We were there in the late afternoon, not much on the shelves, surprised to see Baklava in an "authentic" french bakery, but thought we would try it. It was very poor quality, dry, tasted like it had coffee in it. We also bought 2 large round desserts type items, similar looking to Eccles, but they weren't, they were doughy but tasty. Apricot honey bread was okay but not great. The sign on the highway states "authentic french bakery", we didn't see any authentic french items in thr bakery. Being from a culinary background we were disappointed however we would consider trying something else and earlier in the day next time we are in the area. Hopefully it was just an "off day ".

My first time visit to this location impressed. I was aware of the bakery from the Halifax Farmers market but had never visited their location until now. As usual great pastries and I was quite impressed with the Americano they made for me. If you like pastries and good coffee I recommend stopping in.

This is a beautiful little cafe, right on the water, you're able to dock on the pier below and walk right up. The breakgast food was delicious and artisanal, however it took us nearly 45 minutes to have our food delivered. Coffee was good, although same story, it was slow coming out even with just a cold brew and beery iced tea from bulk jugs. Don't plan on a speedy meal, but instead relax and enjoy the outdoor seating, browse the grocery section downstairs or go check out the neighbouring book store

Excellent bakery. The croissants and the brioches are superb. They make many varieties of bread, plus sweet and savoury baked goods (the quiches are recommended). They also carry local pickles and preserves, and make really good coffee. If you're feeling active, it's about a 5 km round trip from Mahone Bay, along the Rum Runner's Trail (starting at the NW end of Main St).

Great coffee , the bread looked fantastic, but show up early it's a busy spot and the sweet stuff goes quickly , that's just a testament ti how good it really is , they also have frozen baked food aswell , staff was very friendly . I was looking for a Tim Hortons for coffee and this place was closer so I tried It put I'm.so glad I did coffee was wayyyyy better !!

Had their 7grain bread for breakfast in Lunenburg....very good!! I asked the restaurant if I could buy a loaf...they said where to go. I stopped in on my way to the highway. The baker recommended I grab a cinnamon roll, so I got 2 OMG.. Wow! The best I've ever had. No sharing that tasty treat, my kids only heard how good it was! lol

Wonderful experience here!!!! Visited over 4X this summer! The French pastries are to kill for! Yes, the price is a bit more BUT you receive LARGE servings of a multitude of tasty tarts, pepitos, cookies along with a good cup of coffee. Staff are friendly and very helpful at describing pastries that you probably never had before! There are a few tables so you can sit in and eat but I like to sit at the long front window bench table / bar stools to unwind and watch the world go by. Check the times when they are open as I believe the cafe is closed Sunday thru Tuesday.
