The Barn Burner though! Okay, I will be the first to admit that I DO NOT drink cold coffee. I LOVE hot coffee, until now! I have had the Mocha Burner 3 times and seriously cannot get enough. You need bigger cups (I'll happily pay more). It's the perfect amount of everything...and the Strawberry Vanilla cup cakes!! Wow!...they were so good. Love a local coffee shop with great coffee and baked goods!

Love The Barn. Cozy, quirky, casual and comfortable. They serve North Mountain Coffee, and they have their machine nicely dialed in. And sometimes...? You just might not need or want a cookie the size of a manhole cover. Lovely Jammy Dodgers! And as busy as the place became, the team behind the counter were relaxed, convivial and welcoming. We had a great day in Mahone Bay, but I might just make the trip back for The Barn (and the Jammy Dodgers ????)

Our family loves a stop at The Barn! All of the staff are so pleasant, and lovely, coupled with a truly cozy atmosphere. Our family is vegan, so we really appreciate all of the non-dairy milk options - including the cocowhip for an added treat! As a mom to a very busy 8 year old, and a new baby, stopping in for a maple soy latte is just what is needed to reset, remind myself to slow down, and that these moments should be enjoyed like my coffee. This place is great! We came from Toronto and the staff were really nice. They had such good customer service, and the food tasted amazing. We had the breakfast crossoint, the chocolate croissant thing-a-ma-jig, and an apple tart. I think the apple tart was the best, but everything was great!!!

The Barn House. I came here after seeing about it in a vloggers video. Just wanted to sit it out on a rainy day in Mahone Bay and it didn't disappoint me. Perfect ambience, ok Coffee. We ordered the Mocha Burner, Hazelnut Burner and cappuccino. The owner seemed very friendly and service was great! If in Mahone Bay a good stop to lazy around for a while.

I felt his unconditional love while I was waiting in the line up. The aromas, the friendly staff....almost as if I knew everyone there my entire life. The barista was even dancing a bit as I approached her to place my order. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. I also love the tumeric and butter latte. As is. It even has the golden color of that star that's so close to us. I can't wait to go back.

We live in new Hampshire and the Barn is high on our list of places to visit while in Mahone Bay. We hope to get back this year providing the border reopens. The Barn has great atmosphere superb coffee and pastries, and above all the folks that wait on you are incredible. ???? we made it back and we were not disappointed. YOU GOTTA TRY THIS: a bacon and egg brochie, well it's the best breakfast one could ever eat.

Mike and Amelia are amazing! This is a great place to sit and chat with friends, grab an excellent hot drink and just chill. We even celebrated our son's 4th birthday here. Free wifi is a plus, and some of the staff can serve you in French.

Prices are great, coffee/food was excellent, service was great and the place is clean, eclectic and has a vibrant atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend!!!

If you're in Mahone Bay and you want decent coffee look no further. It is not church basement coffee. We all know that coffee by now. This coffeehouse is what Starbucks wishes it could be. Been there several times and each year just keeps getting better. Owner is open to feedback. They have mastered the savory scone (finally!!! an alternative to sweets for breakfast and coffee) Whoever is ordering the books, the posters, and the reusable bags deserves a medal. Good job! THIS is it guys. Look no further and stop here. And they roast their coffee in the basement. Streamline operation with competent staff and management at the helm. If you were a publically traded company and your financials matched the work ethic you'd be a solid buy recommendation in my books. And for my readers yes I gave another coveted 5 star but if you're traveling through you gotta stop here. The place will inspire you.

A great little social stop in Mahone bay with great coffee and delicious pastries. I stopped in with a small group in town for a meeting, and found a cozy corner upstairs to meet. I enjoyed a coffee and a pastry with egg in the middle. The coffee was great, but I found the pastry to be a little dry, and the egg was practically arid. On top of that, the cost of the pastry was a little high compared to similar treats at other similar venues. Overall though a great stop in Mahone Bay!

I'm not a fan of espresso so it seems - so the barn burners were a disappointment to me ; but that's personal taste. Prices seem pretty decent overall. The cinnamon rolls were the best I've tried. The service - it took me two trips to finally order. The first time I was ignored (by an older gentleman waiting on customers) so I left, the second time was younger people on staff and they were great. The atmosphere is confusing as in there is a small ordering space and lots of things inside, but its also located in a tourist community and that vibe is not my strong suit. Overall, it's my first and last trip there.

A delightful place to sit and enjoy what is, in my opinion, the best coffee in Nova Scotia. Locally made pastries and a beautiful decor make for a perfect location to relax and chat or upstairs there is a chill out area which can also be used for semi-formal business meetings. Staff are knowledgeable, courteous and make this a 'must-see' place if you're a local or a visitor to the area.
