My mom picked up some cronuts for us today. They were out of Boston cream but they offered to make some which was nice. I'm a Ferrero Rocher fan but found the cronut too sweet. Oreo is probably my favorite, it was the least sweet of them all.
Their donuts are fantastic. I bought a variety and each one was amazing. I didn't know what to expect and when I took my first bite I was taken aback. They're hefy. Definitely don't try to eat on a near full stomach!
Fresh fresh fresh. And Belgian chocolate
Loved the matcha brioche.
Looks like an awesome place ....have to arrive earlier......only a couple pieces of pastries left !!!
OMG~! the BEST Pastry place in Winnipeg~! Highly Recommend
The Boston cream cronut is life. ($5.25) The pain au chocolate was fine. The duign Amann was also fine ($4.50) Their business needs a bit of work though. Their board is full of delicious things but they only had 2 items in. We were told to come back for the Boston cream cronut. It was defintely worth the wait. However my friend wanted to order one and was unable. We had both come back before the time they told us but because I had told her to hold some she did. They did not have any extras at all. My advice is to pre order. I think if they are clear to their clients on how they want this to work (pre order will guarantee you get your goods) that it would be easier for people to understand. It currently isn't clear. The food is a 5 for the sake that the cronut could be the only thing they sell and I'd come back. The service/way things are handled is more a 2. Service was friendly but difficult to understand at times. I still gave a 4 because I'd still return. I just can't love it when it's so difficult to get your items. It's not a hard fix so when they do iron it out I'll happily upgrade the rating. interestingly enough my review for thaw was still here but I have deleted it to replace it with the proper review for Camille's bakery.
Amazing pastries here, you have to call ahead and order what you want as they run out very quickly!! I recommend the Boston cream cronut or the chocolate croissant
nice servic, breads delicious
Great outlet for all your fun pastries and lots more????
Good food but terrible service. The girl was not friendly at all
Lovely little place with delicious cronuts.
All I can say is this place is amazing. It’s about $5 a cronut but was well worth it. Flavors were fantastic and quality made. Only thing is they sell out fast. Better off ordering ahead of time. We will be back
Their chocolate croissant is delicious! I can’t wait to go back & try more!
Amazing pastries! We have been looking forward to going for a while, and it did not disappoint. The selection changes weekly and they have limited options. The shop had people coming and going during our entire visit. Limited drink menu: drip coffee and tea, for a small sit down area if you choose to. Will be going again to try their other options.
The best thing I ever put in my mouth
The baking is amazing. They sell out quickly so best bet is to be there early. The cronuts are the best. They don't have a huge selection of baked goods but what they do have is well worth trying.
The cronuts were delicious and packed with cream/custard filling. However, I think the amount of filling sort of overshadow the flaky texture the pastry is supposed to have. The first few bites were amazing but it felt a bit heavy and at the end I had to force myself to finish my treat. They also charge at a premium price for their pastries. It is nice to have once in a long time but I would not visit on a regular basis.
Really fun place making cronuts and has models of each one. Almost a museum feel inside but still really like the cronuts. Very rich and flavorful. Great price point for the offerings. Wish they resold Some cronuts to food Co-op so buying was easier. I did enjoy the plain cronut most.
The owner is sweet! I appreciate the convenient curbside pick up when I asked for it, rather than coming inside. The hours are difficult to work around sometimes and I find they are often closed when I try to go grab a cronut. The cronuts are WORTH IT! Especially the lemon one. It's our favorite. Would also suggest trying the salted caramel one. An absolute treat.
Ordered by phone the day before for pick-up the next day. Updated flavours are posted throughout the week on their Instagram. CRONUTS we tried: Oreo (top left) Original (top right) Ferrero Rocher (bottom left) and Boston Cream (bottom right) These are HUGE (and heavy in weight) compared to a regular doughnut. Very flaky as it should be and crunchy but still moist. They are quite filled but surprisingly not overly sweet even with the sugar dusting. Suggest trying 1 or 2 for yourself as these can get you very full! These were split between two people but we still had left overs. I would have enjoyed the regular cronut more if it had a glaze since all the other cronuts had the same sugar dusting. Overall, give this place a try if you haven't had a cronut yet!
They have great baked items. Try the Matcha buns! When fresh, it has a nice crispy top, but soft inner center. Also, they provide one free coffee if you buy more than two items.
We went around 1pm and they only had stale day old cronuts which is really weird. Like a bakery that doesn't have any inventory by the afternoon(?). They didnt have much selection and they didnt tell us they were day old or offer a discount on their old pastries at all. It was like $8 for one pastry and they were not good. I was quite disappointed esp because there are so many bakeries here that offer delicious croissants and cronuts for much cheaper.
Great pastries! Wonderful service too!
Was simply blown away by the quality of their product ! Amazing variety of flavours - any excuse to drive past here and stop in I take it. Wishing them continued success.
Ordered via DoorDash Pickup. The best Pain au Chocolat I’ve tasted so far! The cronuts are amazing as well! The ham and cheese croissant is very tasty! Been getting my pastries from this place when it was still called “The Thaw”.
Camille bakery is amazing! Also the girls are very kind and welcoming, it was our first time visiting, and for sure will be one of our favorite places to go… The almond croissant was to die for! Everything very tasteful and generous size! We’d definitely recommend it.
Love it! It's so cute inside and mainly just go for cronuts ( which are heavenly) only downside is that they sell out super fast( open at 12 and I went at 2 and half was already gone) so I kinda wish they made more
Stopped by now 3 different days, weeks apart. First time, mid afternoon, only day olds, which we bought a couple and thought they were just ok. 2nd visit they were closed, again mid afternoon even though sign didn't reflect that. 3rd visit was asked if we preordered...didn't know you needed to. Was told no stock. So we left. I honestly don't think we will go back.
