to have more exotic fruit than other supermarkets around town. The downside is the store isn't very large. I understand that Medicine Hat isn't a very large market, but when Sobey's opened, the IGA should've been upgraded to follow suit!

There was alot of items on for 50% off which would have been all right if the items were actually in stock because the majority of anything that they'd had posted for 50% off the shelf was empty so I kind of find it pointless to have something on sale that you don't even have to offer to your customers. And which person doesn't like Excel but when that sale is just false hopes that's when it really sucks my advice would probably be that if you're if you know that you guys are going to something on sale they make sure you actually have what you are offering.

I pretty much live next door, and I didnt go in for my regular shop for a week and a bit once. The lady ringing me through said "hey, I haven't seen you in a while? Are you doing alright?". That's a big thing for me, you dont get remembered at superstore or Walmart. I'm bipolar and sometimes during the lows I feel very alone, and its little things like that, that's why I shop here! They did up a custom meat order for me when i was giving away meals at christmas. It was exactly as I wanted and ready the day I needed it, and came in just under budget! I also absolutely love their premade sandwhiches too, and although they aren't a huge store, they still have absolutely everything that I need! I'm proud to spend my money here, because the corporation it goes to is Vince, his employees and more stock!
