Cuddle how a business can pay its rent when there is so little to sell .... It is to ask questions. . ???? Arrivé là-bas... La boulangerie T.Hadad qui a pignon sur St-Martin depuis belle lurette, je constate qu'elle ne vend PAS de pain... Une boulangerie SANS pain !???? Pourtant l'affiche indique bien boulangerie avec des belles images de pain frais !???? Quelques, pizzas et sous-marins, cannage, et bâtonnets de pain sec... Câline comment un commerce peut payer son loyer quand il y a si peu de choses à vendre.... C'est à se poser des questions... ????

The first time I visited Hadad and took a bite of the Zaatar manakish (Thyme pizza), I was literally transported 30 years back to the narrow and ancient streets of Old Damascus quarters. That's how good they are and I know a thing or two about Levant (Syrian, Lebanese) style manakish, I've been eating it all my life and I've eaten it in many countries. They nailed down the authentic taste. From the dough, to the thickness, to the crispiness or softness, to the consistency.....simply spot on! I'm practically there every Sunday morning and every time it opens a floodgate of memories from Syria!

BEWARE, NOT CORONAVIRUS CONSCIOUS. Crowded place, no distancing measures. Clients all over each other. Horrible service during Coronavirus. I placed a large order 45 minutes ahead of time to avoid exposure. The order wasn’t ready and I had to wait in the shop while they prepared it from scratch. The whole place emptied out and I still haven’t received my order. In all fairness, the staff is nice and the food is great. But during the pandemic this level of chaos is unacceptable. The business should figure out how to ensure customers are social distancing.

I discovered this place while I was pregnant and I've never looked backed since. It literally saved me during my first trimester (was the only food I could keep down). I've asked my husband to order dozens of their cheese and meat pies so we can freeze them and enjoy them at home.Their meat pies are really good, however their cheese pies are GOLD (no exaggeration). The pies are baked in a stove oven and the soft dough and stretchy cheese is the perfect combination. The bakery itself isn't fancy, however the food speaks for itself. If you don't want to wait long for your order, just place an order via the phone and they will tell you how long your order will take. Only negative I can think of is they definitely need someone near their phone all day. Sometimes I have to call 3-4 times to get through to someone. Would highly recommend!!!

Excellent zaatar....well, the BEST in the city no jokes. Their other items on the menu are very good as well. I just learned that they make the meat pita with thinner dough, the traditional way but you have to ask for it otherwise it's thicker than usual. The place doesn't have bells and whistles but their food is just top notch! Keep it up guys :)