Very friendly
Wonderful vibe and atmosphere. The pastries are out of control ???? Staff are very friendly too.
A review by Hassan Hawash Camille Bakery The Owner's Family kept the name Camille from the previous owner. Its a name that harkens back to a time in Paris. It was there that the film, was set, bearing the same name as the bakery. That time takes us back to the middle of a tragic love story where a woman had to sacrifice happiness for love. Could we see ourselves in this bakery making such a life impacting decision? The owner is only too happy to introduce you to Camille’s signature pastry – the Cronut. Briefly put, says he, it is a merging of a donut with a croissant. In the same instance, he gives an approving nod, credit to his wife, creating from the womb or is that the kitchen? Her 3 day long creations can be seen for all to look at on display. And what a sight they are! Each one is in its own little incubator keeping fresh just waiting for someone to make a claim. Owner and son are adept at raising your awareness as far as the variety of absolutely tempting displays of tantalizing cronuts and croissants. Camille sounds like chameleon in a sense. It’s almost like looking at one cronut to the next we see them change colour, texture and shape. Amazing from Boston Crème to Salted Caramel to Oreo to Tiramisu and on it goes. Coming back to that decision of should I or shouldn’t we sacrifice for love or for happiness? At Camille’s it’s not even a question. You’ll love these pastries and you will be super happy! A word to the wise, you would be best to pre-order so as to avoid disappointment.
I went there for the first time to get cronuts. They open at noon, and I was there few minutes after noon. They only had one kind on shelf. I would expected the all variety ready on the shelf right at opening time. PB&J cronut was good, but little too sweet. I would love to try other variety.
Price is a bit higher but then again the taste is top notch as well. The matcha bread is really delicious. Staffs are friendly. Would recommend!
Great food but pricey.
Limited selections due to popularity! But the gourmet cronuts are quite delicious. Perfect place to satisfy a sweet tooth.
Omg, I had never had cronut before and I'm in love with their cronut! I got lemon cream one and my friend gor Boston cream one. Both of them weren't heavy really tasty light cream inside. I look forward trying different flavor next time!!
Arrived 20m after they open, small menu only 3 items was ready. Staff said batch 1&2 want to preorder. She was very friendly and trying her best with the limited items she could offer. 2nd time I was here so its a little disappointing it wasn't a full menu ready when they open 1st time there was only 2 items, price isn't bad $4-5ish it's a pretty big size Not much a seat area. I did enjoy the pastry crunch chewy and lots of creamy filling. First impression matter but always gave second try not sure if I'll gave it a third tbh.
I went here today to buy cronuts for my colleagues. I asked the worker if there was filling inside of the cronuts. She looked annoyed and replied “what do you mean?”. I told her I had never tried cronuts before and was unsure if there is a filling or not. She looked at me confused. I left without purchasing any. I do not recommend this place due to poor service.
Love the cronuts. Absolutely stunning and beautiful. Please make more flavours.
The cronuts were amazing!
WOW!!! is the only word that comes in to my mind when I think of this place. The pastries are amazing! the cronuts are out of this world and the owner is such a sweet heart!
The BEST pastries in town! Call and preorder, so you get first dibs. Cronuts live up to the hype! The staff are super friendly as well :-) 10/10
I went here everyday for a week when I first discovered this place! Even had the elusive matcha cronut!
Taste great for their product! They have rich filling and taste for there cronut. BTW, go check the opening hour on the Window and map. Because you don't want to come back with nothing.
The only bakery in Winnipeg to make specialty baked goods such as Cronuts and Cruffins. You can really tell that the pastry chef puts a lot of love, time and effort into the pastries. They use all local flour, local butter (Notre Dame Creamery) and local farmed eggs. The customer service is great, although there is a language barrier so it can be misunderstood. Keep up the amazing work! The bakery has a small selection and sells out very quickly so it is highly suggested to call ahead of time.
The cronuts are good when they're fresh. I found eating it in the evening of the same day they didnt present the same quality. They are also very sweet so you have to have a sweet tooth!
The cronuts are absolutly AMAZING!
Their product might be good, but I've come here on 3 occasions now and they are never open, even though I come during open hours posted on Facebook and on their door. Which are already odd for a bakery. Their products look great....but this is a terrible way to run a business!!!
Great pasteries. Rich and flakey croissant. Too much sauce in some. The menu is entirely made from their signature puff pastry.
These are not just cronuts. These are edible art. Trust me, it’s something you have to taste.
Soooooo good. Had the coffee filled croissants. Have been back already twice. Delicious and super friendly people.
Small selection but tasty treats (some significantly better than others)
Amazing!! So delicious ❤️
Yummy. Slightly pricey. Cozy interior
The cronut is all hype and I had a hair in my cruffin ????
That is awesome!
(Translated) Love the taste! ???????????????????????? (Original) 超爱的味道!????????????????????????
Amazing! Best donut/Cronut I’ve had in my life. Went there 3 days in a row. My new Addiction
Very good place and very delicious!
Amazing service, it's very expensive but they offer top quality
Best cronuts ever!
Owner seemed short, I'm thinking because we came when it first opened and nothing was ready yet. Wont be going back.
All of the fancy treats are so good, but you can't go wrong with the plain cronut. Amazing. Friendly staff, clean store and you can pre-order!
They have the most delicious flaky croissants!
Although the selection is a bit limited (presumably due to popularity) the quality of the cronuts and croissants are fantastic, and the flavours are delightful and creative. Would recommend to anyone with a sweet tooth and an appreciation for a good pastry.
The cronuts are sooo good! Not too sweet.
Great baked goods!! I recommend that you print your contact info on your very attractive bags!!
No joke these pastries are delicious. Go now.
Excellent qualify and very original.
