This location was clean, organized and well lit. Safeway usually carries more unique food items which is why I like going there. I went later at night about 2030 so the store was nearing closing time. Having said the the majority of fresh bakery items were sold or put away and the deli counter was vacant of employees. I found what I needed in short order, I was looking for some unique drinks (and dog food) that I know only a few food stores carry. However, I realized upon checkout that there was only 1 cashier and zero support staff. The cashier even admitted they were low on employees once her line was wrapping into the isles. There was a manager or at least he looked like one that could have junped on cash to help out but he chose to hide in one of the isle. I'd return again as there is nothing wrong with the location itself just don't go if you are in a hurry, as you may have a wait depending on the time of day.

Although I find Safeway generally overpriced compared to some other stores, I just love the layout and familiarity of the store. It usually has exceptional quality produce and meats, and many good items on sale. I have always loved the freshness of the produce although lately, it has been quite underripe and therefore rotting within a couple of days. I'm not sure what the issue is.. The store is clean. The staff is friendly. Sadly, this is the only Safeway near me now. Great store ????

While waiting in the covid lineup to get into the store while it was RAINING, the security guard was too busy chatting with a friend to realise that about 15 people had left and he wasn't letting anyone else inside. A few unnecessary minutes went by with customers standing in the rain while the security guard couldn't do his very simple job. Unacceptable.

For some reason this location is the redheaded stepchild of safeways because they usually are low in stock in a lot of items like cheese pizza and organic bannanas among other things yet i rarely see that at 64th and 200th.

This is a great store to do your big grocery shop or just run in quick to grab a few things. There is a self checkout available, deli, bakery, pharmacy, floral department and customer service desk. Lotto booth is open till 5 or 6pm daily.

Always very clean, and well-stocked. Staff are all excellent, and foster a family atmosphere. Reliable for every department. Bakery does a superb job with special orders. Produce is always well-organized and prices are good. The staff really seem to care! Starbucks in the store and nice deli make for quick lunch stops. Larger frozen section and good selection of specialty items. Parking lot is easy to navigate, and near an accessible large intersection.

I would only shop here for last minute items on a small shopping list. They are way too expensive when compared with other stores like Superstore or No Frills. Regularly gotten milk here that has an odd viscosity; safe to drink but kind of gross looking when you pour it and it leaves strings.

Even though Safeway is not the cheapest place around me, this store is where I do my shopping. The staff are fantastic. I really can't say enough good about them. My mom had a fall there and they took really good care of her until she was ok. They are always polite and helpful and from what I can tell they are treated well by Safeway. Paying staff a decent wage and treating them with respect has become more important to me these days.

Very Large well kept interior and staff are very accommodating when asked questions. The surrounding are of the gas station is always kept clean and a real pleasure to go and buy gas there. I want to say a very special thank you to your staff members Jennifer & manager Andria. On Saturday July 23rd I was asked last minute to help my nephew with preposing to his girlfriend. He had already arranged for me to take himself and his girlfriend to WhiteRock for sunset. He wanted a single red rose for her. I dropped into your Langley store.... There were no single red roses available, there were bunches of a dozen or 18's but no singles. Jennifer didn't think she could remove one so calls the manager. She as well unsure of the flower area procedures (it was evening and no flower department representatives were working). We noticed a prearranged vase bouquet with 5 individual red roses in it. Andria pulled one out, wrapped beautifully & made it look fantastic and put the bouquet aside with a note for the morning flower staff to replace or fix it. Andria & Jennifer went above and beyond to help me and my nephew out. Thank you so much, they are assets to your customer service team. I have worked for 30 years in customer service myself, and was really really impressed. In this day and age of the Internet, customer complaints are dropped very easily but people don't often take the time to appreciate the real stars on the front lines of big companies like yours. I only go here when its air miles deals and I have a craving for their butter crust loaf of bread. This is the closest Safeway to me. Its disorganized and when looking for items, the way they have it set up is all over the place. It's worth it to drive to the next location (Willoughby drive/#10) if you have a bit of extra time.

Not sure what's up with their cart guy but seems to be pi**ed off whenever I'm there, other than convenience, I'd rather go to Save-On-Foods. Waited for 5 minutes at self serve checkout while attendant...was no where to be found. Ah Safeway, the grocery store with attitude, and a bad one at that.

Smallish Safeway, many Compliments / Lucerne brand items that are inferior to major brands (eg all frozen meat seem packed with bread crumbs, there is no actual whipped cream in aerosol cans just 'cream-like topping', etc.). All shopping carts require a quarter (really don't trust their customers, eh?) Produce is okay, but a lot of US stuff, that anyone wanting to protest the current nasty US adminstration will not buy. Not terrifically impressive, for sure.

Really miss Safeway in Aldergrove. I have to drive 20 minutes to get decent fresh bread. Sorry but it's pathetic on Loblaws part, in my opinion why do I have to drive out of my town to buy bread? Although it is now a Sobeys store, it still feels like a Safeway. If it was a Sobeys, you would be presented with flowers, fruit and vegetables when you entered. In this Safeway, you see first cash registers, a deli and a Starbucks. Nonetheless, I was able to purchase a nice bouquet of flowers at the far end of store and receive 10 Air Miles for a $3 bag of store brand peanuts.

