Lovely and warm atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Consistantly tasty food!
Country Charm and live music????????
Great neighborhood place with lots of character. An enjoyable anachronism.
Great little place to have lunch. Good food and. Friendly staff.
Friendly and neighborly with wonderful selection of teas and pastries.
Wonderful quaint shop with great coffee and friendly staff.
Loved the home cooked and fresh food. Always the best and the healthiest around the area. Try it once and you will be back over and over.
Very nice atmosphere. Had their chili which was very good.
Great place no wait on a Friday night..
Eclectic, very good food
Such an great atmosphere! Porters is a real hidden gem - with live music every weekend and delicious food. The owners are so sweet and always up for a chat!
I great little historic place. I think its one of the most "langley" places. Delicious coffee!
What a gem. Fantastic coffee and sweets...like an old general store...highly recommend
A nice old fashion store and bistro
Great food and entertainment!
Amazing scones, excellent coffee and very pleasant service.
Friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere and delicous food.
Relaxed atmosphere..great scones!
Good coffee, great food, and nice staff.
Super cozy, fun, bistro with delicious drinks, food and great service. They have live music on Fridays and Saturdays, local artisan and imported European goods.
You could see lots of hand made crafts here and coffee is great.
Great live music!
Good food, good atmosphere. And the price is right. I got the Eldy Porter breakfast and it was no problem to get more bacon instead of ham.
such a cute place. it feels homey and welcoming and everyone is so polite. it is a bit pricey, but i honestly don't mind. i much prefer porter's to any cheaper place. if you are visiting murrayville, this is a great destination. i highly recommend :)
Good music on the weekends, buffet is very bland but tends to appeal to the more mature crowd that goes there.
Great little coffee shop. The items they have on sale are always changing so it is always interesting to visit.
Wonderful food and service. It's a must stop whenever we are in the area.
I love this little shop and although we have moved out of the area, we still try to go when we are in town. I love the Dutch treats and the local makers goods that are featured.
Really nice, a little pricey, always busy
This place is eclectic but fun. The food was good homespun variety. The bands are very local as well.
Great vibe, it tends towards the geriatric crowd, which is to be expected with Porter's being older than sliced bread.
Been reading good things about this place, and my hubby and I have been hunting for a good coffee place in Langley to spend our Saturday mornings and bring out in-laws when they visit. Nope, we were disappointed by the bland taste of coffee they offered. I had mocha and he had latte and cinnamon bun. I'm pretty sensitive when it comes to coffee, but to my surprise I couldn't taste a rich flavour of coffee nor chocolate! It tasted like water-downed Tim Hortons coffee with chocolate powder. Same as my hubby's latte, it's probably 1/5 of espresso or just coffee with milk. I've never seen him leaving coffee behind and this was the first. Other than that, cinnamon bun was okay, atmosphere was great.
Cute place that regularly has live music.
Great music, food and a fun crowd.
Beautiful atmosphere. The Shepard's pie is pretty good and the carrot cake was great
Creative ways to take on covid measures. Great community spot! Always good food!
Always buzzing; sandwiches are tasty, fresh with their own homemade bread, also gluten-free, including homemade sweet treats available!
This has been a part of Langley since before I was born. It is a nice little place that reminds you of a simpler time in Langley.
Noticed this place on my way to an appointment and stopped on the way home. Had a coffee and a piece of apple strudel and both were great! Really nice atmosphere and many awesome options for food and drink. Some interesting and unique items for purchase also (tea pots, decorative items, etc)
Great prices, good food and a great environment
Cute little restaurant. I had a nice PY Porter breakfast. Friendly service.
Cosy cute retro historic yummy pricey
Really grear first experience. I'm new in the community and looking for a good cafe to have a coffee and read. I had cinnamon bun and Organic fair trade coffee.
