S2 is the only bakery in the city that provides this level of high quality cakes and pastries. The Rocher cake is something everyone needs to try. And the croissants are the best In Winnipeg - yes better than Tall Grass and Stella’s.

Update...And the best croissants! I just had one this morning that's 2 days old and still phenomenal. Definitely the best macarons in Winnipeg (and I would argue Paris! We certainly didn't find any better when we visited last summer!). And the entrements make for a truly impressive 'special occasion' (aka a Wednesday! lol) treat.

Stopped by on my birthday to try this bakery that's far in the heart of Charleswood. The items are exceptionally rich. The croissants we chose were heavy with butter. They do not skimp out. We did the rose lychee, the almond croissant and a cheese one. The s'mores choux was very indulgent. I very much enjoyed the roasted marshmallows on top. The cream filling is very very dense and heavy. The rocher petite gateaux that is a fererre rocher transformed into a perfect mini cake. We did have a hard time picking our favorite. Service was very friendly and helpful. The baker Sophon Chhin attended l'Ecole Gastronomique Bellouet Conseil in Paris, France. He has also interned at Pierre Hermé pâtisseries. His schooling has obviously paid off with these beautiful, but not importantly absolutely delicious creations You pay a bit more for these petite gifts, but they are a perfect treat to brighten ☀️ anyone's day. There is no place to sit and eat. This is standing room only. Parking is available in the lot.

actually amazing. best croissant ive ever had. im always skeptical of baked goods in open air, but it didnt matter here. it tasted so fresh and the thin crunch on the outside added so much flavor. soft and rich on the inside. highly recommend. you will not regret it

Wow. What a hidden gem. The pastries are delicate, intricate and delicious. We bought a chocolate croissant, dark chocolate choux, a rocher and a bachour. We couldn't believe how much cream they manage to fit into the choux (very similar to a cream puff). Just such fantastic flavours and the service was was amazing as well. We will be returning over and over again!

Just like the Ube donut I tried from Oh Doughnuts, my 3 friends and I first tasted their Macarons from Sugar Blooms. Then the woman at SB told us of this Baker. I could probably spend a friday night eating these creations Ha! you should atleast try the Choux! it's like a cream puff, when I first bit into it, it reminded me of an ice cream drum stick cone, filled with whipped ganache or flavored filling. Never have we ate something so indulgent like that. I tried the Chocolate and Ube but for sure we will be back for more and want to try them all. Well the people of Charles wood are lucky to have this dessert shop in their area. I would expect to see this downtown or in the Forks area. Looking forward to my return.

The biggest problem I have is deciding what to get. It's all sooooo good! The croissants are unbelievable! Macarons are on point and not too sweet. Cinnamon rolls will blow your mind. Anything caramel is a must! First time trying the Rocher cake today... Will be back for that again too! Everyone working there are friendly and helpful as well! 10/10!

Yes the prices are higher than other bakeries but you will not find better tasting croissants in the city! This place is a weekly must! My favorites are the Ube croissant, plain croissant, Bachour cake and Rocher choux (Rocher has limited availability; follow his Instagram to know when their made!)

For a dinner party we tried all four of the entremets and several of the tarts. They were all amazing. So beautifully presented, and they taste even better than they look. They are probably the best desserts I've ever tried here in Winnipeg. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is so fresh and modern looking, you would not guess you were in a Charleswood strip mall.

Everyone is hesitant trying a new place, but don't be with S Squared Patisserie. Their Macarons are top quality and the best in the city. Definitely worth the drive to try these out. After that do what I did and try everything else he has to offer when you can! I've never been disappointed with what they have. Thank you for always providing the best flavour and quality!

YOU NEED TO TRY IT OUT Honestly the best croissants in the city! They are buttery, delicate and they always have that perfect crunch. Fresh everyday!!! What I love most is that they are always experimenting with different flavours. Lately it was pistachio galore!!! From macarons, to petit gâteau, choux (cream puffs), croissants... And everything in between.... Love it! We try to make it a weekly stop.

Paris in our city...who would have know. It's not until you walk into to this little bakery/pastry which feels like an art gallery of beautiful creations in a room filled the best baking smells that makes you want to try EVERY thing!!!! You won't be disappointed nor will your taste buds.

S Squared has the best macarons in Winnipeg. They have the right amount of crunch and chew and always look perfect. I have never been disappointed with anything I've tried here. I usually would not want to try flavors like Ispahan, blueberry cheesecake and Earl Grey but anything you try will taste great. In fact, Ispahan is probably my favorite flavour now. They also have the best choux I've ever tasted and amazing croissants in many flavors. My family has recently gone on a diet and honestly, the toughest part is not being able to come here anymore! Anything you buy here will definitely be worth the price. I would recommend anything caramel or the almond croissants if they have them in stock.

I'm usually a lurker and don't post, but I had to for this place. Simply the best pastries I've ever had. The real star of the show are their croissants. They're so flakey and give a beautiful buttery crunch with each bite. Very well made with quality ingredients you can actually taste. As mentioned in prior reviews, this place could give you sticker shock, but I believe the prices match the quality of the baked goods. This place is a step above any other bakery in town. Highly recommended!!!

They create the most unique desserts, such as their burger for Le Burger Week or the flavours for their petit gateaux. Everything is perfectly presented, and tastes as great as it looks. The reason I gave four stars is because ever since they reduced their hours, I have been unable to go because I work long hours at the hospital.

I used to go to l’Épi de blé for my macarons and La Belle Baguette for my croissants, because they were the best in the city. My friend decided to tag me on one of S2’s posts on instragram, so I decided to drive to their location (my only critique is that they are located out of the way). I tried their macarons, almond croissants, and hot chocolate...they were all beyond phenomenal. Everything was fresh and they have classic and unique flavours. The staff was very nice. I highly recommend this place for your baked goods! Next on my list to try, is their Ferrero Rocher cake.

I just ate the best freaking cream puff (profiterole) that I’ve ever had in my entire life from S2 Patisserie!!!! My husband had a Ferraro Rocher cake and it was damn delicious. Roblin is a drive across the city, but thanks to our friend, he delivered these delicious treats to our door. Can’t wait to taste these treats again!!

I can say with out a doubt, that as far as Pastries go this place is by far the best in Winnipeg. Between the Croissants and Cinnamon Buns that will essentially melt in your mouth (while still being tender and flaky) to the refreshing sorbet/gelato bars.. There's not a thing here I couldn't recommend.. Sure its higher on price than some of its competitors, but you get every cents worth in Quality and Flavor

The croissants are flaky, buttery, and the stuff that dreams are made of. Their choux are creative and filled with the creamiest and most delicious fillings.
