I tried this place for the first time. Service was mediocre at best. I had the salmon burger which was bland. It should have been seasoned. The fries were good. My friends had eggs Benedict and bacon and eggs. It was strictly average. Truthfully I was a little disappointed. It looked like a cool local hole in the wall type place but didn't deliver.

I've lived it n Medicine Hat for over 20 years and this is the first time I have ever been there. The food is delicious. I had soup and sandwich. Big BLT sandwich and a great bowl of bean and bacon soup. My hiaband had a delicious club house. Everything was homemade and fresh. Prices are very reasonable and service was efficient I'll be back..

We go Friday's for breakfast the early bird special is a great deal. Good fluffy pancakes, eggs cooked to order and the fried potatoes are always a little crispy.

They're breakfast is the best in the world i would give you my left hand for there breakfast and dinner and supper well to put it bluntly there food is the best in town and I should know I've been a chef for over 30 years. As for the chocolate shop just keep doing what you guys do best. And don't forget to leave a real good tip cause they are working real hard to keep us all happy and bellies full.

I would return. Two super thin pieces of bacon. Strong coffee. My wife asked tea with honey and they brought the tea but said they had no honey. It was 3.95 for two very tiny pieces of gluten free toast.

The Chocolate Shop is not really a chocolate shop at all but it's origins began as that and thus it's identification sticks with the locals. It's a quaint 50's style diner with "the basics" type menu but everything on it is delicious with the goodness of home cooked taste. Service is good and your meal comes piping hot. If you're looking for bland, franchise ambiance, this won't be for you, otherwise it's a great affordable little place to meet and eat. Enjoy!

Really excellent breakfast. I knew I was in for a treat when they asked if I wanted shredded or chunk potatoes. Different types of breakfast require different types of potato, and they have things covered. Great bacon, eggs cooked as ordered, and coffee kept refilled without asking. Could it get better - yes - they had sourdough toast.

I was excited to try out this place when my parents came into town this week because they love old diners. The excitement ended when the waitress came to the table to take our orders. She was probably the rudest waitress I’ve ever dealt with. Multiple eye rolls and sighs when simple questions were asked about the menu, a shrug of the shoulders when she was asked what type of tea they had, and a complete prescience of us being there was putting her out! What gives? The food was mediocre, just typical diner food, a little expensive for what it was. But a sour taste was left in my mouth when we left with the service or lack there of that was given! It seems a shame because it is a funky place but they need an over haul with their staff.

Went there a couples day ago with my mom for breakfast. We sat down and weren't acknowledged for 15 minutes. 2 other tables who came in after us and they were taken care of. So Then when my mom went to go ask if we could get our drink order the waitress was extremely rude. We left after she treated us like that.

First time visitor and it was great! Had the Monte Cristo with fries and gravy. The fries were cooked perfectly and the gravy was delicious. The sandwich was really good, had lots of melty cheese. The service was fast and friendly. Will definitely recommend this little diner to anyone.
