Light, creamy, not too sweet - delicious chilled (not baked) cheesecake. I had the chocolate raspberry and it reminded me of a really good (real) ice cream from my childhood, but lighter, with more subtle flavours. Oh, and I don't like typical cheesecake as I find it too heavy, but this is something I'd gladly request for my birthday dessert. I also am not a sweets person, I don't like cake, and I prefer dark chocolate - yet I now have a favourite cheesecake shop!

Cheesecakes were amazing!!! Coffee was good too. Nice and quiet little nook, great place to spend catching up with a friend. Would highly recommend. I'm just not sure if you are able to order 2 of the same kind of mini on display, as their was only one per kind when we went. Either way, all the choices were so tasty and delicious. I'll definitely be back!

I called because I needed a cheesecake for an event. The lady I talked on the phone to was EXTREMELY helpful. I wanted to get message written on the cake the lady gave me her phone number and I texted her what I wanted written. The handwriting was really good and they decorated the cake too.

Over the years I have come to this cute little shop in St.Vital. It has been a perfect meeting place! Their cheesecake is oh so creamy and light. I'm sure you'll love it. They also have tasty drinks. Staff there are always able to suggest something, if you're unsure what to try (drink or cheesecake). You can dine in or take out...for take out, their cakes are frozen and thaw in time for you to enjoy. Dining in? Choose from a huge variety of tasty cakes. May I suggest Key Lime! And to drink, I love their London Fog. Yum yum! I've had other drinks there, and they were good too. Service here is awesome. As I mentioned above, the staff/owner is always ready to provide a tasty suggestion or help you with an oh so difficult decision, when it comes to what cake should you try today! Seating is good for 1, 2, 3 or more! Parking is ample, in the shared strip mall lot. What more can I say about this little shop...go and try it for yourself, you're sure to find something you enjoy! Oh, they even have low sugar options and full size cheesecakes...the options are endless!

It is difficult to describe how incredible Double D’s Cheesecake and Coffee is! You have to try it to know but nevertheless, here’s my review where I probably overshare. Just ecstatic I have found a staple cheesecake spot. I had the Skor mini cheesecake while my boyfriend had the Apple Caramel. Both were delicious! The filling portion was so flavourful yet not overpowering like many cheesecakes are. But the texture is what really set this cheesecake apart from the rest; the filling is so soft and light that it literally melts in your mouth. The crust is smooth, moist and not overly dense, providing a nice contrast between the two. We loved the cheesecakes so much that we ended up buying some of the frozen minis to keep frozen at home, to eat at a later date. That later date will probably be tonight for me honestly. I typically feel weighed down after indulging in cheesecake - was not the case here! I attribute that to the fluffiness of the filling. I had a cappuccino which was also very good - I like my coffee and was very surprised by how awesome it was. Price wise, I didn’t find it out of the ordinary for a dessert establishment - especially for the quality! The service, presentation and atmosphere were fabulous as well. We will be singing high praises to our friends and family to try this place out! Life long customers right here.

Writing this review actually makes me sad. This used to be my favorite place in town to go for cheese cake and coffee. But their cheese cake is no longer as creamy and well plated as they used to. And their coffee is not as good as it used to be. Don't get me wrong. It is till good dessert but not really a "cheese" cake anymore. More of fluffed cheesy whipped cream cake. And plating used to be very pretty and they would ask us what we want on the cake, now is like.."oh, you want stuff on it. Ok. Here. Take it." Will i go there again..? Probably...Not. I will now just buy some cheese cake at safeway.

What INCREDIBLE service!! I placed my delivery order for my best friend for her birthday through skip the dishes. Double D's included some candles for her and even marked the box saying Happy Birthday Bobbi. So wonderful to deal with!! I have had this cheesecake on many occasions and it keeps me not only coming back for more but now I will be sending it to everyone for their special days! Amazing service and product!

I arrived at 2130, my cheese cake was frozen and not very good. My drink was very sweet and I could not drink it. The staff was pleasant. I found the prices very high for a small piece of cake. The cheesecake I had tasted cheap over sweet , melted as it defrosted and was not pleasant to look at.This is not real cheesecake more of a cream cake.

Great cheese cake. Bought 6 mini heart shaped cheesecakes for my girlfriend. We shared ????and both loved!!! Crust had a bit more cinnamon taste than what we were both used to. After a few bites we both agreed, the stronger cinnamon flavour was a nice contrast. Great service, very nice gentleman served me. Would highly recommend. Order was take out and nicely packaged for carrying. Wish had fancier box for gifting. Never asked may have had.

10/10 cheesecake experience! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Pictured here are creamy classic, Rolo, Oreo, pistachio, banana cream, and mocha swirl. Each of them were delicious! Super light and refreshing, especially when slightly frozen. Definitely will come again!

We love so many of their cheesecakes. There are so many, so definitely enough variety to please everyone. You can get variety packs, which are awesome, and definitely the way to go if you want variety! You keep these frozen and eat them right out of the freezer. This has pros and cons. First, the cake isn’t a true heavy “cheesecake”, like you would expect; it is very light and must be eaten in a more frozen state. While the cheesecake is quite enjoyable, it can be difficult to serve with guests, as the cheesecake literally melts after being out for too long (again only an issue when hosting larger gatherings, where dessert tends to sit out while people mingle). While the cheesecake itself is great, the crust is not my favourite. It is very crumbly and doesn’t stay together. A minor issue, but worth noting, especially if you love a thick/solid crust. Overall, excellent cheesecake.

I may love their cinnamon buns and coffee cake MORE than their cheesecake... it’s hard to choose! Gluten free options available for cheesecake as well (crust-less).

Have been to Double D's many times and never disappointed! The mini cheesecakes or the baking go so well with a beverage there (peppermint Hot Chocolate is my fav). I've taken a variety of full size cheesecakes to potlucks and they have always been a hit. I highly recommend it.

I was so happy to find a sugar free cheesecake, only to bring it home and find out it's barely a cheesecake. It's light and fluffy, basically a creme brule. So disappointed, too many fillers, where's the cheese????

I recently bought a variety 6 pack. They had good selection and friendly service. The cheese cake was not what I was expecting though. It was very light and almost mousse like filling, far from what I've tasted anywhere else. Perhaps this cute cheesecake house is known for this style of cheesecake but I was hoping for more cream cheese filling and more of a thicker cheesecake. 24.99$ for 6 individual size servings. Just my opinion, I guess some people enjoy filling with the density of whip cream. This is not a negative review by any means but a heads-up if you are looking for more of a New-York style cheese cake. Still tasty though.