Its so lovely an it takes me back to nice quiet times. The food is good to yum
This is a great local shop that I am very happy I stumbled upon. I just had a fantastic croissant sandwich and a fresh cup of joe around 11am. It started filling up at 1130 and everyone seemed quite happy with the food. Relaxing atmosphere and friendly service. I’ll be back if I’m back in this neighborhood
Love the ambience. Great food and service.
awesome locale
One of the most historic buildings in Langley, at one of the most historic intersections, too. "Five Corners" is where Old Yale Road, once the only road through the Fraser Valley before the freeway was constructed, intersects at an odd angle to the modern streets of 48th Ave and 216th. As a child, my husband was allowed to ride his bicycle there to buy bubble gum and candy, and the store has been a part of life for most who grew up in the area. Porters has been fully restored, and is now a beautiful coffee bistro with interesting dry goods and souvenirs made in the area. Definitely worth a stop and browse!
Great food , great service..
Love the cozy feel to it. It's never been too busy when I've been there so you don't feel the table besides you is listening to your conversation. Staffs very friendly.
Great little spot. Very community oriented.
I love coffee. So when in need of a coffee a place to go and enjoy.
AMAZING CINNAMON BUN - Saturday morning and they were still warm and fresh. White mocha are to die for, don't forget to get the whip and drizzle.
Ya gotta try this place
Clean, bright, cheerful and yummy
Good cosy place. The cinnamon buns are so good!
I have had some mixed experiences here, but their breakfast is very good. The other meals leave something to be desired.
Love the rustic charm. Amazing food. One of the best cinnamon buns.
Quaint and Charming historical location with an ambience from another era. Good food and an live entertainment policy on the weekends.
Great Surprise to stop in for some live Jazz and dinner just of the cuff food was great music awsome and the atmosphere even better
Great food and good coffee.
Great breakfast and a delightful bistro, I shall return.
Lovely food, very pleasant, friendly and helpful staff that will make you something to suit your diet
Good for old people. It’s a good environment
Nice cafe with great ambience.
Service is great selection is also great
Good food and a fun night with music featuring the Seabillies. Will do it again. Been here three times. Beef buffet on Saturday is very good. Service was good.
Go there for the music in an historical and quaint place in the Lower Mainland
BEST little Bistro in Langley!
(Translated) Great place that supports actively local musicians. Great non judgmental atmosphere! (Original) Great place that supports actively local musicians. Great non jugemental ambiance!
Always a delightful place good food great music and gift store
Great food, vibe and music! I always enjoy coming to play this venue. Support Porters and live music.
This place is great! I love the ambience, the historic look and feel, and the live music. The food is also amazing. Depending what you get, the prices can be a little high, but it's worth it for the quality. From time to time I've found the staff to be a little less than inviting, and I've often felt rushed, though it's only happened a few times. Generally, it's a good experience and I'll come back. If you want some good food in a lovely little shop while enjoying a piece of historic Langley, check this place out.
Good food
????❤️????
Love this bistro! Excellent service and delicious food and drink. Highly recommend the Salmon Sandwich and Porters Misto.
Nice and quaint coffee house with live music most weekends
Great place to go for breakfast delicious food ????
Super cute place with good drinks!
Very traditional coffee shop. Country style
A hidden gem
My favourite bakery! All of their baked goods are amazing.
Nice little place with a decent sandwich. Has an interesting history, at one time being a post office, & still has many original features. I’ve been twice now and on both occasions the serving staff were lovely and friendly. Has parking at back and front.
Love this place! Reminds me of other small cafes from my childhood. Food is great - surprisingly broad menu. All homemade - even the bread is made by the owners. Great sandwiches - breakfasts that are second to none. Can't imagine anyone saying this is pricy when the cost is not much more than a fast food restaurant's attempt at a breakfast! And you get a full plate of real decent food!! Even if you only have time for a coffee and a treat - try their cinnamon knots! Better than anything you'll get anywhere. Weekends they have live music in the evenings - haven't tried yet, but soon. If you want a taste of what a neighbourhood cafe felt like over 50 years ago - drop by. Staff is friendly - just as the other familiar faces you might see if you become a regular.
