I recently ordered a cake for my daughter’s birthday. I have purchased all my family’s birthday cakes from here (along with pizza every other week) for the past 10 years. I specifically asked for a 20 person cake with minimal decoration. To make a long story short, the price I was originally quoted was wrong (was charged for a 35 person cake) and was supposed to be rectified when I called in the next day. When picking up the cake, I was presented with a huge cake which even the owner/manager admitted was for more than 30 people. The price, however, reflected the larger cake and I was charged 30$ more than was quoted. It seems, I was getting “a great deal” by being overcharged for extra cake I never asked for. The cake was decent, but the customer service is terrible. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

We have been coming here for many years and absolutely LOVE their delicious food and desserts. Joey and Moira are absolute sweethearts and are fantastic with customers. Try their chicken cutlets with their daily fresh made rolls, lasagna, pizza, sausage salad, meatballs....guaranteed you will enjoy them....of course don't forget about their desserts!!! The pound cakes can be cut up and put in containers then kept in the fridge for 3 weeks without a problem. Biscottis are a must have with a cup of tea or coffee (great with milk too). Their cakes are also out of this world delicious (for a celebration or just to satisfy your craving,, you will be satisfied for sure). Thanks to all who bake and cook everything!! As for some of the young girls serving, instead of criticizing their service, tell them right away (in a polite way) or even speak to the owner. They have to understand that a business runs well because of customers too. Happy Shopping!!

One of the best places in quebec. Ive been here for 10 years and only recently two years ago have i had a cake from lafrenaie. My first cake was for my wedding. After hearing from many people i decided to go with a wedding cake from lafrenaie without even tasting any of their cakes first. It was spectacular on the outside and inside. It met our expectations and Our guests all loved it and ever since we have been getting most of our cakes from here. You should try the crepe cake as well. The owners are super nice as well. The staff is attentive and polite, always ready to answer my questions with a smile on their face ! The service was not gd , when i got there the cake was not ready , even tho it had been ordered days in advance.. The person next to me had the wrong cake with the name spelt wrong, and when it came time to pay the girl kept giving me the wrong amount in change...now that being said , the cakes are probably the best you will ever eat. If they can just get organized, they would have 5 stars.
