First off, this is a "NO FRILLS" store. You have to keep that in mind when you go in. You need to pay for your cart (quarter) and you get it back at the end when you return the cart. The store itself seems to have seen better days ie: uneven floors and such but it isn't dirty just a bit shoddy. Once you get over that, the produce is fresh, the beef, poultry and pork look good. Keep in mind that you aren't going to find things like lamb here...just the basics: pork chops, roasts, breasts...that type thing. The rest of the store offers up a limited personal hygiene and baby supply but everything else is there: canned goods, dairy, food wrap, etc. The thing I absolutely love about this store is the pricing. It is phenomenal compared to the other two major grocery stores here. You are sure to save money if you shop here and keep your eyes open for deals (of which there are many). At the end of your time here you may find that the lines are long and it's a bit cramped at the check outs. Also you must provide your own bags or buy them for .05 each or you have the option of boxes for free and you have to pack it yourself. The cashiers are all very nice and you can use your PC Points here as well. They do NOT take Visa...oh and if you smoke they also carry cigarettes and I've been told they are cheaper here as well.

It should be called Some Frills, or Few Frills. They are not a Superstore, but still, a super grocery stop. Often some great deals on things, and you can find most common items at reasonable prices. Don't expect lemongrass, or artichokes, but meats, chicken and veggies are available with good variety and selection. Fish is better purchased from bigger places, or roadside truck-guys. Good staff too.

Produce is usually excellent and well priced. The store can get very crowded at peak times, like Saturday mornings, with long lineups, but the staff remain helpful and cheerful. Choices on the grocery shelves are somewhat limited but the basics are there.

One of the main places I shop for groceries, I'm a coupon, saving, sale person and this place does have items I use. Overall the customer service is fast freindly service. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a great price on food items. You need .25cents to use the shopping carts and if you do not have a coin on hand there are a bunch at CX service office inside.

I drove from Kentville to Bridgewater and sadly, they did not have the things I was looking for but they were in the flyer. When I asked about one product one of the floor workers was very short with me saying we just got our truck in so be patient! I also asked about the cucumbers that are on sale for 99 cents, the young guy briskly walked out back brought out for boxes of cucumbers and slam them into the place where they're expected to be. So needless to say I give the store a three out of five.

I am honestly getting annoyed with this Bridgewater location No Frills. I spend money there every week, and each week the produce appears good but is rotten, I don't know if the produce cooler out back is too cold or the stuff ends up getting frozen but something is going on. The frozen food is usually freezer burned, or no good in general. I get the food home to only find it rotten, and unfit to eat. A week ago I went to the store, and when I walked in, all I smelled was rotten produce. It was so pungent, I had to leave. I am soon never going there again. What keeps me going back is the convenience of the store, where is it close to me. Not to mention a few months ago my girlfriend came home upset because one of the younger cashiers was so rude, and nasty to her, and embarrassed her while she was paying.