We've tried to go to Porter's about five times and each time we've been met with unhappy staff who frown as if we're bothering them by ordering food and drinks. We live right around the corner — hence the multiple attempts to enjoy the shop — and are really disappointed that we can't stop by without feeling like we're imposing. If this message gets through to the owners, perhaps you can think of some new ways to motivate the staff and increase the quality of customer service and experience. We'd love to come back so please let us know if you're able to address this situation. Thank you!
Great place to have a coffee and enjoy the company of friends.
Such delicious baking!!!
Great service and good food.
Thursday is like an open mic, but for musicians. You really need to go!
I love the old fashioned atmosphere...very enjoyable space!
A great place for a coffee
They require a vaccine passport. Didn't allow to sit even outside
Great atmosphere friendly staff Saturday nights have live entertainment
I had a cup of tea and biscuit from here. Good selection of baked goods, a bit pricey but much of Vancouver area is. But its a nice local café to sit and relax with a cup of tea ????
Really great food and staff.
Just had lunch. My wife had the cranberry turkey sandwich and I had the cabbage rolls. I would say portions are small and quality of food is not that good. Service was excellent. I think this bistro has a nice local feel and that is what keeps it going. I have had better lunches in Langley for the price.
Nice place. The latte could have been stronger. Loved the ambiance.
It's a cozy place to socialize.
A gem of a place ,good food and great staff. All kinds of lil extras to look at as well.
Love it, everything is old school and the food is great
Good place to eat
Great coffee shop and bistro, live music on the weekends with a great atmosphere and good food.
Good food. But very slow service. They need 2 tills. Just sayin.
Unique location off of Fraser highway with a street parking available. We went 15 minutes after opening on a Sunday and the place was already busy. Service was quick.
Excellent place for coffee and sandwich sit with friends or a small dinner party
Great little coffee/tea house. Coffee was great. Would have been even better if they provided table service.
First time visiting. I liked it.
We love the cottagey feel of this place, and their breakfasts are always a treat. Still haven't made it to a Friday/Saturday live music night, but one day we will.
Stopped by this cute little place with rustic charm, for an afternoon snack. We had the Porter Glory Muffin, Espresso Brownie, Apple Pie & a Decafe Soy Misto. The baked goods were very fresh & tasty, unfortunately the coffee was chalky, but I'll "chalk" that up to the type of soy milk they use. I did notice the prices for the sandwiches & entrees are on the high side, especially since everything is already plated & waiting to be reheated in the microwave. Overall this is not a place I would go out of my way to come to.
It's got wifi, a few outlets, good coffee, nice servers, and a great retro country atmosphere.
Came down to see the live Music my coworker Siobhan. It was also amazing Food great Roast and chicken! Great atmosphere will definitely be back soon! I want to try the open mic night someday too.
Great food and great people/staff ????
Love this little place! They make fabulous coffees and tasty foods (lunches, snacks, desserts) they have live shows on Saturday nights with reserved seating and a dinner served (not sure if they still do that during covid) I’ve also bought some fun kitchenware and gorgeous art during my coffee visits there. Below are some items I’ve bought.
Small town coffee shop with a big heart!!!
Egg benny with ham was perfect
Very quaint and cozy! Great reading spot! Get the scones!
Good breakfast and interesting gifts. This place is one of a kind.
Really nice spot for breakfast or lunch. Check out website for Live music dinner nights. Dinner is okay but overall experience with the music is great although can be a bit loud since it is a small and cozy venue.
Great atmosphere and food!
Great place to go for some dinner and great live music.
Went there for the first time today. It was cold and was happy to see some place open to warm up. Great atmosphere in side , older music was a nice touch, Friendly staff. i had the carrot cake and chai latte, Both very good. Very importantly they followed precautions for covid19 safety. Will definitely go back ????
