REVIEWS OF Wendel's True Foods IN Langley

Got a strawberry and rhubarb pie from Whole Foods, and I have never had a more disgusting pie in my life. Like eating rhubarb infused sand, slightly warmed and soak in its own juices. The only saving grace in this was the relatively good ingredients, but there was no relation between the product and what it aspires to be.

This is a wholesale outlet with no retail option. The staff could not direct me to a retail outlet

Just tried the Wendel's True Foods "Almond Butter Cookies" Gluten, Wheat and Egg free. ....oh mine gawd. SO DELICIOUS! The flavour, the texture! 100% These actually taste like cookies!! I highly recommend with a cup of milk. Can't wait to try some of their other GF products. Side note; tried wendel's after an unfortunate purchase of the UDI'S GF Almond Peanut Butter cookies. The UDI'S cookies are disgusting - they smell like chemical and don't taste like much and have a horrible texture. If you are gonna try or need GF cookies, SKIP Udi's and go for WNEDEL'S Sooooooooo much better. I have to stop myself from eating my fourth cookie as I type this.

Wendel's True Foods is a local, family-owned, 2nd generation business. This facility is whole-sale only and is certified GF (gluten free), wheat free, and egg free. Excellent pre-baked pie shells, 300g. Their products are available at Nature's Fare Markets and Choices Markets. I would add Save-On to this list, but I won't. Thanks .....

Had their gluten free blueberry muffin on the BC Ferry. Smelled and tasted bad.

Oh my goodness! We just had the apple pie! It has been years since I could enjoy a pie without a tummy ache (from gluten). Now the only tummy ache is going to be from eating the whole pie! The crust is amazing. I am so happy that I have found this pie! Can't wait to try other products. <3

The pastery was good, the strawberry rhubarb filling was bland and of strange texture. This was my first time trying this product, definitely my last.

My mom is celiac and I found out a couple years ago that I have an intolerance to gluten as well. Although gluten free foods are often seen as a fad or healthier life choice, for me they are a necessity. It can be very frustrating to find foods that I can eat and also that taste good! When I tried Wendel’s True Foods for the first time I was blown away. Finally I can have delicious baked goods that don’t taste like cardboard!! I would often take trips to Wendel’s in Fort Langley just for an almond butter cookie. Now they have so many more options and they are all equally delicious! I’m thrilled to see that you can now order their products online. I can’t wait to stock up my freezer with scrumptious gluten free goodies!

Wendles Fine Food is NOT practicing Covid19 safeguards. People waiting in line to place their orders are not wearing masks. The employees are NOT requesting them to wear masks. These people are standing beside people who are eating.

My love for Wendel's started at their cafe in Fort Langley where they have a few of their items. Some of my favourites are the gluten free nanaimo bars and their date square. I found out they use Chia seeds as a subsitute in their ingredients which I thought was great as I usually mix them in my morning smoothie. Their date bar is DELICIOUS! Melts in your mouth and not too rich. I'm happy to see them growing and have seen their products in not only small family businesses like Ralph's Farm Market and Golden Ear's Cheese Crafter's, but also Whole Foods & Safeway! AND, you can even order their products online now, pretty cool.

Just tried the GF punkin pie. It was so good, just like the real thing. I paid 8.99 CND at Save on Foods in Alberta. I would definetly add this to your holiday meals if anyone in your family is gluten free. My 10 year old daughter ate it up... She did not know the difference.
