I love the feel of this place. It's a little restaurant, corner store, liquor store and used book store all in one! I usually grab a snack, a Rockstar Vodka, an obscure (but good) used book and head to the beach! May be my favourite corner store in the world.

Certainly ranks among the finer general stores of the province. Classy selections in the wine and beer section; a constant collection of homemade treats right near the counter; locally baked, gardened, and butchered foods in stock, and to harmonize it all, a lovingly designed restaurant and café, with quality food and wonderful service. Well worth stopping by, if only to appreciate the sincere effort to make a beautiful, happy place.

Tripped over this great little place during our explorations of the area. Some nice fresh baked sweets, groceries and booze meant one less trip into town. Very friendly staff, welcoming building. We will try to get in for brekkie once prior to leaving NS. Looking forward to it!

Surprisingly good selection of wine, beer, staples, snacks, treats and frozen meats. Deliciously fresh homemade cookies and energy balls. There is also milk, drano and other things you need in a pinch. I love this store!

Having purchased alcohol, take out and various groceries here in the past, I might have offered a better rating, but today's visit was tremendously disappointing. Today, I just wanted a pop for myself and a bottle of water for the dog. I was going to use my MasterCard, but was told by the owner that I would need to use debit. Explaining that I was concerned there was no money on my debit card, I put it in . . . and sure enough, the transaction was cancelled. So I ended up leaving without my drinks. Who thought that someone could make me feel even more discouraged that I had no money in my checking account today.

Very quaint little general store with all your basic needs. There's a small NSLC (liquor store) in the back with an okay variety of basic beers, ciders and wines. Also a small cafe inside the store as well with delicious baked goods. The coffee is top notch!

A once grubby convenience store, Rose Bay General Store under its relatively new ownership has transformed into a very nice place that just keeps getting better.. The owners' pride is evident in the custom woodwork that displays wines and spirits, the eating nook, and more; this classy improvement is rumored to have been created by the present owner. The offerings have vastly improved from an earlier incarnation -- now with fresh pastries, Laughing Whale coffee, and good home-cooked meals to take out. Service is always friendly, patient, and helpful. Rose Bay General Store is just the kind of place we've needed to accompany beach visits or further excursions down the coast. Can't wait to see what's next!