I've driven past a thousand times and never thought to stop. It's bigger and busier than I guessed it would be. My coffee came in a ceramic mug and my sandwich was good so I was happy. There is also patio seating and for the number of people there I am surprised that parking was not a problem. Quaint, old and very unlike a chain coffee shop.
Thursday night open mike . Pure entertainment !
Farmers breakfast with coffee in an old town atomsphere, free parking in the back, have live bands in the weekend as well
Hands down my favourite place for breakfast or coffee in Langley. Jazz shows are good too. Only downside is the cost for a dinner plate... a bit pricey.
A neighbourhood spot to meet for a sandwich, coffee or treat in a century old spot full of character and charm. Nice grub too!
Funky, eclectic, kinda cool. The food was excellent and the service was very good.
great atmosphere, friendly servers and most importantly the coffee was bloody good! highly recommended to everyone who likes to sit and chat while eating a delicious sandwich and just relax.
Meh, very mediocre food.
Good coffee and great atmosphere
Extremely disappointed! They only have one high chair in the entire restaurant! We paid for our food before finding out the only high chair was in use. We have been going to this restaurant for years and the food is always very good. It's really too bad they are not very family friendly. Also the service is always pretty sub par for a seemingly quaint neighborhood place.
Coffee a little strong
Had lunch with my sons. My lunch was a turkey and cranberry sandwich on gluten free bread with a bowl of Porter's home made soup. The sandwich was very fresh and tasty. Not at all dry as turkey can so often be. Their soups are made on premises and are reliably good. I finished up with an Americano and gluten free Nanaimo bar. The Nanaimo bar was different than the traditional Nanaimo bar but in a really good way. It was not as cloyingly sweet and had coconut in the center layer. I liked it better than the traditional Nanaimo bar. The service was personal, friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend Porter's to a friend and will be going back myself for sure.
Great stop spot.Love the cinnamon rolls. Still visit regularly, great spot to take a buddy for a snack or sandwich or coffee(with a cinnamon bun of course).
Caramel machiatto is a must here
Great live music, jazz Friday nights, fabulous food and excellent service. All stars.
Just popped in 10 minutes after they closed without realizing. They saw me struggling with the baby stroller and the gentleman who I think may be the owner welcomed me in and covered my coffee! The ladies at the till were friendly even though I had interrupted them trying to doing closing up duties! Very lovely little shop. I was having a really stressful day with the baby, and kept getting delayed trying to leave the house let alone have a moment to myself. This coffee and their kindness made my day! Will come by again once they’re open and buy some food as well! Thank you!
Great coffee, great food, neat gifts and art. This is the perfect place to meet for coffee or a meal with a friend.
I love Porters Bistro. I have a breakfast there almost every week. Also, one of the better chai tea lattes out there.
Great vibe. Great staff. Cool history. Charming decor.
Queit place to go with my kids for coffee and treat.
Not much to say. It's alright. Cozy mom and pop kind of place nothing else about it is really amazing. If you want exceptional coffee in Langley go to republica coffee roasters in fort Langley, if you want a place to sit and enjoy a great conversation about your bran flakes or the how great ww2 was for the economy then porters. Your choice.
Cozy, quaint , goodies and coffee
Lovely place.
Love Porters. Cool location great food and friendly staff. Great music too.
Best food ever!
Very nice local coffee shop. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The coffee and tea were both very nice, same with the sweets. It wasn't anything amazing but definitely tasty and well worth it. If you're in the area, you won't be disappointed.
Good place for a morning coffee. I really like their chicken sandwich for lunch.
A little grungy but good coffee
Has a generally fun vibe but the service has become quite slow & the food is mostly just average. Does seem popular with locals & has lots of evening events. Maybe gone downhill somewhat recently?
Good food, great service. Fantastic entertainment.
Love this cozy cafe, former general store. They have fresh made in house products and also have dinner and music nights. They also have an outdoor patio but it can be a bit noisy as it's right next to a round about.