I enjoy stopping by on my way home to grab a few of the Buffalo Chicken Flings from the deli... they are usually very good. However I tried buying some of the "fried rice" and it was awful, it had a half a cup of water in the small container. The Willowbrook location does over more selection and I am told by staff that head office dictates what there are able to stock and offer . Today, August 4,2017 I came and asked to purchase a cheesecake for my girlfriends birthday. When I asked for the cheesecake with the least dried out fruit on top there was a man that asked for garlic bread , after which the stupid women that was called staff ran and said there are 4 different kinds of garlic bread and ignored me and then was coming back saying cheesecake cheesecake in a stressful and rude manner. she packed it in a pie container squeezing all the ingredients inside the cheesecake. I then told the clerk and she said it was normal or the fruit in cheesecake to have fruit squished in it and she was so fake saying that the customer garbage service in their bakery area did the right job to stuff it all in a pie plastic holding container. The staff that work here are garbage and the products here are garbage especially from the bakery with your garbage staff and very fake staff and broken women that have a fake. Garbage staff work here no if and or buts based on the product they sell here at the lowest standard I've seen in Langley . This Safeway is at the lowest standard in all other Safeway I've been too. Garbage staff work here , providing garbage service.

Very close and convenient for me, plenty of parking in the strip mall its located. Also has safeway gas, purchase groceries to get discounted gas. I visit the pharmacy daily for my perscriptions and am usually given quick, efficient and reasonably friendly service. There is always plenty of staff around, perhaps why Safeway continues to be a more expensive shopping option than other places.

This place is very well organized, seems there are always markdown sale pricing. The staff is always very helpful. They have used excellent mapping methods to make it a fast experience to shop in and, during this pandemic....they have always made me feel safer in their shop than any other business that I have gone to. I might in occasion pay maybe $5.00 higher total cost for goods...but typically it is the same price or less than Walmart. But, piece of mind KNOWING that each of us needs to work together, especially now... I highly recommend supporting this store...they take our needs with serious and considerable care. ( Hahaha..who knew that Safeway would end up being THE SAFEST-WAY????)

Unlike cavernous big-box supermarkets, a store like Safeway is cozy and laid out efficiently. I don't have a large family to feed. Getting in and out is my modus operandi. Anyway, the manager (I think he is) is very hard working, making sure that things are in the right place and so on. No long lineup. It's my kind of store.

Ever since Safeway sold out to Sobys, the quality and selection of food has diminished. I should have changed supermarkets months ago but habits die hard. Today changed my view. Fresh peppers were not fresh. Nearly every one of them were soft and had wrinkled skin. Safeway seems to have eliminated Pintys lineup especially the Buffalo Chicken Nuggets. Replacing all of them with the brand Jane (which has been recalled twice in the last 12 months on the news) Finally, no canned root beer on the shelves. From either PepsiCo or Coke family. Not a case of they ran out, as cashier suggested, there wasn't even any tags on the shelf where the products are normally stored. Going to a different supermarket next week.

Ive shopped here for 3 years fairly consistently. I find the safeway workers themselves to be fine, but the security could couls ease up. From the moment the smaller security "guard" woman sees me, I am followed, watched and stared at until i am the parking lot getting into my car. No focus on any other customers but myself. I could understand if I had stolen, but I don't and have been here literally hundred of times. Being so obviously followed by security like a thief based solely on my appearance (?) is ridiculous, embarrasing, and a great way to chase away a loyal customer.

Deli is quite slow in service the staff 30 something chat among themselves while not focusing on customers at the counter. When they do come over to ask about your order they made it hard by saying “we do not have that we ran out”. Can they not try and be more creative and try to be pleasant and resourceful.

This store is much like any Safeway, staff is generally friendly, the managers are always quick to solve problems or provide assistance. Of course, they do the standard product shuffle that makes us treasure hunt around the store but I find staff members are quick to offer to take me to the item I'm looking for instead of vaguely waving in the general direction like the employees in other stores do. The only reason for the four stars is the hours for the pharmacy (which I'm not sure Safeway has any say in but maybe they do). If the store is open, the pharmacy should be open. The number of times I've gone there to fill a 'script and the pharmacy has been closed is downright annoying. It seems like the hours for the pharmacy change without notice because I'll no sooner figure out when they're open and then, boom, they're closed. This is my favourite Safeway.

Work normal shifts? Get off the same time as everyone else? Well dont expect to get anything from the deli after 5, especially their "daily deals". You will most likely stand there waiting for help for at least 5 minutes, when there are not even other customers around. And then when you order your "daily deal" they will tell you there's none left, so you ask one of the counter staff to make it for you and they will come up with some poor excuse of why they can't. Then they run back to chatting in the back. - Drive an extra few clicks and hit up the aldergrove or willowbrook location, much friendlier and better service at the deli.