Has been a quality establishment for a long time.
Delicious mochas and cumphy coffeehouse atmosphere
*V-Pass* Your a coffee shop. I could’ve t even have lunch with my 2 young daughters. Wouldn’t even let us sit outside. I will never forget being turned down and having to explain to my girls why we can’t eat here.
Live this old grocery store turned cafe. It also gets a lot of Hallmark filming there. Food is delish. Busy and popular with the neighborhood.
Love this place.
I used to go there a lot when i lived in Langley
Friendly service was good great music homey atmosphere
Imagine a historical setting with all the quaint trappings of modern flavours. Am never disappointed, even if all I'm grabbing is a snack.
We own and operate the Princess and the Pea Hotel across the street from Porter’s Bistro and we love to send our guests there to enjoy live music, fresh baked goodies, and the overall atmosphere. Porter’s Bistro is a unique spot in the heart of Murrayville that brings so much character and life to the historic 5 corners
I've lived in the area over over a year and have always wanted to try Potters, finally tried it and wish I had came in earlier! Absolutey lover it! I went for a breakfast special in a weekday and brang the wife and kids back in the weekend. The breakfast special isn't available on weekends but still work it. Definitely a must visit!
Such a cute place! My singing instructor is upstairs *Song of Stars *******
My fav location! Freshly baked items are all always so tempting, the coffee is just right, the shop has lots of giftware that I always seem to spot a little something for a family member.
Terrific staff!!! (Really awesome). And I love open mic on Thursdays. Also a big fan of the homemade baking!
Best breakfast in Langley.
This coffee shop is right around the corner from where I live but we haven't gone for breakfast before until this weekend. It's great!! Great food, a little on the pricey side but not too bad. It's always fairly busy so that's a good sign. To me that means fresh ingredients. We love the hashbrown potato's. that alone made us come back for more the next morning! Good place and I recommend it. Happy to have such a great establishment walking distance from our house!
Amazing. Great atmosphere. Great music. Very friendly server's.
Lunch was great! Served in a cardboard box so it was easy to take out. Friendly service. The sandwich made with fresh ingredients was served with a tasty pasta salad and chips. Practicing social distancing.
Some of the best coffee in Langley. Haven't had anything from the menu that I didn't like.
So many options great food and friendly service. They take their time to make it just perfect
Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Super food and great pricing!
I cannot fault their food, it's always been very good. Just disappointed that they didn't appear to be following covid rules and regulations.
Espresso etc quiches croissants sandwiches scones fruit crumbles soup and a roast beef dinner once a month apparently. Starbucks prices although meals such as quiche are about $10.95. Live entertainment Thursday and/or Friday. Quaint atmosphere. Counter service
Nice place with a rustic feel. It's a fantastic place to have a coffee and get away from the bustle of the city
Great staff and coffee and food
Great coffee house, love their breakfasts, but good for lunch too. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere.
Go here. Great service, great atmosphere, great people, great food, great drink. And if you come in the evenings, great music
Quaint
Good sandwich, but service a little too slow, and keeping up with tidying the tables, can do better guys!
Historic licenced bistro featuring home cooking and desserts. OK wine and beer selection. Live entertainment on some nights. Interesting assortment of gift ideas.
Awesome food very busy staff excellent
Ginger beet soup..average. grilled cheese sandwich... above average. Chai latte ...above average
Best doughnuts I have ever had. Really good !
Great place.
My go to place for post workout breakfast. Good honest food
The frapp's are good and so I the food keep it up and the customer's Wil keep coming back????
Excellent little place for lunch with tasty food and good service.
Walked out of this place after Monday breakfast and thought Wow this place is GEM
Good food, but self service. Order at front counter. Usually very busy location any day of the week
Small family run place; good service.
Good food and coffee in a historical location.
Great food and atmosphere
Beautiful decor, relaxing atmosphere, good sandwiches and wraps. Delicious goodies!
It's overpriced for what you get, but it's a nice place.
Fabulous as always, we've held our annual Christmas party at Porters for the last 3 years and have never been disappointed. Great food, Great music. Star Touring and Riding Association
Live music is too loud. Frequently closed for private functions.
Food is delicious and fresh. Eggs are always cooked perfectly. It's a cute little place and definitely has that rustic, heritage vibe.
Best breakfast ever and also they have lots of treats gluten free and even full sugar if that's what you desire everything is homemade and the service is tremendous
I live in the Seattle area and have never been to Porter's but the hometown appearance prompted me to look it up on Google maps. I've seen this coffee shop showcased on two Hallmark channel movies: For Better or Worse and Growing the Big One. Looks like a place I'd stop in to soak up the atmosphere.
Had a fabulous time! Good food and music.
Been going here for almost 20 years. Gorgeous general store looking coffee shop.
Great heritage place good snacks
Nice local band, good atmosphere, friendly staff and yummy desserts!
Cute place
We had the ham and cheese croissant and their drip coffee. When trying a new coffee spot, we want to try their most basic coffee since we feel this should shine just as much as the specialty $6+ coffees. Unfortunately they only do medium roast which was more like a light roast and did not have much flavour. While the ham and cheese croissant was good, we didn’t feel it matched with the $11.50 price tag. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was cute. Undetermined at this point if we will return to try the baked goods
It is so cute and charming and the food and drink are great I love it
Lunch was wonderful. Soup was delicious and very fresh.
If you are looking for a breakfast deal. Mon - Fri, $5 before 9am. The atmosphere is old time rustic and friendly. Lots of yummy homebaked goodies and a great place to meet a friend for coffee. This is an historic site that has beep roots and a story to tell. Also check out the gift shop while you are there.
Just a quick note..my 78 yo mother who has been in the community for over 50 years went in to get a coffee with her elderly friend.. Both do not have smart phones so no qr code could be shown. They wanted take out coffee as they always do..they were told they could not be served. No it even a option of I'll bring it to you. You just lost a family of business a family that has been 50 years in the community. So sad.
Eat here. You might get mail.
Antique feel, with music and atmosphere
When we lived a few blocks from this amazing bistro we popped in many time for coffee and delicious homemade bakery including their healthy homemade bread. Yesterday I really enjoyed a delicious spinach salad and fresh rasberry tarts. They still have entertainment on the weekends.
Nice chill atmosphere and cool knicnacks on the wall.
Highly recommended
Piece of local history! The food is awesome!
Great dinner, good music, cozy atmosphere
Quaint local bistro, good menu selection, helpful staff, tasty coffee and treats. Support this local business, please. Reco6.
Go for Friday open mike....and great carrot cake
great unique place- love the atmosphere
Funky bistro...good for breakfast...staff super nice. Lots of locals.
Had a turkey and cranberry sandwich, and a pastry. Value was not great for the price. Still hungry.
A little far for me coming from Port coquitlam. But totally worth the trip. Friendly service great food cool atmosphere. Will go again
So cute.
Great food & super entertaiment.
Delicious little place to stop for a treat!
Great atmosphere! Cool building. Not the place for a coffee connoisseur. I've had three speciality coffees from here, none were good.
Love this place. A great place to meet a friend, have a coffee and a delicious meal!
Country atmosphere fresh food and desserts
Bit pricey however its local and charming. Its in a ton of made for tv movies and some locally filmed tv shows.
Perfect place to meet for breakfast, lunch or coffee/tea. Friendly atmosphere. Delicious food - and fast. A gem in Langley!
Good coffee and breakfast the $9.95 breakfast is worth it
Porter's Mist, their version of London Fog...Yummy????
Relaxed atmosphere
Good food, calm atmosphere, and nice people working there. Portions are a little small for the price but I'll gladly be going again.
Friendly staff and nice customers
Good
It was a first time in Canada I had tea in tea pot. Super good!
ok- so - soooo cute in here. worth coming to get some small town, 1950's feel. Great for tea and they have a super gift section. Awesome pasta bar on Friday nights for 14 bucks- WITH live music. Roast beef dinner on Sat. nights. Book ahead. They accommodate special diets. Great place!!
The cutest, quant little coffee/breakfast cafe. Definitely try the cinnamon buns!
Always amazing! I make it a priority to stop in for breakfast when Im in town on business!!!
You might want to fix your hours on here so they match your hours posted on the building....
Noisey but nice!
Hodge podge of homey food, baked goods, teas and coffees, beer, wine, handicrafts, art. Nice place to sit and chat.
Have been there recently. Food and service are good. Love the ambiance of the old store look.
Live music fri and sat check it out. Not in the summer but they are back at it in September. Open mic on Thursdays starting back in September. Been going there for 4 or 5 years and always have fun
Quaint coffee shop with lovely selection of teas as well. Helpful staff and a few gluten free treats make it a fun place for a person who is Celiac to meet up with friends. Enjoy
Good food . Good selection of items . Friendly service
Great food and entertainment!!
Great coffee !
Had a fantastic time and amazing food will return for sure, very impressed
Great ambience ???? friendly service!
Enjoyed a well-brewed Americano with pastry on the patio. Ambiance-wise, Porter's is charming inside and out. There's a reasonable selection of light breakfast/lunch fare to choose from. Service has some quirks (venue cleanliness, and staying on top of customer needs), but it's more of a low key place so you just ask for what you need. Parking is free.
i would love to give a higher rating but seriously the food is very meh. i specifically asked for no mustard on my roast beef sandwich. boo. got mustard. thats just careless. everyone tries, though, and the atmosphere is good. so, enjoy...
Great people, great food! Lovely ambiance.
Porter's is a gem! I am there for breakfast, lunch or supper several days each week and have been going there for many years. The homemade soups, bread and pastries are particularly yummy. I know most of the staff by name now and they are all friendly and efficient. Yes, Porter's has been used as a location for a number of films and it is a quaint, historic building. It is also an eclectic gift shop. But the real reason you go to Porter's is for the live music. Everything from jazz to pop and rock 'n roll. You will find some of the best musicians in BC playing this 55 seat bistro. This year Porters added Wednesday Jazz Jams to the Thursday "Mic'd up Murrayville" Open mics.(running for the past 4 years) Friday you can hear dixieland, or jazz, and Saturday's there are a variety of different bands to complement the delicious roast beef/Yorkshire pudding buffet. I am very lucky to be within walking distance of a fully licensed music venue. What a treat! Thank you, Karin & Bill Buurmeester for your vision and tireless efforts to bring great food, atmosphere, music and community spirit to Murrayville, Langley!
Friday night Prime Rib dinner is awesome! Great historical building, very cozy and inviting. Live music is great to have with dinner.
Food was okay... do not like lineup ordering. Ordered veggie chili.... veg was hard... and I like a crunchy veg. Server forgot my side order of cornbread. It arrived when chili was consumed except for 3 really hard squash pieces. Meh!
Porters is a gem in Langley, with great food and great customer service. I love their baking!
Had a great time and food and music were good. Great place to go!
Just moved into the area, love this place!
Delicious homemade food and nice ambiance. I've only ever been for breakfast but would love to go in the evening for live music some time.
Sweet staff. Too busy by 10 am
Nice little cafe
Had our company Christmas party here. Amazing food, great service, fantastic music, wonderful atmosphere. Many guests were amazed that this "coffee house" could put this kind of food out. Bill and Karen catered to every need inclusive of food allergies. The success of our party was possible due to Porter's unique quality in food, service and integrity. Many of our local guests are talking about a new venue for date nights or meeting friends. Highly recommend to all.
I love this place. The coffee is so good, the service is great and I love the atmosphere. ????
